Update: Fallout 4 and Battlefield 1 Beta

Hey Guys, Nuka World released yesterday for Fallout 4. However, I wasn't able to play it yesterday because I was at school and came home late from work. I downloaded it last night and got a chance to play it this morning. I will have a review of it once I finished the game and put in an extra couple of hours in order to do the extras the DLC has to offer.

Before I actually started off playing the DLC, I checked my e-mail yesterday morning as part of my regular routine to see this...
I made sure to not include my code...

I started downloading it yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to play it until last night because I had to stay late for work once again. I'm not sure when the beta is going to end, but I know I will have time on the weekend to get a chance to spend time on the beta.

As usual, I will try to put in about 8+ hours before I release my impressions post on the beta because right now it is buggy as hell. I was fortunate enough to get into a server, so I would hate to see how bad the servers would be on Friday or on the weekend.

Xbox Live: Free Games of September 2016- Slightly better....

Hey Guys, it's been a little over a week since I posted anything. The reason why I haven't posted in like a week is because I just started college/university. I've also been busy with work, so it was kind of hard to find the time to actually post anything. Actually, I have some pretty long break between classes, so I do have time to post, but I use that time to study, do homework, or catch up on sleep.

Anyways, I'm sorry if I made you bored with my real life, but I had to let the people who genuinely want to know about my lack of posting. Now, let me continue on with the Games with Gold for September.

Image Provided by Business Insider

For Xbox One owners, Earthlock: Festival of Magic will be free for the whole month of September. Then, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China will be free from September 16th to October 15th.

For Xbox 360 owners, Forza Horizon will be free from September 1st-15th. Then, Mirror's Edge will be free from September 16th-30th.

Onto my thoughts, as usual.

Since Earthlock is a new game, I guess I should give it the benefit of the doubt. However, I am not interested in it. Hell, I'm busy enough with Witcher 3, so I wouldn't even be able to put in the time to play the game. Honestly, they should have picked another game. After seeing reviews of Assassin's Creed Chronicles, I'm turned off. Additionally, I'm not a fan of a side-scrolling Assassin's Creed game. It just wouldn't be the same.

I'm indifferent to racing games, so I can't really put an opinion on Forza. Mirror's Edge is a great game, but I already own the game, so I am not happy about it. However, if you never played Mirror's Edge then you owe it to yourself to play it once it's available to download.

Before I wrap up today, I would like to say that I am going to do my best to bring out a review for the upcoming Nuka World DLC. I am not promising I will be doing it, but I know I will be downloading it since I do have the season pass.

Metal Gear Survive: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I am about a day late with this, but I just watched this trailer yesterday and didn't get a chance to write about it. I wanted to write about the No Man's Sky controversy, but I never played the game and have a passion for Metal Gear, so I decided to write about Metal Gear Survive.

Just the obvious connection to The Phantom Pain is sickening...

What can I say that hasn't been said already? Seriously, there is almost nothing good to say about this pathetic excuse for a game. I'm ashamed to even give my opinions on this game because I am only drawing more attention to it.

Either Konami has run out of ideas or just needs a way to earn a quick buck. Regardless, they thought this new "game" of theirs would sell just based on the concept and the game.

Zombies? Is that the best they could come up with? How about a second Metal Gear Rising? However, I prefer they don't even make another Metal Gear game because the franchise is pretty much over with. Well, it's technically been over since Metal Gear Solid IV, but I guess prequels are okay. I expected Konami to make pinball machines, but I had no idea they would fall back to a zombie game(let alone a zombie Metal Gear game).

Essentially, this is just Call of Duty Zombies mode, but with different variations of zombies and with the Metal Gear name. Horde mode only works if done in different ways that doesn't seem so monotonous. However, zombie horde mode is just overdone. Additionally, it's Konami, so anything they really do is just awful.

Konami recently announced that the game will not be full priced. However, watch it be like $50. I will only give a little respect if the game is way under $15. Even if the game were reasonably priced, I wouldn't even play it because it's not done by Kojima. Metal Gear will not be the same with Kojima. Well, Metal Gear Rising did great, but I'm positive we're not getting a sequel to the game.

Honestly, I would rather let the franchise die peacefully rather than just suffer at the hands of a god awful company that betrays its employees.

Battlefield 1 Gamescom Trailer: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I know I'm writing this pretty late, but I was at work at the time this trailer was released. Additionally, I still have a boner after watching it, so I think I need to see a doctor. Anyways, if you have not yet seen the trailer please go check it out.
Just admire the blaze...

First of all, the flamethrower is just awesome! How long has it been since a flamethrower has been used in a multiplayer game besides Call of Duty? Regardless, it's going to be downright terrifying to deal with someone with a flamethrower in close-quarters combat. It's still good for crowd control nonetheless.

I'm actually excited that battleships are going to be usable in the game or at least I believe they can be used. It would especially useful to get the upper hand on the losing side of a team. However, I'm pretty sure it's just a mortar on a bigger scale, but it's still going to cause mayhem on a bigger scale.

Not sure how horse combat is going to work. It's probably just going to have two passengers with only one being able to actually use a weapon.

I even noticed that there is a strong emphasis on the air combat. Personally, I am not very good at air combat. I can fly a jet and helicopter, but I am not good when it comes to actually attacking or making the proper evasive maneuvers. I hope that there will be no lock-on features in the game for air combat in order to get a realistic approach to air combat. Imagine how long it's going to take for people to get skilled at manually aiming.

I'm not too sure how to feel about elite soldiers. That one elite soldier that was featured in the trailer looked incredibly powerful. If a sniper couldn't take him out, then standard weapons aren't going to do anything. I know that it's similar to Battlefront, but I've never played the full game, so I wouldn't know.

Before I end this, I must add that the open beta starts on August 31st. People who registered for Battlefield Insider may be able to get access to the beta a bit earlier.

Was the Fallout 4 Season Pass Worth It?

Hey Guys, with the Nuka World DLC coming out this month and being the final DLC for Fallout 4 I believe that it's time to evaluate the value we got from the season pass. Although I should be waiting for the Nuka World DLC to release in order to get a definitive evaluation of the season pass, there is more than enough content to talk about the season pass. This is going to be a lengthy article, so get your drinks ready. However, I will include a tl;dr for those of you who are either lazy or unsure about the point I'm going to make.

I loved Fallout 4. The base game was fun to go through, but once you finished the main quest and a majority of the side quests there really wasn't much to do. Before any DLC released, starting a new game was an option, but it wasn't the best option because of the dialogue system being downgraded.

If you are a veteran Fallout player, you would know that most of the DLC released in the past Fallout games(specifically Fallout 3 and New Vegas) were story-driven. You could easily put in 10 hours alone for the Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3. Additionally, all the DLC for Fallout 3 was story-driven. New Vegas had majority story-driven DLC, but there was a couple of miscellaneous DLC that also released for it.

Fallout 4, as of 2016, only has two story-driven DLC. I am not counting Automatron has one of them because it can be beaten in less than 3 hours. Additionally, it is mostly made for crafting. This means that 4 of Fallout 4's DLC available is made for crafting.

I think you got a clue as to where I am getting at. Fallout 4's DLC gave us access to the expansion of the crafting system. Not to say that they are bad, but they were just painfully mediocre. The recent Vault-Tech workshop DLC isn't that bad, but it isn't great. However, the first workshop DLC was just terrible because there really isn't much to do on your settlements to begin with.

Crafting isn't one of my favorite things to do. Minecraft and Terraria just don't peak my interest because I don't like crafting. I prefer to play games with a story rather than just playing a game with no goals. I know I can make my own goals with crafting games and spend endless amounts of time crafting, but it just doesn't give me the same satisfaction of going through a story.

Honestly, I feel like the season pass wasn't worth the $30 I paid for because I just don't enjoy crafting as a whole. However, I am glad I only paid $30 instead of $50. If you enjoy crafting, then you probably got your money's worth out of the game.

However, I believe this was done on purpose because Fallout 4 is clearly not meant for veteran Fallout players. It was dubbed down to appeal to new fans because not everyone is going to be a fan of the slow-paced, complex nature of Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

td:lr: Season pass is not worth it for players looking for story based DLC.

Anyways, I hope that Nuka World is a fitting conclusion to the DLC for Fallout 4. Maybe it will be the best DLC or maybe it will disappoint.

Overwatch- Mercy and Mei to be buffed, Zenyatta to be nerfed: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, since I want to take my time between Overwatch and Witcher 3- if you have not played Witcher 3, get the Game of the Year Edition because it is an amazing game that it worth your time- I decided to take a break from Rainbow Six Siege. Yes, I'm still working on those tips for Rainbow Six Siege, but I am also debating whether or not to also include counters to certain operators.

Let me get back on topic because this isn't going to be a long post since I actually have work after this.

Before I say anything, I have to mention that I hardly put in 50 hours into Overwatch, so I still have a way to go before I have a complete understanding of what Heroes are capable of.

I know how annoying Mei is to most people who play Overwatch. However, it can't be denied that she is good for crowd control. Her range isn't very far, so it's not difficult at all to counter her. As a matter of fact, Reaper and McCree are probably her worst nightmare when it comes to close-ranged combat. Nonetheless, most Overwatch players are probably flipping out that she is getting buffed. However, it's only her Ultimate that is getting buffed. Regardless, this buff isn't as significant as it sounds unless good Mei players know what they are doing.

Mercy kind of needs a buff. Honestly, I'd rather play as Lucio than Mercy mostly because he can heal players around him, provide a speed boost if needed, and his ultimate comes in serious handy. Mercy's ultimate is just as important because it will mean the difference between winning and losing. It's not clear how she is getting buffed, but I feel either her HP should get buffed or her pistol should get buffed. I swear Mercy is made out of paper or something because she could get crushed so easily.

I'm actually a bit pissed that Zenyatta is getting nerfed. Let me explain. I personally do not play as Zenyatta because I am not good with him. It takes skill to use him because you have to be good at aiming and have a good sense of who needs a harmony orb or a discord orb.

Out of all heroes that could be nerfed, Zenyatta just drew the short straw. Junkrat and Roadhog are once again free to be as overpowered as they want. That makes perfect sense. Seriously, I hate Junkrat and Roadhog with a passion because it takes little to no skill to use them.

Fuck you Blizzard for not nerfing the right heroes! First, McCree is nerfed because his fan the hammer can take down most players even though McCree takes skill to use. Now, Zenyatta is getting nerfed because his discord orb is apparently too strong.

Update: My recent game pickups #2

Hey Guys, it's another slow month for gaming. Fall is around the corner, which means that most of the biggest games of the year are releasing. I'd like to call it Broketober. Before I actually go broke for buying new video games, I decided to pick up even more games I haven't got a chance to try out.

I didn't buy a lot since I kind of need money to buy books for school, so I did the best I could with the limited budget I have.

Yeah, just two for now
I actually bought Borderlands: The Handsome Collection sometime last month. It was on sale at Gamestop for like $15. Since The Handsome Collection comes with two games and all the DLC, I found it impossible to let this deal pass me up.

However, I haven't really got a chance to play it. I already owned Borderlands 2 with the DLC that came with the Game of the Year Edition, so I installed The Pre-Sequel first because I never played it and I don't have enough room to install both games. From what little time I spent playing the Pre-Sequel, I would say it's a fun game. I just wish I had time to go back to it.

Witcher 3 was a game I had my eyes on for over a year now. I just never got around to it for two reasons: I never finished Witcher 2 and I was afraid that I didn't have the time to play it.

The reason why I haven't finished Witcher 2 is because I got stuck on part and haven't picked it up since. I already regret that decision since it was a great game. Unfortunately, I had to uninstall it from my hard drive to make room. One of these days, I will get back into the game.

Since I didn't complete Witcher 2, I wasn't sure if I would be lost if I just went into Witcher 3. However, it really isn't necessary to complete Witcher 1 and 2 to get into Witcher 3.

I almost threw a fit during The Game Awards when Witcher 3 won Game of the Year instead of Metal Gear Solid V. However, I understand why it won because I am having a blast with Witcher 3 right now. I've been switching between Overwatch and Witcher 3 in my free time. I put almost 20 hours into Witcher 3 and barely progressed through the story because of how much there is to do in the game.

Although I really haven't put in that much time into Witcher 3, I can say that it's worth picking up right now! There really is no excuse not to get the game other than if you are indifferent, don't like the franchise, or are waiting for the Game of the Year Edition. However, if you are thinking about getting the game please stop thinking about it and get it. It's totally worth your time and hard earned money.

Overwatch Summer Games Update: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I know this update launched earlier this week, but I never got a chance to talk about it. I haven't talked about Overwatch since I wrote my article about McCree.

Image Provided by Rock Paper Shotgun
Before I go into my thoughts, I should first let you know that this is a time-limited event that will end by August 22nd. If you want any of these skins, you need to get them before they are gone forever. Well, I hope it's not forever.

Anyways, I love how Lucioball is a homage to Rocket League. I wouldn't say it's a blatant rip-off since it's only temporary I assume. I'd rather play Rocket League instead, but it's still a cool week brawl event. I can't wait to see what's coming up in the week coming up.

My main issue with this update is the Summer Loot Box. Seriously, it's already enough that the random loot box system will make even the patient of men throw their controller out of frustration. Overwatch players know that feeling after busting their asses off for hours trying to level up to get a loot box and end up getting shit items.

That's exactly what's going on with me! I hardly have the time to play the game, so I've been trying to squeeze in the time to play the game and commit to at least leveling up once a day to get a loot box.

As of writing this, I am on level 38. I know that I am such a low level, but keep in mind that I don't really have the time to play the game as much as I want to. Anyways, I've been getting nothing but summer voice lines, player icons, and victory poses. I have yet to get a summer skin.

I am working my ass off just for this skin only,

Image Provided by Rock Paper Shotgun
Yes, I love playing as McCree. Even though I do like Tracer's skin as well, I prefer McCree's patriotic outfit. Besides, I can't see Tracer's ass through her new skin anyway. Yes, I do love Tracer's ass, but that's besides the point.

Personally, I believe that this update was made for a quick buck. Think about it. The event is time-limited and the loot boxes are available to buy through microtransactions. Because I haven't gotten any legendary items, I assume you have a higher chance of getting better items by buying loot boxes. However, it's still a gamble anyways.

This update would be great if only there was a more efficient way of earning loot boxes at a faster rate. Most of us don't have the time to earn these loot boxes and don't want to buy them. It would have been cool to buy these loot boxes by using in-game credits.

Amazon's Battlefield 1 Collector's Edition: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, yes I am writing two articles today. Because I missed a couple of days and I feel like talking about this, I decided to write another article. Anyways, remember that Battlefield 1 Collector's Edition I talked about a while ago? Probably not because I barely remember it either.

This has to be one of the most confusing things that I have seen Amazon do. Even though I am not interested in buying collector's edition of video games in general, this caught my attention.

Image Provided by Gamespot

Amazon is offering the collector's edition without the game for $130. But hey, if you have Amazon Prime then it's only $104! It's about $190 for the collector's edition that comes with the game.

Although this may sound like a stupid idea, this really isn't that bad. Think about if for a moment. What if you already have the game, but you want the collector's edition? You could always buy this in order to avoid having an extra copy of the game. If you pre-order the game digitally, then this collector's edition of the game is also a good idea if you really want it.

However, nobody should be paying over a $100 for this collector's edition as of now! We don't know if the game will be broken by the time it comes out. It's already guaranteed that the servers will be jammed considering the amount of players who will be logged on day one.

Personally, I'm not sure if I should get Battlefield 1 day one. I will be buying the game, but I need to wait for either a review or when the servers are in stable conditions.

Call of Duty Haters are Hypocrites

Hey Guys, I'm going to go off topic for a bit to update you on my real life. I am sore as hell because I've been working at my new job for almost two weeks. I kind of need the job in order to pay for school. Additionally, I work the evening shift, so I get home pretty late. Once school starts back up, I have to find the time to continue writing. Fortunately, I will have some free time in between classes.

Okay, now back to the topic at hand before I start putting you all to sleep.

Last night, I stumbled upon an article on Gamespot that was entitled, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Is This Generation's Best-Selling Game". If you haven't noticed, this is just a clickbait title. However, it's not necessarily wrong. By Best-Selling, I'm 100% sure it means how fast it sold rather than just lifetime sales. Shit, there was no way Black Ops 3 can beat Grand Theft Auto V in terms of lifetime sales. Keep in mind that GTA V has been out for almost three years and still makes the top 10 on NPD Group for best-selling games.

Despite the fact that there are so many players saying "COD is Dead" or "It's not cool to make fun of the Dead", they don't realize that it's still selling like hotcakes. Jesus Christ, do these comments make me want to cut my own dick off. I'm not even a big fan of Call of Duty games, but I buy them mostly to troll all the tryhards and assholes in the game. I don't go around saying, "COD is Dead" because there are just too many people who do play.

I can pretty much guarantee these assholes who proclaim "COD is Dead" still buy the games anyways for whatever reason. Think it about, if you hated something so much then you wouldn't bother going out of your way to bash it because you don't want to associate yourself with it any longer. However, this is the internet.

What even surprised me is that the article stated Activision claimed that Infinite Warfare's pre-order numbers are rising for the more expensive versions of the game. If you've been living under a rock or just don't care, the more expensive versions of the game come with the remaster of Modern Warfare.

That's all for now, guys. I'm just really tired and need some rest.
Till Next Time!!
