Troubleshooting: My Xbox 360 Wired Headset, I Can't Hear Other Players!

Hey Guys, now today welcome to the troubleshooting segment in VGT and today we will be talking about an issue with the Xbox 360 Wired Mic. But this is for people who can speak to people but they can't hear other people. Now there are three solutions to fixing this problem, first buying a new Mic, two using some tools to fix the broken wire in the earpiece, or the easiest. The easiest way to fix this problem, is to hear people from your TV. And I'll walk you through it.

First, click the middle button of the Xbox 360 wireless controller. I highlighted the settings because you need to go configure some thing over there. Go on "Preferences", then select it. When you have selected Preferences choose "Voice". Now once you clicked Voice, go all the way to the bottom where it says "Play Through Both" and now it should be working again.

Xbox 360 Tech: Wired Headset and Wireless Headset

Hey Guys, welcome to an all new post in the Tech series of VGT, and today we will be discussing the Xbox 360 Wired and Wireless headset to see which one is better.

First let's talk about the regular Wired Headset, there are so many types of Wired Headsets for the Xbox 360 by different companies besides Microsoft. The Wired Headsets though are very easy to break if you drop them or play catch with it. These Wired Headsets last like Three months, or shorter. By a couple of weeks it would start making weird noises or you can't hear anybody. Then they get to a point where they don't work at all. And I'm at my third Headset already because it doesn't last to long. But one positive thing about the Wired Headset is that it comes to a fair price of 20 bucks. So if you want to use voice chat for like three months or shorter and want a cheap mic, you would want this Wired Mic.

Now let's talk about the Wireless Headset, these come in different colors. So the Wireless Headset is small and can clip onto your ear. Now there are some negative things about the Wireless Headset that include that it runs on batteries. Never forget Wireless things run on batteries, so you can use the Wireless Headset for as long as the batteries can run. Also you can lose this Headset very easily, because of it's size you have to find a perfect place to put it so you don't lose it. And it can also disconnect on you which is pretty annoying, and it disconnects if your to far away from the console. But this Headset can last forever instead of three Months! And you can get this Wireless Headset for 50 bucks, but it's worth the money.


Ok it's your choice to choose which Mic is better, in my opinion the Wireless Headset is way better then the regular old Wired Headset! If you want a Mic then choose one of these, or get one of those expensive Turtle Beach Headset, which are pretty good.

Prototype 2 Release Date!

Hey Guys, it's been awhile since the release of the first Prototype video game and it was a great success in my opinion. If you never heard of Prototype click this link to check it out to see if you like it. But for those of you who own Prototype, Prototype 2 release date was finally confirmed. Expect Prototype 2 to be in stores by April 24, 2012. Just one more year away and we get to play it.

Not much is known about the plot, but Prototype 2 has a different Protagonist despite Alex Mercer as the Protagonist in the original game. But by looking at the trailer, you probably have to kill Alex. Then that would totally suck since Alex was awesome, but it seems he's the Antagonist of the game as I assume. We'll have to wait until the release of the game in order to see what the plot is. But I know this for sure, Alex Mercer is the Anti-Hero and the new Protagonist Sgt. James Heller will be a Hero, so I'm pretty sure Alex will be the villain in Prototype 2.

Like I said again look for Prototype 2 in stores on April 24, 2012 available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. This game will probably be better then the original Prototype! But there will be no Online multiplayer, most of the games released these days just have to have Online Multiplayer. Even some games that never had Online multiplayer just have to have it, take Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for example.

More Info On The Wii U Tablet

Hey Guys, next year the Wii U will be releasing and as we head closer to it's release date, you should first know more about the tablet. By the way, Nintendo has also confirmed that the Wii U will not have a built in Blue-Ray, sorry to mention this but it's a fact that you need to know. Anyways here's a diagram explaining the Wii U's tablet.

1. Camera
With the camera you can take photos of yourself, and the Camera is also similar to the Nintendo 3DS' Camera. Though I'm not sure what else this camera will be capable of.

2. Touch Screen
The touch screen comes in handy since your able to see gameplay on the tablet and can use it while the TV is off! That is pretty impressive, but how far do you have to stay with the console in order for it to work, that remains a mystery as of now. Plus you can use a stylus to use with the touchscreen, which is similar to the Nintendo DS.

3. Speaker
Now your also able to hear your game from the the tablet instead of hearing sound effects from the original Wii's speakers. Also the tablet has a built-in Microphone, I suppose it's used for online use or games compatible with the Mic. And let's not forget that there is also a headphone slot built on the tablet which is located on top of it.


4. Battery Life
Yes, the Wii U tablet runs on Batteries as usual for all wireless controllers these days. Nintendo states that the batteries can run out quickly! But luckily the batteries are rechargeable, so you don't need to worry about buying more batteries just to use the tablet.

5. Controls
Controls finally appear to the Wii U! The controls seem similar to the Nintendo DS, 3DS, PSP, and the regular Wii. But at least it has controls instead of a nunchuck, which can get pretty annoying to use it sometimes. And NOW it can compete with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with it's controls.


I hope this diagram was able to help you guys, but I still wanted a wired controller for the Wii because I want to just sit down and play a system. Well look for the release of the Wii U around April 1 to December 31, 2012.

Battlefield 3 May Not Be Launching To Steam

Hey Guys, on Steam you can purchase games online and chat with users who also use Steam. You can do a lot of things on Steam. It's just like Onlive which is very similar to Steam! But one of the biggest games of the year may not be launching to Stem and that is Battlefield 3! Let's see why EA may not release Battlefield 3 to steam.

Retailer suggests that EA's shooter might not appear on Steam.

EA's hotly-anticipated Battlefield 3 may not come to Steam when it's released later in the year, US retail giant GameStop has suggested.

Financial research firm Baird stated as much following a meeting with GameStop's management team, saying that the "upcoming EA title Battlefield 3 will be sold as a download through GameStop, but not through Steam."

It was confirmed to Develop that this news comes directly from company executives. The DICE shooter will come to other digital download services, however.

The Baird report continues: "Given Steam's dominance – and insistence on users downloading a Steam client application – publishers are likely to be receptive to a competitive alternative,"

EA recently launched Origin, a digital download service set to rival Valve's. And last month saw the EA-published Crysis 2 removed from Steam after a DLC exclusivity deal was signed with another service. EA claimed no responsibility for the removal or the deal.

It may well be missing out on Steam, but we're still looking forward to Battlefield 3's launch on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 25 in the US, and three days later in Europe.

 

 

Well this would suck for people who don't have any consoles to play Battlefield 3 from, but right now I don't need to worry about it!

Annihilation Map Pack Release Date Announced On PS3 And PC

If you're still rocking-out with Call of Duty: Black Ops on your PlayStation 3 or PC, you may have been eagerly awaiting the Annihilation Map Pack to freshen-up your online experience. Your friends with an Xbox 360 have already been playing these new maps, and now Activision has given an exact date as to when PS3 and PC gamers can get in on the fun, too.

On Thursday, July 28th, the Annihilation Map Pack will be available on the PlayStation Store and for PC. Four new "standard multiplayer arenas" will be included: Silo, Hangar 18, Drive-In and Hazard. Also included is a new "jungle Zombies experience" called Shangri-La. We have full impressions of the 360 version of Annihilation if you want to know more.

No price has been announced, but Dan Amirch of Activision reached out to a poster in the PS Blog's comments about pricing, saying that it's "to be determined, but probably in line with previous Black Ops map packs, since it's the same amount of content." In other words, this map pack is likely to run you $15.



Sorry Wii users, no packs will be released on your version of Call Of Duty Black Ops since no release date for any map packs have been announced.

Why Does PSN Have More Members Then Xbox Live?

Hey Guys, as of this day their are over 77 million accounts created for the PlayStation Network and that is a lot of accounts. But why does it have more users then Xbox Live? Let's Find out why.


Since the hacking of the PlayStation Network most of the accounts made were deleted but after the PlayStation Network was restored, most of the accounts were re-made again. But a little fact to prove that PlayStation Network still is 3rd for the most Network services used on a console. There were over 50 million units of PlayStation 3 sold. But it also counts for PSP which sold over 67 million units but we are talking about consoles here. And users can create PlayStation Network accounts online on their PC. And most of the accounts come from the PC and PSP!


Now the Xbox 360 system itself has sold over 55 million units as of today. And the Xbox doesn't have any portable devices just yet. But users can create their accounts on Windows Phone 7, PC, and Games For Windows. But you need an actual Xbox Live Account! And so far Xbox Live as over 35 million users as of today and it's probably still growing.


Now the PlayStation Network has more users then Xbox Live because it has multiple places to create an account for it. While Xbox Live pretty much has only a console to be making accounts and barley anybody makes their accounts online since they want to experience it on a console. But sooner or later Xbox Live will have more members then the PlayStation Network and it will be Microsoft who laughs at Sony in their face.

My Recommened Class To Get Better Skills

Hey Guys, are you tired of your class because it's too weak and it gets you killed? Well here is the Class that I use that is pretty sure to help you whoop the Crap outta some people!

Ok Let's start with your Primary weapon,

Yes the Commando is the best way to go or should I say "Daddy's Little Girl"! It's rapid fire capability can be powerful against your enemies. Also the Commando has a pretty short reload time so you don't die while reloading, well at least some of the time. The recoil is pretty low so it shouldn't be too shaky, best used if you crouch. Now, the iron sight is pretty good, but I use an ACOG sight and A Suppressor attachment.

Let's see your Secondary Weapon,

My Secondary weapon choice is the CZ75! Ok, the recoil is pretty low except when you use the Full-Auto attachment to the weapon. I would recommend the Extended Magazine attachment or the Suppressor. I use the Suppressor for quiet kills.

Here are the grenades you should use,

The Semtex is easier to use since it doesn't blow up in your hands when you hold onto it too long and it doesn't bounce somewhere like the frag grenade. The Flashbang is easy to use against campers and a room full of enemies. But the risk is, it blinds your enemies and it blinds you if your in close range.

What should be your equipment?

The Claymore can be used if your a Sniper or a camper. Enemies wouldn't be able to see it at most of the time. And they can die instantly depending if they have the Flank Jacket perk equipped.

Now let's start with the Perks,

For Perk 1 you should use the Ghost Perk since you're hidden from Spy Planes. But if you upgrade to the Pro version of Ghost, it's a whole different story. When you have Ghost Pro the crossair doesn't turn red on you, so it's best used if you prone since enemies will think you're a dead body. Also Ghost Pro protects you from dogs, Gunships, Infrared Scope, and the Camera Spike. So I highly recommend this for quiet kills, since I equipped a Suppressor to my Commando.

Your Second Perk should be,

For Perk 2 you should use the Warlord Perk since you can equip two attachments to your weapon. When you upgrade to the Pro Version of the Warlord Perk, you gain one extra Lethal and Tactical grenade. Now the only thing bad about Warlord is that you can only create specific combinations.

Your Last and Final Perk should be,

For Perk 3 you should equip the Ninja Perk since it lowers the noise of everything you do. When you upgrade to Ninja Pro, your every move is silenced completely and you can hear your enemies even louder. But it's important to learn the languages from all the teams to tell the differences from friend or foe since you can hear the enemy better.


This class should help you in the field of battle but it's a class for stealth kills. But it'll make you a better player in Black Ops.

Prestige Mode, Why Do We Need It?

Hey Guys, if you play Call Of Duty online then your probably familiar with Prestige Mode that you unlock after reaching the highest level in the Multiplayer. Well, why do we exactly need Prestige Mode? All it does is drop your rank back to level One, unlock items, and LOSE ALL YOUR WEAPONS!! Just to let you Guys know, I Prestige twice already and it's a pain to work hard to rank up.

Let's talk about the Prestige Modes' history, Prestige Mode first appeared in Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. Then it continued on to Call Of Duty World At War, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Call Of Duty Black Ops, and possibly in the upcoming game Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Yet so far, it's just a pain in the neck.

Why would Infinity Ward and Treyarch do this to their players!? In the military I know they have Prestige Medals and the game publishers want to make Call Of Duty Realistic and all. But having to work back from Rank 1 and go on to the max level again?! That's just plain ridiculous. But note to all, Prestige Mode is optional and you don't need to do it.












This was just added, these are the Prestige emblems for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3. As you can see there are only 10 with the maximum level to be 80.

Like, I said Prestige Mode just basically takes all your Weapons away and resets your perks back to normal. So if you had Pro versions of Perks, you can kiss them goodbye. Even all of your COD points you earned will go down to 0! So if you want to Prestige, go on and do it to trade in your rank but remember the risk, there's no going back.

T-Bagging, Do You Use it?

Hey Guys, now a days do you ever see anybody T-Bag lately? In any FPS games online, anywhere? Well it's kinda weird how nobody T-Bags anymore. To be honest, I still T-Bag! I like to make fun of everybody I kill online, it's like you're so hacked off all you can do is rub your nuts on your Enemy! It's just so hilarious!

But you wanna know which game is better to T-Bag in? The Halo series, it's pretty easy to do it. In Black Ops, it's just really hard to do it! Though T-Bagging does come with a disadvantage. First of all, your sitting ducks to all enemies in sight! Also, the enemy you T-Bagged can team up with another player to kill you. And you can get Avoided on Xbox Live if you T-Bagged! Though, that really sucks.




Like I said there are barley any T-Baggers anymore online now a days. It's almost as if it just disappeared off the face of the Earth. But even though I T-Bag, I really hate people who T-Bag me.
