Everything New announced for Call of Duty: Ghosts

Hey Guys, the new multiplayer for Call of Duty: Ghosts was reveled earlier today. Since there were so things announced about Ghosts, I'll do mini posts for each announcement.

The Trailer itself

I'm not going to lie, but Ghosts by far has the best trailer for any other Call of Duty game. New mechanics are actually being put into the game. Not only new mechanics, but also a new game engine that allows for environmental destruction. I'm more hyped about the whole character customization option in this game than anything else so far. Based on the trailer, it may be speculated that female characters may even be playable in the multiplayer.

Xbox Live: Free Games in August

Hey Guys, it's now time for a new game to become free game of August. The first game of the month to be free is none other than, Crackdown.

I myself have not even played Crackdown. Crackdown is a game from 2007 and the main reason anyone purchased the game was because the game contained the beta for Halo 3. Much like Bulletstorm, Crackdown became a surprise hit. The game even spawned a sequel, however, I knew that game was a disappointment.

In addition to Crackdown, another game was announced to be free. Dead Rising 2 is the next free game after Crackdown. Not only is Dead Rising 2 free, but it's DLC Case Zero will also be free. I already played Dead Rising 2, however, this game was fun and very difficult.

Both of these games are actually pretty good. Which means there is a possibility that Microsoft may release better free games.

VGT Weekly Update #1

Hey Guys, since there really isn't anything too major going on in the gaming world I decided to start doing weekly updates. I noticed that ratings were getting lower because I haven't been posting that much lately. Not to worry, I'll start trying to post regularly. Anyways, back to the weekly update.

The new and final DLC for Dishonored will release on August 13th on Xbox Live for 800 MP($10).
However, I only get DLC if I'm really interested or if it's part of an episodic series. (I'm looking at you Walking Dead).

Capcom is having a sale on Xbox Live. Games that are on sale include,
  • Asura's Wrath: $10
  • Ultimate Marvel Versus Capcom 3: $15
  • Resident Evil 5: $10
  • Devil May Cry HD Collection: $15
  • Devil May Cry 4: $10
  • Dark Void: $5
  • Lost Planet 2 : $5
Add-ons are also on sale. However, there is just way too many to name. Also, Assassin's Creed 2 is available now as a free game for Xbox Live. If you haven't played Assassin's Creed 2 (which a majority of you probably have), download this game immediately. This is the best Assassin's Creed game in the series. I have played Assassin's Creed 3, but I haven't had the time to post a review of it. Trust me, Assassin's Creed 3 is disappointing to veteran Assassin's Creed players. One day I'll post a review of Assassin's Creed 3.

For you PC Gamers, the Steam sell is still going on. If your wallet hasn't been robbed, go waste your rent money on the Steam sell.

If you're wondering what happened to the "Two Gamers" series, don't worry about it. I know it's been a while since I published the last article, but I'm currently working on one. I have about 3 articles done, but I need to read over them to make sure they're good to go.

I noticed that my Rants posts are becoming popular. I just wanted to let my feelings out, but I never knew people are so interested in people ranting. I'll probably rant more often, but too much to the point where I get sued for Harassment.

A survey recently conducted by IGN shows that people prefer the PS4 over the Xbox One.

The scale was from 1 to 5. Where 1 is less important and 5 is most important. The survey shows that people care more about price then anything. Microsoft, we live in a world where Economics really affects the way people think. Why would you set the price higher for your console when your competitor's console is over $100 cheaper? It seems everyone only do things just because they get paid. That's just sad.

I'll see you guys next week on the next weekly update.
Till Next Time!!

Overpriced DLC RANT!

Hey Guys, the Video Game Industry is starting to grow more stingy. Companies like EA and Ubisoft are now increasing the price of DLC. What sense does that make!?

Before anyone says anything, I know that these DLC prices are high because video game companies want to make a profit from their games. I understand that; however, why would a consumer pay $60 for a video game that isn't complete. Some DLC are not even worth purchasing especially skin or picture packs. I have no problem spending $5 or less on additional content, but $10 and up is just atrocious. DLC is so overprices that most video game companies started selling Season Passes to make their DLC free. $30 for a Season Pass isn't bad at all. In fact, it's actually a money saver. However, it still doesn't mean everyone will buy it. Maybe someone just wants a single DLC pack and that's it. Why pay $30 for that one single DLC when you can get it at a cheaper price? EA is infamous for releasing their DLC at such high prices. It's no wonder why they won Worst Company of the year.

We live in a world where Economics negatively impacts the choices we make. People will do anything to make sure they don't spend a ton of their hard earn cash on their wants. Companies need to make money, so they put their products on high prices to make a profit. However, the Video Game Industry will be doomed if they don't do anything about DLC pricing.
See you on the next rant!

The Walking Dead: 400 Days Review

Hey Guys, just over an hour ago I purchased The Walking Dead: 400 Days on Xbox Live and completed it in just an hour. The Walking Dead: 400 Days is actually a pretty good episode.

Story: 9.5
The Walking Dead: 400 Days focuses on five characters with their own stories. These characters may not seem likable, but they are just as likable to the original cast of characters from Season 1 of The Walking Dead. However, the characters in 400 Days seem to be more merciless or harmless (depending on how you play) than the characters from The Walking Dead. Several references of past characters are made as well.

Gameplay: 8
Just like the Original Walking Dead game, gameplay mostly consist of point-and-click mechanics. Your choices also effect the way 400 Days flows, especially towards the ending of this DLC. Nothing too new is introduced to the gameplay.

Graphics: 8
The Walking Dead is a multi-platform game, so I can't bash on the graphics. However, these graphics still do a great job to bring some nostalgia of the comic books.

VGT SCORE: 8.9 OUT OF 10
I personally would have enjoyed if Clementine made an appearance in 400 Days. I kept on predicting that the characters would at least find Clementine. However, 400 Days does a great job to make the player engage in the game by making the player wonder what is going to happen next. I really recommend that you buy 400 Days if you played the recent episodes in The Walking Dead.

Two Free Games a month for Xbox Live Gold members RANT!

Hey Guys, Microsoft announced during E3 that Xbox Live Gold members will be receiving two free games a month. However, this only lasts up until the Xbox One release. Now let me get this straight, two free games a month up until the Xbox One releases? That doesn't sound bad, right? Wrong!
First of all, Microsoft first announced Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3 will be free. Whatever happened to that? Currently, Fable 3 is the only free game provided to Xbox Live Gold Members. However, it has already been confirmed that Assassin's Creed 2 will be free next month. This isn't the only reason why this two free games a month is getting me angry. Another reason is the release of the games. According to the Xbox website, the games will release on the 1st and 16th of each month. It's June 20th and still no other free game has been announced. I hope this is a one time error, so I'm not too mad over this. Now, my MAIN reason why I'm angry over this deal are the games themselves. I already own Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3. About every Xbox 360 owner has the game already! Why not put in brand new games or put games that are under-the-radar, but are good? I just find it a waste of time for Microsoft to be making games free even though most people might already own the game.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not too satisfied about this deal. If Microsoft was so thankful about everyone joining Xbox Live, why not make NEW games free. I don't care if they just add ONE new game free. I just want to have a $60 game for FREE. Maybe Microsoft can give deals to Xbox Live Members on the Xbox One!
Till Next Time!!
