Hey Guys, a new trailer as well as gameplay has been shown for Homefront: The Revolution. It's been a year since the last time a gameplay demo or trailer has been shown for this game. However, here it is and I'm pretty much going to tell you what the trailer is saying and what I think.
The trailer was actually underwhelming to say the least. It's essentially a child giving a "Thank You" speech to the Greater Korean Republic while a montage shows a bunch of civilians rebelling against them in the process to show the lie that they aren't thankful while also showing the brutality of the GKR. I think they could have done a better job with the trailer, but it does enough to show the atmosphere of the game.
I'm not a person for graphics, but the graphics to this game are pretty stunning even on consoles. The demo showcased the Xbox One version of the game in case you didn't notice.
The gameplay can be described as a Far Cry clone. Literally, the game is open-world, has a stealth system and can conquer enemy camps. Additionally, there is this one screen weapon customization that is very similar to Crysis. Essentially, the gameplay really isn't anything special.
Here is what really ticked me off. The Resistance is just WAY too overpowered. Seriously, this is a game where the enemy should be menacing and that every fight with them should be a struggle or even avoid combat all together.
Seriously, the members of the Resistance have access to high-powered weapons and armor! I feel that maybe they should be armored with pistols and other light-weapons as well as wearing little-to-no armor to show that these are just normal people!
Honestly, this game has a lot of potential, but the action should be minimal! It'll just be another Call of Duty: Ghosts! Stealth should be a top priority in this game that way it can boost the level of anxiety that players can feel to know what it's like to go up against an army that is more skilled and powerful than the player!
The beta will be released by the end of 2015 for Xbox owners first. Seriously, they have to stop this timed console exclusivity stuff.
Till Next Time!!
