Buy Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, get every game in the series for free!

Hey Guys, you might be thinking the same thing when you saw the title of this article. However, this is actually a real thing! During Gamescom, Microsoft and the Coalition have announced that every Gears of War game will be backwards compatible on the Xbox 360 this fall.

It was also revealed that anyone who plays Gears of War: Ultimate Edition between August 25th and the end of 2015 will get every Gears of War game free. I added the bold letters to show emphasis on the deal in case you misunderstood like I did.

To be totally honest, who doesn't have every game in the franchise? People who have never played Gears of War before? This is a franchise that you must get every game in the series to completely know what's going on in the story with the exception of Gears of War: Judgement. 

Well, actually Gears of War: Judgement kind of ties into Gears of War 3, but there really isn't anything to major to spoil in their.

Additionally, most games in the franchise with the exception of Gears of War 2 has been given free to players for the Games with Gold program. I found them useless since I already have every game on disc besides Judgement. Judgement was the only free Gears of War game I got digitally.

If you never played Gears of War or started late on the franchise and don't wanna break the bank, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a pretty good deal for $40.
