A Serious Post On Violent Video Games

Hey Guys, I want to talk about a serious topic today. We all know about the Connecticut Incident that occurred on December 14th. However, what makes me angry is that many people want to pinpoint the blame on violent video games. I want to state a few reasons why this is such an impulsive accusation.

People Have a Conscience
In reality, people know the difference between right and wrong. There are about 6 billion people in the world and a majority of them play video games. I don't see anybody now a days doing carjackings or bank robberies. I live in Illinois and surprisingly, the crime rate has actually started to decrease here.

People With Asbergers Are Humans Too!
The shooter is 20-year old Adam Lanza. He happens to have Asbergers as well. People have also been blaming that people with Asbergers Syndrome are more susceptible to actions in video games than anyone else. I like to contradict this statement because there is NO EVIDENCE proving that this is true. I happen to personally know friends and family with Asbergers Syndrome and Autism who play violent video games and are perfectly normal!

Video Games Are For Entertainment!
Video Games and Movies depict extremely violent actions that are meant for entertainment. Video Games are made for people to enjoy, so they can be somebody they aren't and escape reality. Yet, the media want to blame violent Movies and Video Games for the tragedy. Think about this for a minute, the reason for these violent media is for ENTERTAINMENT. Besides, these industries make billions of dollars in revenue. So please, Movies and Video Games are connected in these shootings.

So for all of you who also blame violent video games for the Connecticut shootings, you're 100% idiotic. These forms of media are for Entertainment, not some kind of training simulator.
Till Next Time!!
