Xbox Live: Free Games of July 2016- So far away...

Hey Guys, Microsoft took their sweet time choosing which games are going to be free for July. Because of how long it was taking them, there were leaks as to which games were going to be free. Guess what? The leaks were somewhat correct.

As usual, let me present to you the games then give my opinion that you guys might not care about.

For Xbox One owners, The Banner Saga 2 will be free from July 1st to July 31st. Then, Tumblestone will be free starting July 16th to August 15th.

For Xbox 360 owners, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 will be free from July 1st to July 15th. It will then be replaced by Tron: Evolution on July 16th to July 31st.

Okay, let me give you my opinions that you may not care about.

I am totally disappointed by the Xbox One library. None of those titles appeal to me, nor do I want to even try them. I know it sounds like I have tunnel vision, but we are pretty much entitled to get a AAA title at least once a month because of how much we already have to pay for Xbox Live.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is actually a very good game. Why they made the sequel free first, I have no idea. Personally, I feel that they shouldn't have made it free because the game along with its predecessor was given for free to people who purchased Rainbow Six: Siege. Additionally, the game has aged quite a bit, so a lot of people may not even enjoy anymore especially if they play a ton of Call of Duty.

I don't even care about Tron: Evolution. I hardly care for movie tie-in games. Sure, there are some damn good movie tie-in games, but those are hard to come by nowadays.

Maybe August will be a better month. Personally, they should have made Rocket League free because I enjoyed the game when it was free for the weekend. What a terrible time to pick these titles. Everyone knows that summer is the slow season for gaming.

I got a message from Xbox Live...

Hey Guys, I know it's been a while since I made a post. I've actually been busy playing Doom and Alien: Isolation. I know what most of you may be thinking: why are you playing Alien: Isolation? Well, I never got a chance to play it and got it dirt cheap.

Anyways, I check my e-mail everyday just in case if there is anything important. This particular e-mail left me skeptical because I'm pretty sure it's bullshit, but then I got more into it. Just have a look for yourself.

Literally, I don't remember "harassing" any player because I don't use voice chat often

Under my freedom of speech, I can talk as much shit about the Xbox Live Enforcement Team as I want. I'm not going to slander them, but I will provide some "constructive" criticism.

I've never been a fan of the Xbox Live Enforcement Team to begin with. Yeah, they do go after the right people, but they take what seems like an eternity to actually take action. My biggest issue with this suspension is the fact that I can get suspended for trash talking while people who hack and cheat pretty much get immunity.

Where's the free speech? I trash talk on Call of Duty, but I mostly do it to troll try-hards in the game. I don't trash talk people unless they deserve it.

However, I can't be too mad over it since this is my first offence. I guess I have to be more careful of what I tell other people otherwise years of purchases on Xbox Live would go to waste.

Project Scorpio: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I know what I said about talking about new consoles. However, I need to talk about this because of how damaging it really is.
It's expected to release is Holiday 2017

Look, I know I sound like I'm being pessimistic, but I'm just keeping it real with you guys because if I see bullshit I'm going to call out the bullshit. Now, I will give this console some credit because it's adequate enough to compete with PCs. If you haven't seen the trailer, I noticed they put emphasis on the 6 teraflop processor. Not bad at all for a console.

Anyways, the biggest takeaway of this trailer was the 4K support for Project Scorpio. Yes, 4K gaming will be possible for Project Scorpio. However, you need to have a 4K TV to get the best experience from Project Scorpio. I'm not kidding you could see the proof here. Phil Spencer even suggests getting the Xbox One S if you don't own a 4K TV.

How many of you have or know someone with a 4K TV? Not many I suppose. Personally, I don't know anyone with a 4K TV. I don't own a 4K TV because I don't really have a use for it due to the low amount of support for it. I get that there are channels dedicated to 4K, but most of them are for sports and I'm not a big sports fan.

If you don't own a 4K TV, you pretty have to spend at least $500 on both the TV and console. I'm assuming that Project Scorpio will cost around $300-$500. This is exactly what pisses me off about Project Scorpio.

I have no idea how many times I said this, but what the hell did they wait this long to create a more powerful console? It's been almost three years since the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released. However, they are already releasing more consoles. Not even three years, guys.

A $200 Xbox One Elite Controller...Why?

Hey Guys, remember that Xbox Elite Controller that came out sometime last year, which costed $150? Well, Microsoft is still selling these customization controllers if you actually forgot about them like I did. As I was browsing the internet, I stumbles upon a Gears of War 4 Xbox Elite Controller. Check it out below.

Image Provided by Gamespot
Whether or not you like the look of the controller is up to you, but it can't be denied that $200 is pricey for a controller. I thought $150 was bad, but I guess if you add an extra $50 then the controller is more edgy or something.

I guess the extra $50 was added because you get some in-game content. Maybe it's also because this is a "signature" controller.

You know how the Xbox One S was announced? That's $300. This controller is pretty close to costing as much as the new console. If you wanted to get both, then it'll cost $500. By the way, I won't be talking about the Xbox One S. I already said before I'm done talking about new consoles.

I swear, controllers are getting more expensive. Personally, I don't care much about these Elite Controllers because I really don't have much use for them.

Resident Evil 7: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I wasn't expecting to see a reveal for the next Resident Evil game this early. It was confirmed that the game was set to be announced, but I had no idea it would be announced yesterday. Before I go on to my thoughts, please check out the trailer for the game first. Do not scroll to the comments, so you could have your own thoughts first.

Seen the trailer? Well, I hope you did because here are my thoughts on the trailer.
This will be released on January 24th, 2017

It should be noted that the trailer is in first-person. This is because the game will be compatible with the PlayStation VR. I should also add that a demo is available to PlayStation Plus members.

I'm a bit disappointed that Resident Evil has joined the bandwagon of first-person video games. However, I will assume that you don't have to play the game in first-person if you don't want to. I would rather play the game in third-person because that's just how I am used to playing Resident Evil.

I'm also disappointed that none of the main Resident Evil characters are not in the trailer. I get if they are trying to introduce a new set of characters to build up a sense of horror or something like that, but I really want to see a continuation of the series from Resident Evil 6. It doesn't even seem like this game is even part of the storyline.

And that's my main gripe with the trailer. It doesn't feel like Resident Evil. Where are the zombies? Where are the characters? Why is it in first-person? I feel like I'm watching a trailer to an Outlast DLC.

I get that Capcom is trying to return Resident Evil back to its horror roots, but Resident Evil needs to have its story.

The trailer itself is good, but it's not good for a Resident Evil game. I know I sound like I'm bitching, but it's just how I feel. I should give this trailer the benefit of the doubt because the game is coming in 2017, so there is plenty of time to see what the game becomes.

New Fallout 4 DLC: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, before I talk about the three new pieces of DLC coming to Fallout 4. Did you know that ThinkGeek has made this Pip-boy replica that is ready to pre-order? It's probably a lot better than the original Pip-boy that was originally released back when the Pip-Boy Edition for Fallout 4 was selling out.
Image Provided by GameSpot
The main difference between the original Pip-Boy and this one by ThinkGeek is that this Pip-Boy has a built-in screen, so you don't have to attach your phone to this Pip-Boy. I should also add that this costs $350. Wow, this thing currently costs more than an Xbox One.

Anyways, let me present both the DLC and my thoughts on them.

The first DLC will be Contraptions Workshop. This will be released on June 21st, 2016. Yes, this is really coming out next week. It hasn't even been a month since Far Harbor came out.
Image Provided by Gameranx
Look, I really don't care about this one since it is customization. If you want to know more about this, please check it out over at Bethesda's main website. I guess what you should know about this is that it comes with elevators! You probably have to build it with materials you don't have at the moment.

The second DLC is Vault-Tech Workshop. This will be releasing sometime in July. Yes, even more customization-centered DLC.
Image Provided by Gameranx
Although I am not a fan of customization, I would say this looks interesting. Imagine being able to create your own vault and conducting "experiments" on your people. Yes, you can actually do experiments with your vault dwellers. I have no idea how many times I am going to say "yes" in this post.

The final DLC for Fallout 4 is Nuka World. It will be released sometime in August. Could this be the best DLC? Maybe. However, anything could happen in the months leading to its release.
Image Provided by Gameranx
Not much is really said about Nuka World other than the fact it will add more quests and more locations to explore.

To sum up what I said, I think the Contraptions DLC is going to be useless to me, so I don't even know if I will be downloading it. Personally, I feel they should have added more story-driven DLC because I think I would spend more time doing quests rather than just cutimzing my settlements or what not.

Should the Skyrim Remaster be free on PC?

Hey Guys, E3 is officially in full swing. There was a number of things that were announced yesterday that I want to talk about, but I don't think I'll be covering everything. I'll only talk about anything I personally find interesting or won't like. I will be making some mentions here and there.

Anyways, let me get back to talking about the Skyrim remaster.

Yes, that's right. There is a Skyrim remaster on the way and will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th.

I do not really have strong opinions on Skyrim. I don't remember much about Skyrim since it has been a while since I played the game. I should also add that I purchased the Legendary Edition of the game that came with all the DLC. All I remember is playing through the main game as well as the DLC quests and just stopped playing because there was not much to do. Yeah, I might have missed a shit ton of things, but I got bored of the game after a while.

Although it may look like I'm rambling, I'm not and you'll know why I went on for so long. I was indifferent to the remaster until I saw this...
Image provided by Twitter

Although I own the game the game on console, I laughed my ass off on this. Literally, Bethesda practically said "Fuck You" to console players. However, we get to have mod support ( ͡° ͜Ê– ͡°)! Let me explain.

Because of mods already available on PC, Skyrim already has been remastered. Arguably, modders have done a better job remastering the game than Bethesda did, but it is my lousy opinion.

Realistically, Skyrim should only be remastered on console because the PC version of the game was the superior version of the game when it released back in 2011. Should the Skyrim remaster be free on console in this case? No, it still takes effort to remaster the game on consoles, so Bethesda should make a profit out of it.

I feel the game is only free for PC players because Bethesda already knows that Skyrim has already been remastered on PC a long time ago.

I'll be posting a couple of more articles later today depending on how much is announced today. I want to talk about the Fallout 4 DLC, Dishonored 2, and maybe Titanfall 2.

Metal Gear Solid Pachinko: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, it's been about eight months since Metal Gear Solid V released. It's easily one of the best games of 2015 and maybe the best Metal Gear Solid game in terms of gameplay. Anyways, fans have doubted the continuation of the series due to Kojima's departure from Konami.

However, this trailer released back on Monday shows a remastered Snake Eater using the Fox Engine, which powers Metal Gear Solid V. The trailer itself isn't bad, but the reception to the trailer is not good at all. Before I go more in depth about the trailer, let me show you a screenshot.

Just admire the beauty....
Seriously, Snake Eater was a great looking game when it was released back in 2004. Just looking at what the Fox Engine is capable of shows us how far we have come in terms of graphical technology. It even shows that Konami is capable of re-re remastering Metal Gear Solid 3.

This brings me to my main beef with the trailer. Metal Gear Solid 3 is being turned into a pinball machine just in case you didn't know what a pachinko was.

What the hell Konami!? You're telling me that you have the budget to make a pinball machine and not a full remaster? I understand that Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and Peace Walker were remastered in HD for both Xbox 360 and PS3 a while ago, but this is using the Fox Engine!

Imagine if Metal Gear Solid 3 was released as a full remaster. It would sell like hotcakes! I know I would be willing to buy it since Metal Gear Solid 3 is a great game.

Instead of actually remastering the game, why not release Chapter 3 for Metal Gear Solid V. I have no idea if it exists anymore, but if it does you might as well bring it back and release it for free to make up for all your wrongs.

Nonetheless, Konami is only going down the drain. If they did decide to make a remaster of Metal Gear Solid 3, then they would actually gain some respect back.
