Call Of Duty Black Ops II: Wave 3 Rewards Announced

Hey Guys, Wave 3 is here for players who pre-ordered Call Of Duty Black Ops 2. This time you are able to choose between three rewards and I think only one of them are actually good.
The first reward is entering a sweepstakes to visit Treyarch and to win a Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 Turtle Beach headsets. Either way, the chances of winning are very low which sucks! Really GameStop? The last is a Quadrotor Xbox Live Prop and on PSN you get the Aftermath theme.

If you want to hear my opinion, these items SUCK! I paid $65 to get into a sweepstakes you can't even win and a dumb prop/theme for your console, but I chose to get the prop because you can only pick ONE of the rewards! The next and final wave will be announced on October 8th(My Birthday!) and I really hope it's good. For crying out loud, if you pre-order Borderlands 2 you get free DLC.

Dead Space 2 Review

Hey Guys, Dead Space 3 is coming next year and I think now is the time for a Dead Space 2 review. But is Dead Space 2 as good as it sounds?
Gameplay: 9
Dead Space 2 is nowhere near as scary as the first game, but it's still gives you some scares. The controls can feel clunky at times, but you can get used to it. You also have to upgrade weapons and purchase supplies, but beware everything happens real time, so kill every enemy you see before going to a store, bench, and even saving! This game is also painfully hard and is one of few games that are hard that are made by EA (the others being Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge). But one thing that you must know that is sick about this game, the death scenes and the graphic content. When you die, the game has to show you a very gory death scene that makes you feel sick, and worst of all, you can't fight back! The health system is simple, you must find health packs in order to refill you're RIG, but these health packs are hard to come by in higher difficulties and you're RIG doesn't regenerate by itself. You also have to scavage ammo because you will somehow be needing more ammo, but you have the abilities to use telekinesis and stasis to use against enemies. Telekinesis can come in handy when you run out of ammo because you can tear the limbs off dead enemies and shoot them to impale other enemies. You are also able to stomp on bodies so you can rip them apart to use limbs or find supplies.
 Graphics: 9
The character models have great details, the physics are amazing and space has never looked this sexy. And the gore is very explicit, so I wouldn't play this game if you get sick by looking at this much gore and blood.

Story: 9
You are Issac Clarke, an engineer who survived the Necromorph invasion on a ship called the USG Ishimura. Another Necromorph invasion has occurred and it's up to you to destroy the Marker. But Issac's dead girlfriend Nichole comes back and haunts him. In summary, the story is very creative and unique.

Multiplayer: 8
I wasn't able to play the online mutliplayer for Dead Space 2 because I didn't have the online pass, so I had to play it at a friend's house. The multiplayer is like Left 4 Dead, it's a Human vs. Necromorph kind of game type. You are able to customize you're character in the multiplayer and you're loadout and for a Necromorph, you are able to improve you're abilities. I thought it was good and I think it's worth a shot.

VGT SCORE: 9.5 OUT OF 10 (EPIC)
The gameplay has it's ups and downs, which is mainly the controls that bring it down. The graphics are stunning. The story is filled with imagination and at the same time, twisted. And the mutliplayer is worth a shot, but should get some more work.

Editorial: Why I'm Afraid for Resident Evil 6

Hey Guys, in two months Capcom's long anticipated game, Resident Evil 6 will be releasing soon. But, I'm afraid that the game, might turn out bad. And here's why,
  • The long load times that were in the beta can really annoy players, so imagine having to sit in you're chair for 5 minutes just to continue the game.
  • The lighting looks terrible in my opinion, during cutscenes, I can barely see the backround.
  • There is more action than there is horror, whatever happened to the old school Resident Evil games where they were scary, you had puzzles to solve, and you had to scavage supplies.
  • The Jake character is very unappealing, I'd choose horror over action any day.
Now, if you buy Resident Evil 6, be sure to start with Leon's campaign, this campaign makes it feel like a older Resident Evil game. I'll probably hate Jake's campaign.

Hey Guys, Battlefield 3: Premium will be a re-release for Battlefield 3. So if you didn't buy Battlefield 3 just yet, you can wait until September to get it since it will come with the membership. I believe for $70 in the US? But it's worth it since you'll be paying more if you buy them separately.
I really hope this helps you guys, if you are wanting to purchase Battlefield Premium.

Editorial: Keep Children From Swearing Online!

Hey Guys, I'm sure you have been playing Halo, Battlefield, Call Of Duty or some other game and then out of nowhere, a kid joins the game. At first he doesn't speak, but then he starts swearing up a storm!

Parents with children heed my advice, don't buy your child a mic. Everytime I go online there are children as young as 7 who swear. Kids tend to swear online or insult other players because they think it's "cool". I try my best not to say anything because I'll just make it worst. Let me list a couple things so you can make sure your child is safe or if you are a victim of a swearing child,

For Parents
  • If you buy your child a mic, make sure to either Monitor him or her, or place a recording device in their room to make sure they don't swear.
  • Don't buy your child an M-rated game, they'll tend to learn swear words from the game then you.
For Players
  • If you catch a swearing child on Xbox Live or PSN, take action! Don't let them continue insulting other players, threaten them by calling Xbox Support if you are an Xbox player, I don't know about PlayStation.
  • Get their parents on the mic so you can tell them that their child is swearing, get creative to do this, but beware of the ''Microsoft Employee" prank, you can get banned for this, but only if you get caught.
  • Mute them
Children swear and insult way to much on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, it's up to you the player or parent to stop children from doing this. But believe me, there are terrible parents who let their children swear.

CryEngine 3 was said that it was able to be supported by the Wii U. It's just that Crytek is making another game for the Wii U which is currently unknown. Crysis 3 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC by February of 2013.

Brink Review

Hey Guys, I read some reviews on Brink and they didn't seem to good. So I checked it out one day, and well urm, read the review. But the best I'm going to say is that this game is a poor man's Team Fortress 2.

Gameplay: 7
Brink utilizes SMART (Smooth Movements Across Random Terrain) which makes parkour easier to control unlike Mirror;s Edge where you have to use a combination of buttons to do some actions. SMART has it's ups and downs, so I have mixed feelings about it. Also, you need to buy you're abilities by using credits that you get from your performance during the game. And did I forget to mention that you barely sprint faster than you walk, in two of three body types. The three body types are Heavy, Medium, and Light. And the controls feel stiff, but it's not your typical first person shooter controls. I also forgot to mention that this game has the most retarded A.I. a game can offer, they don't help for crap and the enemy A.I. are smarter that your friendly A.I. Lastly, I do enjoy that you can customize your own character, but why can't I play as a female character!?

Graphics: 5
The visuals for Brink are very ugly, even Duke Nukem Forever had better graphics. The environment is not detailed and the character models as well. But I do admire the art design of the characters in Brink.

Story: 6
The story is full of creativity but it's just too simple. There are two factions in this game you can play in, Resistance and Security. Either way, you have to beat them to get the Achievement/Trophy. You can play them out of order if you want to. But either way, the story is just weak.

Multiplayer: 6
I just want to know, were the developers out of ideas when they were creating the multiplayer? The multiplayer is just the story. I really didn't enjoy it. Couldn't there be a Team Deathmatch or some other game mode? And I can't even find a multiplayer match anymore! Just stay away from the multiplayer, you may or may not like it.

VGT SCORE: 6.5 OUT OF 10 (DECENT)
The gameplay is less complex then Mirror's Edge (Review will come some time in the future) which is a good thing, but this game has horrible A.I. The story is weak and really won't have you coming back for more. The graphics are just ugly and bad. The multiplayer is just a poor man's Team Fortress 2, as a matter a fact, the whole game is!

Hey Guys, the new DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 on Xbox was supposed to release on July 24th, but it was then delayed.

It was announced today on Twitter that Cold Stream would release on August 3rd, which is Friday! So it's coming sooner that you'd think.
