SEGA reports a decrease in sales - Should we be surprised?

Hey Guys, SEGA recently revealed its financial report and it really doesn't ring out anything positive for this troubled company. I will be going off of the American currency because I'm more familiar with it. Additionally, read more as to what I think is the reason why SEGA's sales are falling.
This is part of the reason why SEGA is failing...
SEGA reports a 42% decrease in net sales, operating losses at $76 million, and net losses at $63.8 million. How much money did make? $426 million.

Representatives at SEGA claim the economy and the low demand for game software, amusement centers, and amusement machines in Japan have been the cause as to why their sales are down so significantly.

Okay, now here's what I think. Activision pulled off a similar excuse back in 2013 when Call of Duty: Ghosts released. Remember when they were confident that Ghosts would dominate Grand Theft Auto V in sales? Yeah, that never happened.

The reason why Ghosts did not sell as well as Black Ops II was because people are just getting tired of Call of Duty. What does SEGA have to offer? Well, people are getting tired of Sonic because most new Sonic games that release end up sucking on a different level.

People are just losing trust in SEGA just as much as they are in Activision. SEGA's biggest mascot is Sonic and they pretty much ruined the franchise.

Unfortunately, it's a franchise that just needs to die or needs a long break. It's been a while since a good Sonic game even came out. Until SEGA comes out with a game that can save them, then it looks like they are once inch deeper in their graves.

ZombiU coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Hey Guys, remember ZombiU? It was that one Wii U exclusive game that featured zombies and permanent deaths. You forgot about too? Actually, I almost did since it's been almost 3 years since the game released. However, Ubisoft has announced that Zombi is coming out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Image provided by The Games Cabin

The game will release on August 18, 2015 and is a digital-only game. Yes, the game has been optimized to work on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Remember, the game actually focused the use on the Wii U gamepad, so it's kind of a miracle that they optimized the game to work without it.

I honestly don't expect too much out of this game. Reviews are pretty much all over the place for this game whether it be critics criticizing the controls or the combat. Additionally, the game might not hold up today because there's still a game called State of Decay that has a similar concept.

At the time of its release, ZombiU was actually unique. Not everyone has seen permanent deaths in a while, so it provided a challenge. If the price was $15 or less, then maybe it would be worth a buy because the game is still pretty old.

Mafia III Confirmed!

Hey Guys, if you were a fan of Mafia II and were disappointed by the game's ending then you're in for some good news. Mafia III was confirmed today, but it won't be revealed until August 5th. Check out the image below.
Image Provided by IGN

More news about the game will be revealed at Gamescom through a trailer. It's currently unknown what the story will be about or what platforms that game will be available on.

I honestly can predict that this game might be a current-gen exclusive because we are getting at a time where developers are going to make current-gen exclusive games to force people to upgrade their consoles.

Xbox Live: Free Games for August 2015

Hey Guys, Major Nelson has officially announced on his blog the free games that Xbox Live users will be getting on both Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Image Provided by Major Nelson's blog

Metal Gear Sold V: Ground Zeroes will be free all month long on Xbox One and then How to Survive: Storm Warning will be free starting on August 16th and ending September 15th.

I never got the chance to play either of those games. I never heard of How To Survive: Storm Warning Edition. I heard about How to Survive, but I read some of the review and most said this game was either bad or average. However, I really can't argue with free. Additionally, I'm excited that I'm going to get a taste of Metal Gear Solid since the Phantom Pain is releasing on September 1st.

On Xbox 360, Metro 2033 will be free starting on August 1st and ending on August 15th. It will then be replaced by its sequel Metro: Last Light.

I have to say that I'm actually surprised. Xbox 360 has the best games of the month since the Metro games are actually much longer in terms of content. I'm not sure if I will be downloading them because I already have Metro Redux. However, both games are great and are worth the free download if you haven't already played them.

Seriously though, each game was worth $20. Microsoft is going back on its policy for providing only games that are $20 or less. I would have loved if they made State of Decay free on Xbox One instead of How to Survive.

A 2TB PS4

Hey Guys, I was browsing through the GameStop website to check out the deals and other stuff like that. While I was browsing, I happen to come across this,
You can check out this out on the GameStop website here

When I fist saw the price, I really hoped it was a place holder or something like that, but this is the legit price. Let me get this straight. Gamestop wants $479.99 for a pre-owned console with a 2TB hard drive included?

I actually have no problem with the pricing with the hard drive because on Amazon most of the 2TB hard drives go for almost $100. However, I do actually have a problem with the pre-owned console.

Why can't GameStop sell a brand new PlayStation 4 and add the hard drive as a bonus? I'm pretty sure they would have to pay extra due to branding issues and other legal issues like that, but they have no problem with the pre-owned console. At the same time, the price is actually cheaper because the console is pre-owned.

However, just think about this for a minute. If you were to buy a brand new car, would you want someone who test drove it  to put so much mileage into the meter of the "new car"? I'm pretty sure there's a flaw in this scenario, but think about what I'm trying to say. That's why we have hypothetical situations.

Why I'm losing interest in Assassin's Creed

Hey Guys, I've wanted to talk about this for some time. Before I get labeled a hater or something like that, I'm going to admit that Assassin's Creed is a great franchise! I loved Assassin's Creed II. It was the game I first started off with and it will always have a special place in my heart. However, I was really disappointed in the franchise once Assassin's Creed: Revelations came out. Please, hear me out before you start judging.

After I played Assassin's Creed: Revelations, I was upset about how disappointing the game was and the fact that it was the last game Ezio was going to be in. I was skeptical about the release of Assassin's Creed III when that was first announced. When the game was released, critics praised it like it was the second coming of Jesus. However, it was a totally different story when I played it. The game just didn't feel right. I wasn't traveling over rooftops, I wasn't getting any dark humor, nor did I get a likable character!

The game added new things to the franchise such as hunting and naval combat. These were really cool additions to the game, but so many critics probably gave this game such a high score for these mechanics. However, this was the last game in the franchise where the future story line was actually interesting. This game doesn't deserve anything above an 8 when you really look back at things. Assassin's Creed III wasn't as good as many critics claim it to be, but it wasn't a bad game either.

Don't even get me started on Assassin's Creed IV. I got the game as a Christmas gift back in 2013. I didn't play the game until probably a couple of days after Christmas. After I first played it, I only put in maybe about 5 hours worth of gameplay into it and I just stopped playing it. I didn't play the game again until I got the game as part of the Assassin's Creed Xbox One bundle.

Literally, I beat the game after a year I got it and I played it on a current-gen console. I had to force myself to play through Assassin's Creed IV. Much like Assassin's Creed III, critics have claimed that this is the best game in the series since Assassin's Creed II. Seriously, people have praised this game like crazy. The game is huge and there is so much to do, but it still doesn't mask the many flaws that this game has. The story is the game is average at best and the future story is just so boring!

I think most people were just so impressed by the visuals and gameplay that they just overlooked the story. Don't even get me started on the multiplayer. I never was a fan of the multiplayer aspect of the franchise when it first released in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Assassin's Creed: Unity is the nail in the coffin for the franchise. However, the nail isn't completely in the coffin. The tip is just barely in the coffin. Why do I say this? Assassin's Creed: Syndicate might just be what hammers the nail into this beloved franchise.

People have got the chance to play it and Ubisoft has confirmed that they make sure to put the full game in their presentations and the like. It was something they learned from Watch Dogs. I still have faith in this franchise, but I'm still just losing interest in the game.

Maybe Syndicate is the game that will finally save the franchise. It might even be Game of the Year quality material. On the other hand, it might be the one of the biggest disappointing games of the year because of glitches and bugs.

Please, if Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is a disaster, I will officially be done with this franchise. Only if Ubisoft didn't switch to annual releases then this franchise wouldn't have these problems.

Series A Heist now has Double RP and double $GTA

Hey Guys, The Prison Break and the Humane Labs Raid were the previous heists to feature both double rp and double GTA$, so Series A is the next heist to feature this event.
Image provided by the Rockstar Newswire

If you didn't already see it, this event will last from July 7th to August 2nd. I will first cover everything this heist has to offer then I will give you my thoughts on this.

Be sure to actually aim to complete the elite challenges for the heist finale for Series A which are,
  • Complete under 6:30
  • Kill 75 enemies
  • Nobody gets Wasted
As a way to help out new GTA Online players, Rockstar has increased the amount of RP gained for certain activities.

  • Gang Attacks
  • Mission: Out of Harmony
  • Missions: Deliver a Package Bonus
  • Deathmatch: All Kills
  • Deathmatch: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place finishes
  • Deathmatch: 3, 6 and 10 Kills
  • Deathmatch: Power Player, Kill When Close to Death
  • Vehicle Deathmatch: Kill Power Player
  • Survival: Wave Reached
  • Capture: RP Rewards for Collecting Mission Package

Rockstar will also be announcing price drops on gear and vehicles throughout the week and will announce them on their social media sites.

Now, I will give you my thoughts on this event. You get paid a lot less for setups for Series A. On hard, you will get GTA$38,500. I don't even want to think how much you'll get on Normal or Easy. Seriously, most of us will be mad about this since we were spoiled by the crazy amount of money we earned from the Humane Labs Raid. I don't know why Rockstar is going backwards on this.

However, I'm positive that you'll get a ton of cash on the finale. I haven't got the chance since most people aren't even aware that the Humane Labs raid event already ended.

The 6 things that ruin GTA Heists

Hey Guys, I've been forcing myself from trying to write this article. Why? Well, I wanted to give GTA Heists some time before I can complain about them. However, it's been 4 months since the Heists update first released and really some problems have not been solved. I will be focusing on player issues and technical issues. I am not ranking them as a Top 6 if you didn't already know.

6. Jerk Hosts
These are the types of host who start up a Heist but leave before even starting it. It gets especially aggravating if 4 players are already available to play. However, hosts who try to be greedy when it comes to Heists Finales are the most aggravating. Seriously, make the pay equal or at least make the pay tolerable. If you're going to be a host, don't host a heist if you're not going to go through with it or if you're going to be money hungry.

5. Low Level Players
I heard this one countless times. However, this is just too true! Every time I see someone below level 100 join a Heist mission, I get a bit paranoid. When you're above level 100, you are actually much harder to kill than players who are not. Additionally, you have access to much better weapons. Seriously, either practice some Heist missions or level up faster. Don't join especially if it's your first time playing a particular mission. I sympathized with players who have to go through with that one guy who doesn't know what he's doing.

4. Players who leave mid-game or early
Jesus, I just want to throw my controller at these guys who do this. Let's say that you are about to start up a Heist mission. You're on the clothing selection screen and then someone just decides to leave at the last minute. You'd be much angrier if you were waiting for a mission to pop-up previously for maybe 15 minutes or something like that. Let's say that you were doing great on a setup mission. You guys are about to finish the mission until someone dies and then they just leave the game. You're mad that they died at a wrong time, but you're more mad about the fact that they just left. Don't play a Heist mission if you're just going to leave!

3. Players who die near the end of a mission
Seriously? How do you even mess up at the end of a mission? The Humane Labs Raid and Prison Break have to be the most prominent mission in which people always end up dying near the end. There's always going to be that one idiot who runs into the blade of a chopper or just ends up hitting a rock or something like that. The Prison Break especially gets annoying in the sense that you have to start the Heist all over again once someone screws up! Once you are at the end of a mission, take it slow and don't make any stupid decisions that will make your team members hate you.

2. Joining a full lobby
Rockstar, you guys have to do something about this. I am tired of having to receive an invite and then joining it only to have to be kicked due to the fact that the game is already full. What even more annoying about this is that when I leave that lobby I get tossed into a loading screen! It gets even more agitating if this continues over and over again! Why not show like the amount of players in the invite screen or something like that before we can join a Heist. Much like going on call?

1. Loading Screens
Something has to be done about this! If you play nothing but Heists on GTA Online, you're going to be spending 97% on loading screens! As a matter of fact, GTA Online as whole is nothing but loading screens! Much of the fun and entertainment from this game is just sucked away by these loading screens. I totally get it if someone has bad connection and the fact on how huge this game is. However, my connection is actually pretty good, but the loading screens are still way too long! I don't want to have to spend a majority of my time having to just sit down and watch my TV screen for 15 minutes trying to play a video game. I have things to do, places to be, and people to see!
Just looking at this picture makes me sick...

Don't get me wrong, I love going on GTA Online. It's probably one of my favorite games to play online in my down time, but there is no denying how many problems there are if you want to play Heists with other people. However, I did bring up issues that pertain to playing with randoms. It's pretty much required that you play with friends if you want to just breeze through Heist missions.

Should children be allowed to play M-rated games online?

Hey Guys, I'm positive this is a topic that really hasn't been touched upon to a great extent. However, it's the subject that is touched upon by older gamers on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
The online service where little kids are most likely to be found...

Usually, I don't really care if kids are playing M-rated games offline and are just playing it for the story mode or something like that. Games such as Grand Theft Auto V or The Last of Us shouldn't even be touched by kids due to their mature content. Actually, nobody under the age of 16 should have any business with Grand Theft Auto. However, it's a totally different ball game once it comes to online.

I am totally aware of the parental controls that the Xbox has. However, not many parents use it or have no clue about it. As a matter of fact, not many parents know much about the online gaming experience.

Kids are incredibly easy to troll. Additionally, they are easy targets to get free money from. Trust me, there is always going to be that one annoying kid who will be trying to buy hacks from someone. However, this is the part where kids pretty much become hack dealers. I don't really feel bad if they get scammed out of their money, but I do feel bad for the parents who have no clue about it.

All lot of these annoying kids are on first person shooter games such as Call of Duty. The older COD games are just a breeding ground of hackers and cheaters. A majority of them are kids.

This is just the hacking portion. Let me begin on the potty mouth kids. If I had a dollar for every time that I've been called a "faggot" or told to "Shut up" by a little kid, I'd probably be richer than Bill Gates. Adults do it as well, but where do the kids learn it from?

Kids are easy to be impressed. They'll just curse up a storm when their parents aren't around and think they are big and bad. Don't even get me started on the kids who turn on their mics and say "Hello? Does anyone have a mic?". Seriously, stop! That goes for both adults and kids! That just gets annoying over time and people get tired of having to hear it.

Listen parents, the internet is full of bad things and online gaming is no exception. M-rated games are meant for people over the age 17 to play! If you buy them these games, you have to think about what the consequences will be. If they play these games online, you can pretty much guaranteed they will be bullied, may end up cheating, get trolled, or even harass other players.

If they are going to play M-rated games online, DON'T BUT THEM A MIC. Only buy them a mic if they are going to play with their friends that they know in real life and have control over who they can talk to online. I'm pretty sure nobody is going to take me seriously, but I at least said something about this issue.

You can romance companions in Fallout 4

Hey Guys, some more news came from QuakeCon 2015 about Fallout 4. Much like most RPGs, you can romance the companions that you have in the game.
Image Provided by GameSpot

There is a total of 12 companions that are in the game, but it's unknown how many you can have at a time. You can even romance any of them regardless of gender.

However, Bethesda recently announced that you can only romance human companions only. I'm positive nobody would want to romance an animal or ghoul. Sorry for anyone who wanted to romance a Deathclaw or something like that.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 Now Available

Hey Guys, looks like the fourth installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise has finally been released much earlier then expected.
You can purchase the game on Steam

As of today, the game is only available on Steam. The game originally was supposed to release on October 31st, but the game was then pushed back to August 8th. However, the game came out much earlier then expected.

I never played the game before as I just go on YouTube and watch other people play it. This is supposed to be the final game in the series, so hopefully every question in the game can finally be answered.

Fallout Anthology coming to PC and it's amazing!

Hey Guys, if you thought the Pip-Boy Edition for Fallout 4 was awesome then you'll be in for a treat with this bundle.
Image provided by Polygon

This has to be one of the best video game bundles I have ever seen. Literally, this comes with pretty much ever game in the franchise but Fallout 4. The only real downside to this bundle is the fact that this is just available to PC users.

This bundle will be available on September 29th in the US, October 1st in Australia, and October 2nd in Europe. You ready to hear the price? Well, be prepared to get a heart attack. This bundle is only $50.

You get 5 games that are filled with over hundreds of hours worth of gameplay for just $50. They all come in this replica mini-nuke too! If you have not played Fallout before, there is pretty much no reason for you not to buy this. Trust me, this bundle is worth the price tag and is just a steal at this price.

The only reasons why you wouldn't get it are you either don't play on PC or already have most/all the games. Otherwise, you need to get this if you never played Fallout or are a diehard Fallout fan. Great job, Bethesda! You guys did it again!

This is Xbox One's most wanted backward compatible game....

Hey Guys, I am not trolling at all. You saw the image correctly. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the most requested Xbox 360 game to be backwards compatible for the Xbox One.
It was actually a fun game...
According to Xbox Feedback Data, Black Ops 2 received over 77,000 votes! Red Dead Redemption received only 75,000.

The funny thing about this is the fact that so many people just talk so much garbage about the Call of Duty franchise, yet this many people want Black Ops 2 to be backwards compatible. However, this game was really fun!

I spent a huge chunk of my time playing this game! I remember when I first played the game back in 2012 and just couldn't put it down. It was the fastest-selling game of all time back in 2012 before it was beaten by Grand Theft Auto V.

I guess this is pretty cool. I don't play this game that much due to the fact that I already hit Prestige Master and I don't feel like resetting my stats.

Rise of the Tomb Raider coming to PS4 and PC

Hey Guys, it looks like Square Enix has finally announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be arriving on PC in "early 2016" while the PS4 version will be arriving in "Holiday 2016".
I still have more to say....
I really shouldn't be complaining since I am an Xbox users, but I will because it's still not fair! Seriously, I wrote a whole article as to how timed exclusivity is hurting the video game industry. However, this has to be the worst offense because it's lasting a whole year! Well, at least it's lasting a whole year for PS4.

If this it literally going to last a year for PlayStation users, this game has to be marked down dramatically if it wants to see a profit. Instead of selling it at $59.99, make it around $39,99! Nobody wanted to pay full price for a year-old game! Unless the game is content-fueled like Grand Theft Auto V.

By the way, there is no word for a PlayStation 3 version of the game being released either. If the game can be released on Xbox 360, then why not on PlayStation 3? People still do play on last-gen consoles.

The Minnesotaburns Incident

Hey Guys, I know that I'm kind of late on this topic since it's probably been more than 9 months since Minnesotaburns quit YouTube. Yes, Minnesotaburns has quit YouTube for those of you who didn't know by now or were unclear as to what happened to him.
Image Provided by GSEG

If you're like me, you have been around since John Trollsen had been trolling little kids on Xbox Live when he had about 40,000 subscribers. That was back in 2012! 2012 has to be the best year for YouTube, but this was also the year of the rise of Trollarch.

I loved his videos! He was just absolutely brilliant at what he did especially when he started on Hate Mail. He really was a guy who wanted to have hackers and cheaters punished for what they do, but of course he was punished instead.

He has been on a long battle with Xbox Live support. They just hated Mr. Trollsen for what he did. However, I guess they don't have to worry about him anymore.

A video was leaked about Burnsy cussing out a kid over Skype. However, most people don't understand the background information about the video. Burnsy explained in his "Swatting: My Story" that this kid leaked his personal information and called the police to his parent's home.

The kid's friend apparently was the one who called in the police. However, I really don't believe most of what this kid said, but he did admit that he was the one who leaked Burnsy's information. You can check out the video here.

Since the video has been released, it has received mixed opinions. However, there was enough backlash that made Minnesotaburns quit.

Honestly, I totally get why Burnsy would react the way he did. How would you feel if some person swatted your house and released your information? I positive you would be pissed. However, Burnsy overdid it. He didn't have to say such violent threats to the kid or even call him names.

He sold his channel recently and now it's called "Minnesotapranks". You won't believe how many dislike each video gets because of what it used to be. The subscriber count is just going down for this channel and that just sucks. Burnsy is now officially a sellout.

With the amount of people who have been swatted on YouTube, it does make people angry that Minnesotaburns quit. His channel is pretty much dead, but his videos are still up for people to enjoy. Most people are just going to go on the channel to hit the dislike button or unsubscribe.

I unsubscribed a long time ago because it was a gaming channel. I don't want these prank videos that are on an ex-gaming channel! However, I guess there is nothing else that could happen.

At this point in time, it's too late for Burnsy to come back. It's finally the end of Minnesotaburns. Most of his fans have turned against him and it's pretty much for the right reason. He didn't have to leave YouTube, but I positive he's still getting paid for these videos that aren't even his.

My Thoughts on Goku vs. Superman 2

Hey Guys, I believe it's been about 2 days or so since the release of the rematch between  Goku and Superman and a lot of people are still talking about it. If you have not seen this video yet, please do not read this article. Check out both the original and second video to really get what I'm saying.
Image provided by Comic Vine
For those of you who have seen the first video, Goku actually seemed like he had the upper hand in winning against Superman, However, when they accidentally blew up the Earth Goku lost because he couldn't withstand the impact that destroyed the Earth.

You guys have to understand that Superman can withstand the explosion of over 50 supernovas or so. Additionally, no matter how many times that Goku goes Super Saiyan he just couldn't be as strong as Superman!

Anyways, Goku gained new powers which include Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. This only sparked the debate if Goku could win against Superman with these new forms.

I think the problem here is that people just stopped watching the video when Goku got his brain fried by Superman and decided to post hate comments as to why Goku would win. Seriosuly, watch the rest of the video! The fight was much shorter for a reason! They literally analyzed why it's just impossible for Goku to win against Superman!

It's 100% true that Superman is just on another level. He's is literally OP. The guys at Death Battle did a good job with the reasoning for the fact that Goku is a man with limits while Superman has no limits to begin with!

They even explained in the video that they put both characters at their maximum potential, so there was absolutely no point in bringing up something random in their timelines to show why they would lose.

Superman is just limitless! Don't even get me started on Superman Prime! For those of you who argue that Superman Prime isn't canon, you're 100% wrong. It would take a long time for Goku to even understand how to defeat Superman and even if he did Goku would lose before he even has a chance!

I love Goku! I was a DBZ fan when I was a kid. However, I also equally love Superman since he is my favorite super hero! DBZ fanboys need to understand that Goku just can't win against Superman! I'm tired of seeing people trying to find holes and arguments to show that Superman can't win. Just stop! Superman is literally not meant to lose!

The Human Labs Raid now has 2x GTA $ and RP

Hey Guys, Rockstar has decided to be awesome once again with its heists! Yesterday was the last day of the 2x money and RP for the Prison Break Heist, but now here's another batch of it for The Human Labs Raid!
Image Provided by the Rockstar Newswire

Yes, this event will last all week! Also, Rockstar has announced it will be ramping up the RP on select GTA Online activities such as,

  • Plane Takedown
  • Flight School
  • Destroy Vehicle Targets
  • Complete a Gang Attack
  • Deliver an Export Vehicle to Simeon
  • Parachuting
  • Deathmatch: Kill 2 Enemies Within 10 seconds, Kill an Enemy Within First 30 seconds
  • Vehicle Deathmatch: Kill 2 Enemies Within 10 seconds of Each Other, Kill an Enemy Within First 60 seconds, Get a Killstreak, Get First Kill

Seriously though, the pay for the setups are just insane! I believe that the pay on hard is around GTA$52,000! If you play it on normal, you get paid around GTA$41,800! Even if you play it on normal, you're still getting paid a lot more than any Prison Break setup on normal as well.

There is also mention that there also may be double $GTA for Adversary mode, but no word on that yet. Make sure to just spam these setups because the pay is just amazing!

I got my rebate in GTA Online

Hey Guys, I was checking my e-mail about a couple of minutes ago and found out I received an e-mail from the Social Club. Here, check it out,
Yeah, I use Yahoo Mail as my primary E-mail account. Don't judge me.

I'm not showing this to brag at all. I am using this to show to other people what kind of money to expect from this 25% rebate. $550,000 is not that bad. However, this was when I purchased that Progen T20, so you might make a lot lot less if you didn't buy this car.

About the Progen T20, don't buy it. I honestly am not a fan of it. I would rather you guys just buy the Osiris instead.  It just feels too stiff to drive around in the Progen T20 when compared to the Osiris. However, I guess it really depends on the driver.

What happened to split screen co-op?

Hey Guys, this was a topic that I kind of touched upon from my last post. However, I now believe this was a good time to really go more into it.
Image provided by Cupegraf Wallpapers
Before online gaming was a thing, most of grew up playing with a friend, sibling, or family member through split screen. I was a big Nintendo kid when I was around six, so most of the games I grew up with were Mario games. Mario Party was a pretty bid deal at the time as well because it was fun when you're able to sit down with friends and just play with them on the same screen!

Don't even get me started on the Smash Bros. series either. Super Smash Bros is still really popular and the 8-players that can be on screen is still awesome! A lot of good childhood memories came from playing Super Smash Bros. Even though I'm older, the game is still really fun to play.

Exactly, why do I have a Left 4 Dead image? Well, all of grew out of Nintendo and decided to move up to the world of Microsoft and Sony. Left 4 Dead is considered a pinnacle of co-op play. I didn't have Xbox Live at the time, so I had to play it on split screen. Despite having no online for myself, I still had fun with it because I was having a bond with whoever I was playing with.

Remember Resident Evil 5? I remember how hyped that game was because it was the first time that co-op would be introduced to the tables. Sure most Resident Evil fans were angered that the franchise was turning to an action game, but we didn't care because the co-op was just enjoyable. This game is best experienced in split screen to be totally honest. Jesus, I still had fun with Resident Evil 6 because it still had an enjoyable split screen experience.

However, split screen co-op began dying out in order to bring performance to games. Borderlands: The Handsome collection is the only "new" game so far that has 60fps yet allows 4-player split screen even if it downgrades its frame rate. There were other games that do it too, but I can't think of any that come off the top of my head besides Call of Duty.

It's cool to have online co-op, so that way a person can get the full experience of their game. However, think about people who have their friends over and want to play some video games! Split screen is slowly dying out due to online co-op and the need to improve game performance.

I can go on forever with the list of games that do co-op or split screen right, but the list can on for a while. I just find it sad that a lot of new games don't have split screen anymore. Please, we need to keep split screen alive.

What is Rocket League?

Hey Guys, I haven't seen so many people going crazy over a game since Fallout 4. Rocket League is game that blends soccer and cars together to create this ultimate multiplayer experience. It really is the most simplistic idea I've ever seen, but it actually works!
Image provided by Kotaku

The game has 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 multiplayer matches. Additionally, the game does have single player, but the game is best experienced with other players. I forgot to mention that this does the smart move by including splitscreen multiplayer! Wow, literally almost no AAA game titles include splitscreen anymore. Even Halo 5 will not have splitscreen despite being in previous Halo titles.

This game is also cross platform play! The game is only available on PS4 and PC, which means that people on these consoles can play with each other. It really does suck that Xbox One users don't get to experience this game, but I do see the game releasing later on the console.

The only thing bad that is said about the game is its servers, but this is only happening because there is so many people playing the game. As of July 17th, the game has been downloaded two million times and has over 155,000 concurrent players online! I'm not really surprised about this because no much else is going on in July and this game is trending.

This has to be the most unexpected game to release this year. The game is also free for PS + users, so there is no reason for you not to download this game! The game is $20 on Steam, but it seems that it's worth the money.

Please, go out and buy Far Cry 4

Hey Guys, I wanted to say this for a while but never really got a chance to. Anyways, GameStop is currently selling Far Cry 4 across every platform for only $19.99.
This is a snapshot I took. You can see the prices for yourself here.
Keep in mind, these prices will change
I feel ashamed that I didn't get a chance to review Far Cry 4, but I will tell you to stop what you're doing right now and go buy it. Trust me, this game was worth the $60 price tag, so at $20 it's pretty much a steal.

Make sure to also get this game on either current-gen consoles or PC. The game still runs well on last-gen consoles, but it's a better option to get it on newer hardware because this game is just beautiful. This game will take you anywhere from 25-30 hours to complete.

If you haven't played Far Cry 3, then it's still a good idea to jump into Far Cry 4 because you don't need to play Far Cry 3 to get the story. If you have played Far Cry 3, there is a good chance you already have this game.

The Flock will be taken down once every player dies

Hey Guys, I never heard of this game before, but it's going viral after it's been revealed that the game will only be available as long as players are still alive. I thought this was a joke, but the developer was serious.
You can check out the game's official website here.
Players will take control of creatures from the flock and must fight each other to get this artifact that will turn them into a human. If you ever played a game of Griftball in Halo, then it's you should know it's a similar concept.

It's not known yet if the game does have permanent deaths or not. However, it been announced that the amount of lives that players have will be displayed in the menus, website, and subreddit. Essentially, there is a countdown to zero to let players know when the game is over with.

I actually think this was a creative marketing move! I never seen anything like this before happen in a video game. I think the whole idea that once the population hits zero then the game is gone is pretty cool. That means more people are likely to play it because they would never get a chance to since it's essentially available for a limited time. At the same time, this game better be $5 or less because I doubt anybody would pay more than $20 for this game if it's available for such a short time.

The game will be released on Windows, Linux, and OS X. Unfortunately, console players such as myself will not get a chance to experience this game. It's set to be released sometime in Q3 2015.

Insanely cheap Afterglow Xbox One Headsets

Hey Guys, I wanted to help you guys who own an Xbox One and are looking into investing some headsets without having to spend too much money in the process. I have not used these headsets before, but I currently own Afterglow headsets and I can guarantee they are a bang for your buck.

Afterglow AG7
You can purchase these at Amazon

  • Only $99.99!
  • It's also wireless. All you need to do is plug in the USB transmitter into your Xbox One console and you're good to go.
  • 16 hours of battery life.
  • Range of up to 40ft.
  • Noise-cancelling headphones
  • Flexible microphone
  • Adjustable for most size heads.
  • Comfortable over the ear cups
  • Only comes in Green

Afterglow Karga
You can also purchase these at Amazon
  • Both the Karga and AG7 pretty much do the same thing, but the Karga is wired and is powered by your controller. This means that your controller's battery life will drain quicker.
  • This one comes in two colors which are Green and Blue. As of 7/16/15, the Blue version is cheaper at just $91.36 while the Green version is $99.99.

If you're not a big fan of Afterglows, then this article was not very helpful, but these headsets are very good for the price. I personally would go with the AG7 just because it's wireless and looks a lot more comfortable.

Fallout Shelter earns $5.1 Million in its first two weeks of Release

Hey Guys, I have to say that I am impressed about this. A lot of people tend to complain about these free-to-play games having microtransactions in them, but this has to be a game where it seems people have no problem spending money on.
Image provided by Touch Arcade
Honestly, I never played the game before because I don't own any Apple products to play it own. Yes, I am not an Apple fan. Android users will get a chance to play this by next month, so I'm expecting to see revenue for this game to rise.

I'm being serious. Apple users spent over $5 million dollars in this game, so imagine how much money this game would make once Android users can make.

People are really excited for Fallout 4! Maybe I'll give this game a try, but it really doesn't catch my attention. I tried getting back into Fallout: New Vegas to hold me off until Fallout 4 releases, but the more I play Fallout the more likely I am to get tired of it.

Was Titanfall really that disappointing?

Hey Guys, one question I had on my mind recently had to pertain to Titanfall. Remember that game? I remember when there was this hype train built around it. I remember that this game was labeled as the "Call of Duty killer"! Once the game came out, it received such high critical praise! However, this was one of those games where critics and gamers had different viewpoints on the game.
Image provided by the Xbox Store

Was Titanfall disappointing? Honestly, no it wasn't. I swear that I'm tired of seeing all these people jumping on the bandwagon that this game was disappointing much like people saying Call of Duty: Ghosts is the worst game in the Call of Duty series.

However, I totally understand why people would say that Titanfall is disappointing. There pretty much is no story and is just easily forgettable, but it has more of a story than Destiny ever could. Yes, I went there. The multiplayer can get boring after a while and the prestige-like mode doesn't really add much to its replay value. At the time of its release, there wasn't even any private matches available. Additionally, hackers roamed freely around with no punishment.

What I really think was the problem was the fact that this game was on Xbox and PC only. Maybe people would change their viewpoints if the game was available on PlayStation. Good new is that Titanfall 2 will in fact come to PlayStation consoles.

However, most of these problems have pretty much been resolved! Respawn made the season pass to this for free which pretty much means free DLC, so there's just more of a reason to play this game. Additionally, you can get this game dirt cheap! There also is no denying that the gameplay still holds up and is very enjoyable. Let alone the fact that private matches have been in the game for a while now.

Is the game disappointing? No! Was it disappointing when it first released? Pretty much. Seriously, stop jumping onto the bandwagon people. This has to be one of few games of today that actually released free DLC. Sure it didn't release DLC free when it came out, but now they are! I totally get if you don't like the game, but now there is no reason to call it disappointing! Put it this way. Bungie is still making people pay for Destiny's DLC.

Should there be another Duke Nukem game?

Hey Guys, Gearbox has recently announced that they have done some concept development for a new Duke Nukem game. Currently, they are looking for a developer to team up with in order to make this game happen.
Image provided by GamingBolt
You all remember Duke Nukem Forever? Everybody has to know what this game is whether you heard it was awful or it took 15 years for this game to release. When the game did first release, so many fans and critics just bombarded this game with negativity.

If you play this game today, it surprisingly is one of those things where it's so bad it's good. Sure the game may have clunky controls and the humor may be stale, but the game still feels okay. Sure it's not perfect, but it doesn't deserve to be called a horrible game.

However, should there really be another game? Well, that will actually depend on a lot of factors. I believe that this next game will have to focus more on the gameplay rather than the humor. Most of the criticism for Duke Nukem Forever came from the gameplay, so if Gearbox and whoever they work with put more work on the gameplay they can then focus on the humor aspect of the game.

Please, don't add multiplayer to the game either. Have you even played the multiplayer in Duke Nukem Forever? I haven't even picked up the game in over two years or so! I'm positive that nobody is playing that game online because it gets boring really quickly. If multiplayer is going to get added, then it needs to have something interesting and not be a Call of Duty clone.

I'm not much of a graphics person, but please don't make this game look like an early Xbox 360/PS3 game! If the game is physically attractive to look at or at least flashy, then more people will buy it. How do you think Advanced Warfare sold on next-gen?

Make sure the story is also strong or at least tolerable! It doesn't have to be The Last of Us or BioShock Infinite, but at least put some heart into the story. Nobody wants to buy a $60 game and be forced to play through an uninspired story.

As we grow older, we realize that Duke Nukem Forever was not as bad as originally thought. Some of the jokes in the game are actually pretty funny. You can get it for a pretty cheap price as well! It is worth buying nowadays. If you haven't played it, I recommend that you do because this game can still be entertaining. Come on, if people can sit through Sharknado then people can play through Duke Nukem Forever.

Prototype Biohazard Bundle available now on Xbox One and PS4

Hey Guys, it seems that Xbox Achievements was correct about the release of this bundle. Best of all, this bundle is in fact now available on both consoles.
Image provided by Analog Addiction.

The first thing that caught my eye was the price. Honestly, I'm not sure why it's going for $70AUD and $50USD, but I still believe that it should be lowered because both of these games are pretty old now.

This bundle comes with Prototype and Prototype 2 as well as all their DLC. The visuals were improved as well as the framerate for both games. I'm still confued as to why these games were remastered. Has anybody even been talking about this game? Don't get me wrong. I loved the first one, but I don't believe both games did well enough to warrant a remaster

Be sure to stick around to see the list of Deals with Gold.

Kojima's name removed from The Phantom Pain's Box Art

Hey Guys, with Kojima Productions officially disbanded means that Konami has pretty much disowned anything having to do with Hideo Kojima. Want some proof? Konami has been reported to tell interviewers not to even mention Kojima's name as if he's some kind of evil being. Want even further proof? They removed his name from his own game. Take a look,
Image provided by IGN. I added in the circles to highlight where Kojima's name and his studio used to be

I actually find this really funny to say the least. Konami is trying really hard to get rid of any trace of Kojima. They even got rid Kojima Productions from their own website. This is just a childish move from such a good company.

Well, Konami used to be good company, but now that they officially got rid of Kojima they are pretty much over with. They are still going through and adding microtransactions into the game. What is wrong with you Konami? Once you transition into the mobile gaming market, you are pretty much over with. Nobody including myself is going to want to purchase games from a company that booted one of the greatest video game designers to ever live and canceled the highly anticipated Silent Hills.

I'm sorry Konami. However, you're just going to get knocked out of the market.

What's Next for Nintendo?

Hey Guys, most of us are still upset over the untimely death of Satoru Iwata. However, most of us are also wondering what is next for Nintendo. This is a question that really is appropriate to ask at this time because Nintendo has lost a legend.

Honestly, Nintendo is at a point in time where on wrong move will end the company. Nintendo has been making some poor decisions lately, but most people probably felt bad for bashing on Nintendo after the death of Iwata. I personally didn't agree with every decision either, but there is no denying the impact he made. However, the choices he made have left Nintendo in an awkward position on what they would do next.

Nintendo has been contemplating on transitioning into the mobile gaming market. This is still pretty controversial because most people are afraid that Nintendo would include microtransactions. Iwata was totally against the idea of having to pay for DLC. This is why Nintendo was well-known for having such great games because they always put the time and effort into their games as well as the fact that their games are complete.

If Nintendo entered the realm of microtransactions and DLC, then it really will be the end of Nintendo. However, there is still some hope for Nintendo.

There has been a lot of people asking why Shigeru Miyamoto isn't becoming CEO. The truth is, he really isn't fit to become CEO. Additionally, he declined being CEO of Nintendo on multiple occasions because it would take away from his creativity. As of right now, Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda are each taking over the responsibility of Iwata until a replacement CEO is found.

Additionally, Miyamoto is getting old himself! Even if he were to take position as CEO of Nintendo, he probably would only do so for maybe a short amount of time. Why would you want a man to take over a position that he has no desire of fulfilling?

I believe that we should have someone who is as humble as Iwata if we want to see Nintendo live another day. Not to mean any offence, but I don't want to see some twnty something year taking over as CEO because they would just ruin everything. We need someone who has been in the gaming industry for as long Iwata and Mitamoto.

On one final note, Iwata was just an amazing person. He cut his own pay in order to make sure that none of Nintendo's employees were fired. That is something that most CEO or anyone of power doesn't do.

Remember his quote,"Video Games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone"- Satoru Iwata.

The Mysterious Ones

Hey Guys, this is my first attempt at my first short thriller/horror story. This one took me a while to create. If this one is well-received, I might continue to make short stories. Yes, I know it really isn't anything gaming related, but I figure that most of us like to read Creepypastas. I should have content on this blog that everybody can enjoy. Hopefully, you'll like my very first story. I really don't consider this story to be that scary. Also, I tried not to make this as cliche as possible, so don't expect a bloodbath of any kind.

Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has passed away

Hey Guys, Nintendo has just made an announcement about the death of CEO Satoru Iwata. He died due to a bile duct growth on July 11, 2015.
Image provided by GameRevolution
Just, wow. I don't mean this in a good way. He was only 55 years old at the time of his death. He left us way too soon. However, we really shouldn't be focused on his death. We should be more focused on all the things he had accomplished.

This man started at Nintendo as a programmer! Now, he was the CEO. Anyways, the new of the bile duct actually caused Iwata to miss E3 this year despite the fact that he was apparently on business.

Seriously, please look up everything that Iwata had accomplished in his life and you'll see why he should get the respect he deserved.

Thank you Mr. Iwata for helping bring joy into our lives and may you rest in peace.

Kojima Productions is officially closed

Holy Cow. Hey Guys, Konami has been in a lot of turmoil ever since they apparently gave Hideo Kojima the boot. Additionally, they gained even more controversy when they wanted to start branching off into the mobile gaming industry. However, this has got to be the final blow to Konami. Japanese voice actor for Solid Snake, Akio Otsuka , confirmed that Kojima Productions has finally disbanded.

Otsuka confirmed the news via his Twitter post. He even stated that Kojima Productions was "forced to disband".

The next question is. What's next for Konami? They are pretty much nothing with Hideo Kojima! Remember Silent Hills? Anyone who tries to argue that Konami can still be amazing without Kojima is a complete idiot! They canceled Silent Hills because Kojima was the only one who knew what to do with the project!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be the final game from Kojima Productions. I bet that this game will be a masterpiece and would have shown how much potential Konami would have had in the future if they didn't get rid of Kojima. As a matter of fact, Silent Hills probably would have resurrected the survival horror genre had it not been canceled.

What's wrong with you Konami? After Metal Gear Solid V releases, I am no longer buying any product of theirs. They got rid of one of the most influential video game designers of all time and have nothing to show for it. I'm sorry, but Konami is pretty much done for at this point in time.

17-year old Lizard Squad member arrested! -Then they attack Daybreak Games....

Hey Guys, I have never been this excited since the announcement of Fallout 4. Lizard Squad is one name that will be any person just shutter is disgust. They claim to be "untraceable", so they were hidden well in the shadows. However, 17-year old Finnish gamer, Julius Kivimaki was finally caught.
Image provided by KitGuru
Kivimaki was convicted for over 50,000 charges in cyber crime which also includes the Christmas DDos attack for both Xbox Live and PSN. He will be facing a two-year prison sentence and required to be an ant-cyber crime advocate. You can view more deails about his arrest here.

Then, Lizard Squad began attacking Daybreak Games as a result of their CEO John Smedley took onto Twitter and Reddit to rant about them having a negative impact on his life. You can check out the full article behind this here.

I'm going to try to give you guys my thoughts on this, but I do fear in the worst case scenario that something may happen to me, but I will risk it. I am so glad that finally someone else was caught. This at least give us optimism that these guys are traceable after all. Remember the Christmas attacks? Jesus, I couldn't even get on Xbox Live for the entire day! It's even more frustrating to think about it in retrospect because Lizard Squad publicly announced that they would attack Xbox Live and PSN on Christmas and neither Microsoft nor Sony took any action towards it.

Security should be beefed up on both Xbox Live and PSN to prevent these guys from attacking, but also not just these services. Every game company should have increased cyber security in order to prevent attacks like these from happening.

Lizard Squad is nothing when they don't have a computer. One of these days, they will get caught. Of course not by me, but somebody will get them. They think they have all the power in the world to do as they please, but they are just practically asking to get caught.

If you are a hacktivist, please keeping doing what you're doing, but I don't have a tolerance for hackers who do these types of things. Please, focus all your attention in seeking these guys out and finally getting rid of them.
Till Next Time!!
