Xbox Elite Controller Supplies Limited: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, remember those Elite Controllers for the Xbox One? Yeah, I actually forgot about those because it did not interest me and I thought it was a stupid idea. Seriously, this thing is like $150 which is half the price of the Xbox One itself.

Image Provided by Geek Daily

In the grand scheme of things, this really doesn't matter. However, I really love to get mad over trivial things such as overpriced controllers. I really do not see what is so special about these Xbox Elite Controllers!

These controllers are not as customization as they are advertised to be. Sure, you can switch buttons and triggers around, but does it have to be $150? It's not like the controller comes with seat belts or something like that.

I will admit that I can be a cheapskate. I will not pay more than $70 for a controller. I consider myself to be a causal gamer, so there really is no need for me to get a controller that allows me to play better. These Xbox Elite Controllers are meant for competitive players.

However, you could get a Scuf controller for around the same price or less. You can actually customize those controllers entirely, so it makes sense those cost around $150 or even $160.

What really made me perplexed is the fact that supplies of the Xbox One Elite Controller are going to be limited until March 2016. Microsoft expected sales to be low! They even knew that this was going to be a terrible idea, but it turns out people were buying these controllers like hot cakes! Why!?

Why would you buy this controller!? Why not a Scuf or something like that? Oh well. In the end, you are not obligated to listen to me as it's your money. However, just know that you are pretty much advocating for overpriced controllers.

Update:Games I'm currently playing & my new review format

Hey Guys, I wanted to let you all know that I am doing the best I can on spending as many hours as possible on all the new games I have. However, there is one game in particular that is holding me back from playing my other games: Rainbow Six Siege.

I just can't stop playing Rainbow Six! I won't say much about it in this post as I'll have a full review up for it as soon as I put in enough hours. I'm having fun with Halo 5 and Assassin's Creed Syndicate as well.

This brings me to my next topic. I will no longer be using scores in my review. Instead, I will talk about the game in certain categories then come up with a verdict to either buy it, skip it, price drop, or don't buy. The reason why I'm changing up my review format is because I just hate giving out scores as it's too much of a chore.

I know it's been over a month since I said I would have the Fallout 4 review up. I'm still working on it and actually have to do it over in order to accommodate for the new review format.

Expect to see a review for Rainbow Six Siege first as I'm just spending every waking minute playing that game. I might try to get Halo 5 next, but that might take a while.

Games I'm looking forward to in 2016

Hey Guys, can you believe that 2015 is almost over? I feel like I'm getting older by the second. There have been a number of great games this year as well as some disappointments. I didn't play enough games to make a "Top 10" list of either the best games or worst games. However, my personal game of the year is Metal Gear Solid V.

Anyways, this is my list of games that I am looking forward to. This is in no particular order and is based purely on my own opinion.

Friday the 13th: The Game

Image provided by GameSpot

This is a game that I just went nuts over when it was announced! I felt like I was being sexually harassed but in a good way. Okay, that may not be a good simile, but I think you get my point. I am a big fan of the movies. The idea that you would be able to play as Jason or run from him is brilliant! This game has so much potential and the developer promises that there will be brutal kills.

However, the game is indie developed. There is a chance the game could be disappointing or even terrible, but there is a chance that this will be one of the best survival-horror games of 2016. Either way, my hopes are very high for this game.

Quantum Break

This is an Xbox One exclusive...

I've heard of this game back in 2013. That was a really long time ago or it at least feels like it's been a long time. Regardless, I'm really excited that this game is finally coming out in 2016! I think the time manipulation powers is what got my attention. It's something new!

Sure, there have been games that involve time travel, but Quantum Break is also choice driven. I guess I'm a sucker for any game that lets me have my own choices. Additionally, there will be puzzle elements in the game, so it will be a fresh breath of air.

Much like Friday the 13th, there is still a chance that this game will be disappointing, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt for now.

Gears of War 4

I am uncomfortable with the new characters...

Although I was not a big fan of Gears of War: Judgement, I am exited to see where the franchise will go to. As soon as I saw the first trailer, my love of the series was reignited because of all the fond memories I have from Gears of War 2 & 3. Yeah, I didn't start off with the first one.

Not much has been said about the game, but the beta should be releasing sometime in the spring. Hopefully, this game will bring the franchise back!

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst

The only EA game I will buy this year

I didn't play Mirror's Edge until 2012. Although the game was linear and relatively short, I loved every minute that I played the game. The art style was cool and the parkour system was amazing! The games does hold up today, but it's still too short.

My hopes are still mixed here since EA is running the show here even though DICE is developing the game.

I know what most of you guys are thinking, but there really is not too many games that I want to play in 2016. Additionally, I really wanted to put The Division on this list, but I keep hearing news that this game is becoming more disappointing.

I got another post coming up soon that might be interesting for you guys to read! Let's just say that it involves Grand Theft Auto V.

Was Advanced Warfare Disappointing?

Hey Guys, I guess it's time for another post like this where I look back on games which may have been disappointing for most players when it was released, but I feel was a bandwagon situation.

I did a post like this for Titanfall a couple of months ago as well as a post about why most of us continue to play older Call of Duty games despite the fact people talk so much trash about it.

Let me get this straight, I actually liked Advanced Warfare. I thought that the Exo Suits were a cool addition to the game, but I also hated them in the sense that most players would just spam the A button most of the time. I think the Exo Suits are a mixed bag for most people.

I was not a big fan of the story as I said in my review of the game almost a year ago. I think most people are only disappointed at the game because of the story. Personally, I think the campaign in new Call of Duty games are becoming more lackluster. Yes, I'm also talking about Black Ops III, but that's something to talk about on a different day.

Exo Zombies was pretty fun, but I hated the fact that you had to pay to play it if you only bought the standard edition. However, I got bored of it once the third DLC pack released and that's only because I got sidetracked by other games.

The multiplayer was still the strong point of the game! I had a lot of fun with the time I spent on the multiplayer portion of the game. Sure, there were a ton of people who kept jumping around the map with the Exo Suits, but it made the gameplay much faster. It was a big improvement since Ghost's multiplayer!

I can understand why Advanced Warfare may be disappointing for some. However, there is no denying that this game is a lot better than Call of Duty: Ghosts. At least now the games are getting better. It may not be by much, but nobody can argue that it's a rehash series anymore.

Xbox Live: Free Games of January 2016- Guess what? It sucks.....

Hey Guys, I'm not dead! I've been working on an article for a couple of days now, so expect to read it within a day or two. Hopefully, you'll find it interesting! I won't be posting on the 24th and 25th since I have to spend time with loved ones for the holiday.

Anyways, the new free games for Xbox Live users have been announced today! However, I found it to be another disappointing month, but it does not suck that bad. Let me explain.

Image Provided by Major Nelson's blog

Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition will be free for Xbox One owners for the whole month of January. Then, Zheros will be free from January 16th to February 15th.

On Xbox 360, Dirt Showdown will be free from January 1st to January 15th. It will then be replaced by Deus Ex: Human Revolution on January 16th to January 31st.

Now onto my thoughts. I personally believe that Xbox 360 users have the better game lineup. Honestly, I never got into Killer Instinct. However, I was somewhat surprised they put a $40 game for free even though the game is free to play, but I guess it comes with extra content. If you love Killer Instinct or are eager to try something new, then I suppose you'll love this.

I never heard of Zheros before in my life. What is up with Microsoft putting games that most people don't know about for free? There is only a slight chance that it's a hidden gem, but there is a bigger chance most people will get bored of it.

I won't be downloading any of the free games for Xbox One. I am just not enticed to play any of those games.

I am not a big fan of the Dirt franchise. Although I heard that a lot of the games are good, it's just not my cup of tea.

I always wanted to get into the Deus Ex series. The only game that I will download for this month will be Human Revolution which is why I said this month's free games don't suck that much. Besides, I really want to know if I'll like Mankind Divided.

Hopefully, we'll get better games for February. There is still a chance that month will suck as well. At this point, my expectations are not high.
Till Next Time and Happy Holidays!!

DICE Confirms Development on next Battlefield game: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I have some mixed thoughts right now. I am happy that we are getting a new Battlefield game, but I am also mad that we are getting a new Battlefield game. I know it may sound contradictory, but allow me to explain.

In case you have not seen the tweet, here it is,
You can check it out here.

Battlefield is easily one of my favorite first person shooters to play online. However, Battlefield 4 was very disappointing when it came out because of how soon it was released. I have not played Battlefield Hardline, but I did not play it because I just did not like the fact that it was not the Battlefield game I am used to. I am not the only one who feels this way; it's clear that Battlefield Hardline is just a mixed bag.

My biggest concern here is the fact that it's too early for a Battlefield game to be announced. Couldn't they have waited until next year or maybe a couple of years to make an announcement?

I know it's not a formal announcement, but EA is planning for a release in 2016. Keep in mind that Battlefield Hardline only released back in March of this year. Additionally, Battlefield 4 was not even 2 years old at that time when Hardline released. I really hope this sets off red flags for you guys.

I could be wrong though. It is not clear if this will be Battlefield 5 or even another Bad Company game or something else. Maybe the release date could be pushed back a year or two.

It's cool there is another Battlefield game! However, I do not want another rehash of Battlefield 4 or Battlefield Hardline. Last time I checked, there are more active players on Battlefield 4 than on Battlefield Hardline. You know why? Because Battlefield 4 was a lot more fun to play because the game has been improved since the day it released. You can even still have fun with Battlefield 3 despite the game being about 3 or 4 years old!

I'm being paranoid right now, but I will give this the benefit of the doubt. I do hope that more effort is put into this next installment in the Battlefield franchise.

Censorship in Video Games....just why?

Hey Guys, I really did not want to have to talk about this. I thought that maybe if people just didn't care what was going on then maybe all of this would just go away. You would not believe how bad I facepalmed when I heard that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 wouldn't release in Western territories. Ever since I heard that some parts of Street Fighter 5 was censored, I just went bonkers!

You know who really is to blame for this? Social Justice Warriors. SJWs are possibly the worst the internet has to offer. I swear these people just look for anything to get offended about! I can kind of understand why they would be so angry, but unless they are directly being effected or have been through some kind of traumatic experience then they have no reason to be offended.

However, even though SJWs are a bunch of low-life ignorant, instigating a-holes, video game companies are not exactly innocent either. Want to know why? Well, they are quick to give in to SJWs' demands. Seriously, unless there is a universal boycott against a game then something has gone wrong. Even then, it's still a video game, so people have the right to play it if they so choose.

And that's the thing. It's a video game! So what if it's objectifying women? Is it changing the way men treat women? Well, that depends, but it does not change anything for the most part! It's not okay to objectify women, but if it's purely for fiction and does not effect how women are treated in real life then I really do not see the problem.

If an SJW is reading this which I'm positive there will be since they love to get offended, then why do you feel the need to complain about something like this? There is a very simple solution to this: DO NOT BUY THE GAME! If you do not like the way a game is, then don't buy it! Who are you to say what games should be censored or not!? I'm a consumer myself, so I would really appreciate if the game I play are not censored as I paid to get the full product.

I'm not really interested in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 nor Street Fighter 5. I do not plan on buying either game. Well, I can't buy Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 since it won't even be available here in the US. You don't see me complaining about the sexual nature in each of these games because I'm already familiar with how each game is.

I don't think we'll see an end to this. 2015 is just full of people looking to get offended. These people just offend me by getting offended by anything.

Why Rainbow Six Siege is alarming for the future of Gaming

Hey Guys, I'm actually posting on a Monday! I do not know how many times I have to apologize, but I really have nothing to talk about when not much is going on. Additionally, there is no way I can do my own "Top 10" awards for video games because I did not play 10 new games this year. I literally just do not have the time to really invest in all of them and give honest opinions on them all. The only games that I have just sunk my time into were Fallout 4 and Metal Gear Solid V. I did not really put in much time into Black Ops III nor Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

I actually do not remember what new games I have played this year. However, I know for a fact it had to be less than 6. The holidays are coming up, so I know that I am going to get a couple of more games, but I really am not sure which ones actually interest me enough to play.

Anyways, let me go on to the point I am trying to make on this article.

This was a screenshot I took back in the beta. I meant to use it in my impressions post that was never made.

Rainbow Six Siege has to be one of the most decisive games of the year possibly second to Star Wars: Battlefront. Why would I even mention both of these games in the same sentence? Well, these games actually only give more reason why lack of content is just seemingly acceptable for the public!

Okay, let me get this straight. I loved Rainbow Six Siege! I played the beta back in September or whenever it was released during the closed beta state. I thought it was a great idea. Sure it was merely Search & Destroy from Call of Duty, but team work was the emphasis of the game! If you have been reading my content for a while, you will know how much of a fanboy I am for the Battlefield franchise.

I really do not know much of the difference between the beta and the "finished" game because I have not played the "finished" game. However, the game does not feel much different from the beta, but that is both a good and bad thing. Why good? Well, all of the awesome game mechanics from the beta are still in the "finished" game! The customization is pretty cool especially when it comes to the character you are using. Why bad? The beta was free. If not much has been done to the game and there really is not a lot of maps, then why even charge $60!? Look, I know a lot of betas are like this. However, this games does not have a campaign! Additionally, Rainbow Six is known for its co-op campaigns.

Regardless, I think it's a good game, but I do not believe it should be $60. I think it would be worth $60 if the DLC were free in order to compensate for the lack of content the game released with. However, I guess it would be worth $60 if you were into multiplayer games, but it still does not excuse the fact that you are paying a video game company full price for a video game that feels partially complete.

I could say the same thing about Star Wars: Battlefront! The game lacks maps and a single player campaign. Both Rainbow Six Siege and Star Wars: Battlefront have a ton of replay value. However, it doesn't matter because both games were launched incomplete and are receiving DLC you need to pay extra for.

I really can't say much about Star Wars: Battlefront. I only played the beta and feel that not much has been done to the "finished" game much like Rainbow Six Siege. I'm not saying either are bad games. As a matter of fact, I really loved my time I spent with these games. However, quality does not necessarily come over quantity.

If you enjoy these games, then great! However, this kind of behavior from video game companies should not be condoned. If you are paying full price for these multiplayer-only games with lack of content, then you are only asking for these companies to bend you and your wallet over.

The Game Awards 2015: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, the Game Awards were on Thurday! I did not hear of it until last week, but I thought I check it out to see how bad it was going to turn out. Remember VGX 2013? Yeah, that was pretty bad. I didn't get a chance to see the Game Awards 2014, so I really can't give a fair opinion.

What can I say about it? Well, I thought it was okay. It wasn't great, but I did find some things from the show pretty cool.

I really loved the tribute to Satoru Iwata. They could have done a little more, but what they did was still honorable to Iwara nonetheless. I really wished more would have been said rather than just having sad music played for him.

If you were on the livestream or watched the Game Awards a little later, remember the the Best Performance winner announcement? I thought that was hilarious! I forgot who presented it, but she said Witcher 3 won, but then Viva Seifert from Her Story actually went up to the stage to get the award. It was a minor mistake, but it was pretty funny.

What I took away from the show was Rocket League coming to Xbox One! It won't be coming until February 2016. However, I really was disappointed that cross-platform play will not be allowed on the Xbox One version. You can blame Microsoft for that.

Okay, let me go on about Game of the Year. It was obvious that Mario Maker and Bloodbourne would not win due to them being console exclusive games. I already knew Fallout 4 wouldn't win because it hasn't even been out for a month. Additionally, it would be a pretty boring show if everyone knew it was going to win since the game would obviously win if it were released earlier in the year.

It was between Phantom Pain and Witcher 3. You should have seen the comment section during the livestream. You had people just typing angrily of who would win. I wanted Phantom Pain to win, so you could imagine how disappointed I was to find out that Witcher 3 won. However, I'm not going to complain about how MGSV should have won.

What I am going to complain about is the fact that Hideo Kojima wasn't allowed to be at the Game Awards! Konami is only proving itself to be the lowest of the low in gaming companies. I don't even think EA would pull off something like this!

Overall, I still enjoyed my time watching. You can find the livestream on YouTube, but I think the audio was messed up when it was processing.

Fallout 4 Impressions #1

Hey Guys, I know this is way overdue. I wanted to release this as soon as possible since the two week mark of Fallout 4's release is quickly approaching. In all honesty, my feeling towards the game have been very bipolar. You have critics praising this game like no tomorrow and you have YouTube reviewers saying things that critics have not been mentioning.

Currently, I am level 34. I know that I am not very skilled at the game. I had my difficulty on normal for the entirety of the main story quest line. I changed it to hard after I completed it. I think I was on level 28 when I changed the difficulty.

Word of advice, if you can handle it try playing the game on hard or even go further beyond. The game is not hard unless you do not have any good weapons or armor. You could go through the whole game in power armor, but you would have to keep searching for fusion cores to keep them going.

Personally, I hardly used power armor in the game. I think I only have about 4 sets of power armor. The reason why I do not use power armor is because I like to have a challenge. If there are moments where I literally am stuck, then I will use power armor as an ultimate last resort. Additionally, I like the look of my character and I just think the power armor just hinders it.

How about the main story? Well, I do not want to spoil anything, but I thought it was okay. The twist was pretty good though! I honestly was not expecting it. However, I really was not satisfied with the ending. In case you're curious, I did side with the Brotherhood of Steel. They have firepower and armor! I may not agree with everything they did, but I got to do what I've got to do to get some awesome weapons.

I do not know if it's just me, but I think Ghouls are a lot more powerful in Fallout 4 then in Fallout 3. Seriously, I remember that I could literally just shoot a Ghoul in the chest and they will go down. In Fallout 4, I try my best to avoid them in pacts! I got this Electrified Chinese Sword that will take most ghouls in a hit or two, but it is pretty much useless if there are too many of them!

However, I do really love the fact that Fallout 4 is a lot more challenging. Well, at least a lot more challenging if you are not using power armor and/or playing on hard.

I think I finished the main story at around the 24 hour mark. I still have a wealth of activities to do, but the problem with that is the fact that you literally have to go on the Fallout wiki to find these side quests if you do not want to have to keep searching the Commonwealth blindly.

I do not know how long I will have a review up on this game. I'm actually going to have to include screenshots for it.

A Response to Samuel Roberts's Article "Why MGS5's ending is one perfect moment in a bad story"

Hey Guys, it's been a while since I mentioned anything about The Phantom Pain. First, I loved the game. It's easily a competitor for Game of the Year! I even gave the game a high score on my review of it. However, I did not give it a perfect score due to the story. Although I may not be a big fan of the story, I would not say it is bad.

I stumbled upon this article and have a mixed response to it. If you want to check out Samuel Robert's article, be sure to click here. If you did not already guess it, but this post will contain spoilers for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Please, do not read on if you plan on playing the game and/or are currently playing the game.

As my usual response posts, I will be breaking down some key quotes made in the article. I will not just be focusing on quotes that I disagree with, but this article does have some valid points that I need to address. Anyways, let me get started,

  • "As someone who's followed the series very closely since the original Metal Gear Solid, though, I find so many of the creative decisions behind the story baffling in tone, approach and content". He does have a good point here, but I would not say that there is a complete loss of creativity is this game. A vocal parasite that effects the English language? That sounds pretty unique to me. However, I did feel that this game really did lack a lot of what made the previous entries in the franchise's story so good.
  • "Like a lot of observers I was onto this from the start of MGSV's story. In my review-in-progress piece in September, I called this version of Snake 'an anonymous action hero' and ‘an empty vessel'". If you're confused as to what he was talking about in the first part of the quote, he was talking about how most people were already aware of the fact that you were not playing as Big Boss. If you went into the game without knowing that you were not playing as Big Boss, then you would have already caught on to the fact that Big Boss really lacked in character in the Phantom Pain. Seriously, I think Big Boss had like 5 or 10 minutes worth of dialogue in the entire game. Why the decision was made for Big Boss to remain silent is beyond me, but I think it had something to due with the fact that this is not the real Big Boss.
  • "Having lost nine years of his life to a coma, he then gives up his own identity to assume that of his ally for his protection, through both hypnotherapy and plastic surgery, then builds an entire army and forges relationships on an entirely false premise". The Medic is essentially a nobody. Mr. Roberts even addresses this later in the article. If anything, it really makes you want to feel bad for him since everything the Medic did means nothing since most people saw him as Big Boss including himself.
  • "But the story feels deliberately unfinished—Quiet, Huey and Eli (Liquid Snake) all just vanish in various ways throughout chapter two, stripping more and more of Metal Gear’s lore away from The Phantom Pain". Honestly, the game does feel unfinished. Chapter 3 must have been cut from the main game because Chapter 2 was just painful to play through. Personally, I felt it was just filler at that point. There really was no closure to the game, but I feel there is as future DLC that will give this game a proper closing.
In the grand scheme of things, Metal Gear Solid V is a great game. However, it is easily the worst game in the series in terms of story. Honestly, I do not feel the "ending" was great either. When I found out I wasn't playing as Big Boss, I felt so cheated. At the same time, it was still a genius ending as it was Kojima's way of giving the ol' tip of the hat to fans of the series.

We can't help but feel bad for the medic since his story is pretty tragic. Although we are not playing as the real Big Boss, it does not take away from core gameplay. As I said before, the story isn't bad in terms of video games in general, but I would say it's bad in terms of Metal Gear standards.

Xbox Live: Free Games of December 2015 - This also sucks....

Hey Guys, I'm still working on that Fallout 4 impressions post, so keep your eyes out for that. I have completed the main quest line, but there is still so many activities I can do in the game.

Anyways, the list for Xbox Live's Game with Gold for December has been released today. Usually, I would say if it sucks or not, and this is no exception. Want to know why it sucks? Well, I'll let you know as soon as I actually show you which games will be free.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing will be free for Xbox One owners for the entire month. Thief will be free for Xbox One owners starting December 16th to January 15th.

For you guys still on Xbox 360, CastleStorm will be free beginning December 1st to the 15th. Sacred 3 and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will be free on the 16th up until the 31st of December. All of these games will be backwards compatible for the Xbox One.

Now onto my thoughts.

I will give Microsoft this, they had the kindness to give one extra game. However, was anyone asking for any of these games?

As a matter of fact, wasn't Thief free on Xbox 360 a couple of months ago or something like that? Technically, we really are not getting an extra game. I think they were aware of the fact that they made Thief free already, so they decided to give us an "extra" game as a way to cover it up.

I guess it's better than nothing. I never played Operation Flashpoint, so I might as well try that. Additionally, I personally find it more appealing than the other games. I tried getting into Thief, but it couldn't hold my attention. It literally felt too much like Dishonored.

PS2 Games on PS4: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, it has been a little over a week since backwards compatibility released on Xbox One. Although the current Xbox 360 game line-up is about 104, there are more to come as time goes on. I am little disappointed by the fact that most of the popular requests were not made backwards compatible. I actually wanted Black Ops II to be backwards compatible, but I guess we all have to wait until that day comes.

Anyways, I'm here to talk about Sony's announcement of a PS2 emulator for the PS4. It's going to work the similarly as the Xbox One's Xbox 360 emulator. Right now, not much is known as this announcement was only made yesterday.

Do I think this is a bad idea? Well, it's totally opinion based. Most fan-favorite games have been remastered to both last-gen consoles and current-gen consoles. The Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection and Silent Hill: HD Collection come to mind. I am not going to lie, but there are some PS2 games that still hold up to this day. However, it will be a very small list.

A PS3 emulator would have been the smarter move. I never owned a PS3, but I do plan on getting a PS4 purely for console exclusives. Imagine a person who has never owned a PS3 or has a PS3; they will want to buy a PS4 because they have more options on what games they can play.

I can give Sony this, they manged to actually make an emulator for the PS2. Microsoft has been talking about making the original Xbox games backwards compatible, but they have not done so, yet.

Sorry it's been a while since I posted anything. It's kind of hard to juggle time between video games and real life. I'm still working on the Fallout 4 impressions post, but I need some screenshots without spoiling the game. I'm kind of stuck on a quest as part of the main story, so I'm in the middle of doing some side quests to get more supplies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Impressions #1

Hey Guys, it has been a week since Black Ops III released and I really did not make any progress in the campaign. Realistic difficulty can easily make even the most season player quit in anger. I'm not going to lie, but I did not even make it past the second mission.

Even though I did not put the time in for campaign, I have put it a lot more attention to the multiplayer section of the game. What can I say about the multiplayer? The "old me" would have said nothing has been done to the multiplayer and it wasn't fun.

However, I really could not find the will to actually say that Black Ops III sucks. The multiplayer is enjoyable! It's best to play with friends though.

I can't recommend the XR-2 enough

Although the multiplayer is fun, I feel that it's not balanced. The XR-2 is easily arguably the best weapon in the game but overpowered.  I consider myself to be a causal player, but I can get kills supernaturally fast with the XR-2.

If you want to get as many kills as possible, use the XR-2. The KN-44 is pretty good as well, but I swear I feel that most of the weapons of the game do not have recoil. I'm sure it's just me, but recoil needs to be increased for most of the weapons. By the way, the perk system is pretty much similar to Black Ops II.

I was disappointed by the character customization. There is a limited number of options you can choose from. However, I am not too worried about this feature.

Hopefully, I will get around to playing the campaign and actually getting a review out for the game. However, I am so busy with Fallout 4 because of how awesome it is. Black Ops III has a fun multiplayer mode, but I would not say to rush out and buy it.

Update Post: Fallout 4 and Black Ops III

Hey Guys, sorry it's been a while since I posted anything as there really wasn't anything major going on in the gaming industry.

While I was gone, Call of Duty: Black Ops III released. I need to beat the campaign and put in at least 20 hours into the multiplayer as well as play the zombies mode to actually put out a review. However, I don't even know if I'll even have the review out in time because Fallout 4 is coming out this week.

I might do impressions for Black Ops III and Fallout 4 as a way to build up for the reviews for each game even though there is a strong possibility that Fallout 4 will just get a 10.

So far, I'm actually liking Black Ops III. I'm kind of playing on Realistic difficulty, so it might take me a while longer to beat the game.

I might even forget about Black Ops III because I'll be too busy with Fallout 4.

Here's when the New Xbox One Experience and Backwards Compatibility Releases

Hey Guys, Major Nelson has revealed that the highly anticipated backwards compatibility feature and New Xbox One Experience will release much earlier than originally thought.

Check the tweet here.
I'm sorry I didn't post anything yesterday. I'm kind of feeling terrible after what happened on last night's Walking Dead episode. I'm not going into full details as I don't want to spoil anything.

Get Fallout 4 22% off on Steam

Hey Guys, sometimes I wish I was a PC gamer. I was on Destructoid and apparently there is this coupon code you can use to get Fallout 4 22% off as well as a number of other games on Steam.

I'm not so sure how true this is, but it wouldn't hurt to use the code as it's only for the weekend. If you do use the code, then Fallout 4 should be $46.80 instead of $59.99.
Code: WINTER-ISCMNG-22PERC

I'm sorry that there is nothing really new for today, so I had to find something to post about.

Fallout 4 Has Gone Gold!

Hey Guys, great news has come from Bethesda about Fallout 4! The game has finally gone gold meaning the game is ready to ship.

You can check out the original tweet here
Although the game is ready to be shipped, I don't want Bethesda to release it any earlier because there are probably some tweaks that they might want to do with the game to make sure it's in the best state possible.

If you didn't know this by now, but Dell will be selling an Xbox One bundle that comes with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Fallout 4 for just $300.

Xbox 360 Sales Declining: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I hope that all of you are having a great day! I'm posting a day earlier because I feel lazy and I actually have something to talk about! Seriously, I wonder why this is even news.

Anyways, Microsoft announced that their revenue from gaming grew 6%; however, their software sales were offset by Xbox console sales.

There are positives to this article, but you can check it out here. I just want to get to my thoughts.

What I find funny about this article is the fact that Microsoft didn't try to justify the reason why Xbox sales are down. At the same time, it would be even funnier if they came up with an excuse, but it's as if they knew that there is no way they would come up with an excuse that isn't obvious.

It's simple why Xbox 360 sales are slowing down. the Xbox One is out. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but last-gen consoles are pretty much going to be obsolete as people will have no choice but to upgrade.

The Xbox One is even going to have a price drop on Black Friday, so why would anyone even bother trying to buy an Xbox 360? I know that the Xbox 360 is a cheaper alternative, but it's losing AAA support dramatically.

Check out the Limited Edition Fallout 4 Xbox One Controller

Hey Guys, I know that I have a schedule that I said I would stick too, but I have to make up for the missed articles over the weekend. Anyways, I thought this was a cool thing that I have to share.

Before I say anything about the controller, Bethesda is having a sale at their online store. It's only lasting a week and these are probably the coolest Fallout merchandise that I've seen in a while. I believe it's like a 20% most products besides video games.

Take a look at the controller,

Remember, this is literally a limited edition controller

Only 5,000 of these will be made for sale starting tomorrow. The price hasn't been revealed, yet. Keep in mind that this controller is wired, so you won't even have to worry about charging any batteries.

This is a cool-looking controller. If you can get your hands on it, I would highly suggest buying this controller before it's gone because it will become a collector's item.

There's also this Great War t-shirt that looks awesome as well. You can get it for $16 or get it for free if you pre-order Fallout 4 through the online store. That's actually a pretty good deal considering the design of the shirt.

Don't forget to sign up for the giveaway that the store is doing as it's literally going to giveaway Fallout 4 merchandise to people every Monday until November 9th. All you have to do is give your e-mail address.

This is why the COD: Black Ops III Loyalty Program kind of sucks...

Hey Guys, sorry it's been about a day since I last posted. I've actually been out of the house almost all day and didn't have the time to post anything. Fortunate, nothing major has happened yesterday. However, I do want to talk about this loyalty program that Black Ops III will have and why it kind of sucks. No, I'm not saying this is important either. I just ran out of things to talk about.

Is this appealing?

This offer applies to players who have played Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. You do have to reach the levels presented in the image above and link your account by November 5th, 2015.

Although I may sound like a hypocrite, but I do find it unfair that this is only for current generation console owners and PC. It's just a calling card, some reticles and a camo. Will it really make a difference to give it to last-gen users as well? I'm actually surprised they didn't make this an exclusive to PlayStation 4 users.

However, that's my main complaint. It's just a calling card, some reticles, and a camo. If this "loyalty" program really wanted to thank players for playing past Call of Duty games, why not give some free map packs or discount them at the least? Seriously, this is coming from a company that can afford this due to how much money they will make on just this one game.

Why in the world do people have to link their account anyway? I know it doesn't take that long to link your account, but Call of Duty: Ghosts calling cards or background designs to players who have played Black Ops II or Modern Warfare 3.

I'm sorry I can't go on any longer. I'm feeling pretty tired as I'm writing this pretty late at night. In all seriousness, this still sucks.

EA has no Interest in HD remakes: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, this has to be one of the most funniest things that I have read all year. What exactly makes this so funny? The irony.

If you want to check out the article for yourself, check it out here on IGN. I'll be using the most hilarious quotes or at least I find them pretty hilarious.

EA COO Peter Moore revealed he isn't fond of HD remaster of old video games as he states, "It feels like pushing stuff out because you’ve run out of ideas".

If you aren't laughing at this or even feel the slightest bit of disgust, then you are officially an EA fanboy. Want to know why this is so hilarious? This is coming from the same company that released Battlefield 4 way too early with game-breaking bugs and glitches. May I remind you of the cops-and-robbers re-skin that is Battlefield Hardline?

Seriously, Battlefield Hardline felt more like an afterthought rather than a full retail game. This game was pushed out because EA felt like their wallets weren't big enough.

If you thought the first quote was hilarious, you should read this one. "I don’t know where we find the time to do remakes...We’re a company that just likes to push forward" (Moore).

If you had the time to finish Battlefield Hardline as well as Star Wars Battlefront, then how do you not have the time to finish an HD Remake? Unless, they actually become a "new" game or have additional content!

This is coming from the company that overcharges for DLC as well as having $70 "Deluxe" Edition for their games. $50 for a season pass? Please, next joke.

Most HD remakes actually are more than just remakes. Tomb Raider, Metro Redux, and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are games that come to mind that are very different from their original state especially Gears of War. It's not "running out of ideas". It's arguable, but if developers actually take the time to make it better than the original then it's not "running out of ideas".

I don't even think EA is aware of their faults. Remember when they had online passes? That was the only thing in recent memory that they took the time to fix. Battlefield 4 is a different case scenario as it took EA about 4 years to get rid of their online passes.

Will we ever see a Mass Effect Remake? Probably not. However, I'm pretty sure they will do HD remakes if they see a trend that HD remakes actually sell well. We'll see if they truly are a company that "just likes to push forward".

These are the prices for the microtransactions in Destiny

Hey Guys, most of you are fully aware that Destiny now has microtransactions. These microtransactions only apply for players who want to purchase emotes, which allow players to do certain actions in the game like blowing a kiss! How interesting!

It's way too hard to be sarcastic at this. I predicted that the emotes wouldn't cost more than a dollar or the currency used to buy the emotes wouldn't cost more than a dollar. You want to know how close I was?

Image provided by IGN

Yeah, I wasn't even close to the actual price. As a matter of fact, you can only pay for the Destiny Silver that come in a certain amount. I'm fully aware that there is a 500 Destiny Silver that is probably $4.99, but that's still too much for some emotes!

Just look at how many emotes that are available!

Image Provided by Forbes

There really isn't many emotes that people will even find interesting. If you want to see the full list of emotes, check it out over at IGN. The silver may be low, but imagine how many people will still buy like all of the emotes.

Seriously, Grand Theft Auto Online has emotes and they are free. I'm even positive they'll add even more in upcoming DLC whenever that would release! I know these are optional, but it's still wrong to even put microtransactions in AAA games! People already paid $60 or more into this game, so why would they want to pay extra for content that should already be part of the game!?

Destiny fanboys just don't understand how much damage this is actually doing. Don't buy these emotes. Period. If you want to make sure Bungie doesn't add more microtransactions into Destiny that could potentially get out of hand, then just ignore them.

It's okay to but like 1 or 2 emotes, but overdoing it will only support this awful business practice.

Rise of the Tomb Raider has 300 microtransactions: Bruh....

Hey Guys, how many of you are tired of microtransactions? Yeah, not enough to get rid of these microtransactions. This is about a day or two old story, but it hasn't gone mainstream, yet. Anyways, Rise of the Tomb Raider will have 300 microtransactions and will continue to receive more after the game is released.

This is what Noah Hughes, the creative director of the game, told Xbox Wire, (Note: I will be only including what he says about the microtransactions themselves which are known as "Expedition Cards" in the game),
"Expedition Cards offer hundreds of ways to customize your Rise of the Tomb Raider experience. You can also set up challenges for your friends to see if they can beat your scores with the same card setup. We’ll have about 300 cards available at launch, and more will be added in the weeks that follow".

You can check out the full article here.

He also goes onto to explain that there are two types of cards: Foil and Common. A Common card is used once and must be purchased using credits to use them again- I'll go over what this means a bit later. A Foil card can pretty much make you stronger and can be used whenever you want.

Now, onto my thoughts.

Before anyone does react, just know that you can buy these Expedition Cards with either in-game credits you get from playing the game or real-world currency. However, there really shouldn't be an option to actually pay for these cards. You want to know why?

Nobody is going to even care for the multiplayer portion of the game. Does anyone really believe that game's multiplayer will be any good? Most people really shouldn't be putting their hopes up for the multiplayer especially after the last game's multiplayer mode. As a matter of fact, the multiplayer was critically panned by both fans and critics, so what's the point of even having a multiplayer mode?

Regardless, there shouldn't be microtransactions that will effect gameplay in any significant way! Seriously, someone can buy some over powered Expedition Card and pretty much be unstoppable as they have an unfair advantage since they put the money in for it. What kind of cruel tease is that?

The only way microtransactions will end is if players literally stop using them or outright protest against them! Please, you're aren't special if you do use microtransactions! If anything, you are only supporting this kind of behavior to happen! You might not know it, but companies only really care what you can invest in their game through microtransactions.

Can we end microtransaction? The answer is simple. No. There is just way too many ignorant people who believe that they can do whatever they want with their money despite the fact they are supporting an evil.

Metal Gear Online Impressions

Hey Guys, I feel that I put in enough time to give a fair impression on Metal Gear Online. I didn't start on the first day it released because I didn't want to deal with bugs or glitches. However, I heard that people had technical problems with the game, but I haven't dealt with any major bugs yet. I had a couple of small bugs with the game itself as well as the CQC, but I'll get to that later.

Let me begin with the character customization,

Trust me, there really isn't much..

How can I put this in the most simplest terms without sounding bias? The character customization sucks. In essence, there really isn't much variety starting out. Yeah, you get to unlock more items and weapons as you level up, but there is going to be a high possibility that someone will have the same character appearance as you since your starting character's appearance will be based off the avatar you created in Metal Gear Solid: TPP.

You can even change your character's voice. I don't think many people know about this as I'm always hearing people who have Big Boss's voice as their own.

There are a total of 3 classes you can play as which are Scout, Enforcer, and Infiltrator. The Scout is recommended for beginners, but I hardly see anyone using this class. Infiltrators are pretty much everywhere since they have a stealth camo and Enforcers are ideal for people who are into fast-paced gameplay. There is variety in the game, but it's really nothing special.

Now, let me talk about the game modes,

Yes, you can play as a female

Bounty Hunter is your basic team deathmatch with a twist. You can either eliminate your enemies with lethal weapons or use non-lethal weapons and takedowns to Fulton them. Basically, whoever has the most tickets (indicated the numbers in the circle), wins the game. When you Fulton an enemy, you gain a certain amount of tickets based on their bounty.

Exactly where does the bounty come in? Well, if you kill enemies then your bounty increases and your position is revealed. Let's say that you killed 8 players in the game. If someone were to Fulton you, you would gain 8 tickets back. This could be good or bad for your team. Basically, you're a walking hazard if you kill too many enemies. Your bounty can be reduced if you Fulton enemies.

However, I find this to be the most enjoyable mode.

I'll talk about the stealth camo later

Cloak and Dagger is pretty much Search and Destroy. However, it's pretty fun because you will get a true Metal Gear experience because you just have to use stealth to win!

I really don't like to play this game mode because there is always that one guy on your team who doesn't play stealthy! Well, except for the defender side because they are given the lethal weapons and the attackers are given the non-lethal weapons. The stealth camo will only work if you know how to use it. It doesn't muffle the sound of your footsteps, so don't even bother to sprint or even stand for the matter. I would recommend crouching or lying on the ground behind a wall or in grass to make it harder to spot you.

If you're going to play this game mode, please use stealth if you're on the attackers side and coordinate with your team. Otherwise, you will have little to no chance of winning. Nonetheless, it's pretty fun.

Does this look familiar?

Comm Control is pretty much your typical domination game mode. It's actually pretty fun and it rewards a lot of XP, so you can count on this mode to help you level up a lot faster.

However, it can be really frustrating if your teammates focus on trying to get kills rather than actually going for the objective itself. At the same time, it could be very helpful because you still have the potential to win if you have a lot of points. I'll explain this shortly.

Now, let me talk about the gameplay itself,

Wow, this REALLY looks familiar!

The spawn system works very similarly to Battlefield, but it has one problem. You can spawn next to an enemy on accident! This could either work with you or against you. You could spawn next to your buddy or spawn point, and the enemy will be right next to you. You do have spawn protection, so you will have to be quick to get ready to kill the other player, but you could only shoot once you're out of the spawn protection. Overall, this could be both frustrating and helpful.

Now, let me talk about the biggest problem with the online component to Metal Gear Solid V. People just don't want to use the stealth elements. I'm not going to lie as I mix between going loud and going silent. However, people really should play stealthy especially in Bounty Hunter and Cloak & Dagger. The game doesn't necessarily punish you for not playing stealthy, but you get more incentives for doing so.

I'm not one to dictate what style of gameplay you should be using, but think about your team. If you go sprinting or firing your weapons, then the enemy is going to know your exact location. The mini-map is what really kills the experience as well! If the mini-map wasn't available, then the game would keep players on the edge of their seats and encourage them to play stealthy.

There is a reason why I'm not giving this game a number. There is going to be more content, so it wouldn't be fair to judge this online mode without really seeing its full potential. However, what we got was very enjoyable. It's not great, but it's pretty good. Please, don't even bother reading critical reviews of the game as it's still too early to judge this.

Phil Spencer admits he isn't sure Xbox One could beat PS4: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I'm sorry that I haven't posted. It's kind of difficult to juggle between school and leisure time. I'm still busy with Metal Gear Online and the Star Wars Battlefront Beta just released. I'll probably focus on the Star Wars Battlefront Beta now because it's only available for a limited time. Anyways, onto the main story.

Still keep the price in mind... The PS4 is still cheaper....
If you want to check out the article from Gamespot, you can check it out here. When he was asked about the possibility of the Xbox One selling the PS4, Spencer stated, "You know, I don't know. You know, the length of the generation... They [Sony] have a huge lead and they have a good product. I love the content, the games lineup that we have".

I'm positive most people have stopped reading from here and make assumptions that "Xbox Sucks because _____"! or "PS4 can _____ what can Xbox One do?". However, there is still more to this story and I'll still give you my thoughts.

Spencer isn't sure what caused the Xbox One to be outsold by the PS4, but he does admit that Microsoft has "fundamentally lost... the trust of our most loyal customers". Although he is fully aware that customers are beginning to lose their trust with Microsoft, Spencer concludes with, "... So I would never question the ability of our organization, but I'll say we're not motivated by beating Sony, we're motivated by gaining as many customers as we can".

Now, onto my thoughts. The PS4 has sold over 25 million units and this number is still rising. The Xbox One has sold at least 10 million units, but Microsoft hasn't updated the sales number in a year.

In all honesty, I do feel that Spencer is somewhat correct that customers are just losing their trust with Microsoft, but there is just more behind this. When you really look at it from the customer's perspective, it all comes down to numbers.

The PS4 is more powerful and affordable than the Xbox One. I feel that these two have to be the biggest reasons why people would buy a PS4 over an Xbox One and the recent PS4 price drop isn't going to make anything easier for Microsoft.  Imagine buying a console for a friend or family member on a budget, you're obviously going to go for the PS4!

When you really get into things, the PS4 isn't noticeably more powerful than the Xbox One. Seriously, the normal human being will not notice an immediate difference between the two consoles if you were to compare them side by side.

The game lineup for both consoles are subjective. Some people will prefer the PS4 exclusives over the Xbox One exclusives or vice-versa. There is still a high chance that a lot of people would probably base their choice just by the exclusives alone.

However, the Xbox One still has a chance to break 20 million units due to the fact it will have backwards compatibility whereas the PS4 does not. Maybe it could at least gain an extra 2-3 million?

At the end of the day, it's still a good thing that they are aware they pretty much have a longshot at outselling the PS4 this console generation. They just really care about their own customers. Personally, I really don't believe that the Xbox One will sell more than the PS4 this time around. It will for sure reach that 20 million mark some time this year or next year.

Destiny now has optional microtransactions - Just why?

Hey Guys, I just stumbled upon an article about 15 minutes ago about Destiny. I was just baffled as to what I saw. Destiny will be getting in-game microtransactions with the return of Tess Everis. You can check out the full article here.

Essentially, you have to pay about $1 or less on emotes if you want to use them. Actually, I'm not even sure if I'm even close to the actual pricing as I'm just making assumptions. Please, do keep in mind that I am fully aware that these are optional. However, it still really doesn't justify that you have to pay for some decorations that really won't effect the way you play.

Here's what community manager DeeJ had to say about it, "If you’re not interested in what Tess has to offer, you won’t ever be forced to pluck an item off of her shelf. You’ll still receive updates to the game, and you won’t lose a Crucible encounter or fail to clear a Raid because you didn’t have the right Eververse Trading Company emote equipped".

Want to know the problem with this? If it's not going to effect the way I play the game, then what's the point of me paying for it!? Why can't I just put in the effort and actually earn the emotes? As a matter of fact, why not just include both? Is Bungie seriously this cheap to actually allow people to work for something?

I don't think microtransactions are really that bad. They are very useful for people who just don't have the time to invest in a video game especially in RPGs and MMOs. However, there are a lot of times where microtransactions just get out of hand. For instance, if they are used for either paywalls and/or useless items such as these emotes thing in Destiny.

I don't play Destiny often anymore, so excuse my ignorance on these emotes. I'm being 100% honest that I have no clue what they are. However, I can still be credible with my argument because Destiny shouldn't have microtransactions like this!

I really don't feel strongly for DLC unless it really has meaning to a game, but even that's subjective. It's my opinion that The Taken King DLC is a overpriced DLC that rips off users who have bought the game along with its Expansion Pass. Seriously, you can't defend this. You can't even defend the $40 price tag for the download only version! However, I'm just digressing at this point.

Who is to say that Destiny will just get more microtransactions? Trust me, video game companies are becoming more greedy throughout the years and supporting microtransactions will just make it worse.

Will Star Wars: Battlefront Fail?

Hey Guys, this is a topic that I really do feel like talking about. I'm not a big fan of Stars Wars, but Battlefront did catch my eye when it was first announced. Honestly, I became attracted to it because it looks pretty similar to Battlefield. However, it's been recently leaked that Battlefront is broken, but it's not really known yet. At the same time, it's EA who's publishing the game.

I'm not even being pessimistic here. I'm just being realistic. Do we really trust EA to release game that will function? Sure, it's cool that they are releasing a beta on October 8th, but it's still just a beta. EA already has a feedback system if I remember correctly, but they don't even pay attention to it anyways which explains why they were the worst company in America.

You can just tell that EA is confident that the game will be successful. They even predicted that the game will sell between 9 million and 10 million units by the end of 2016! Want proof? Check it out here.

I'm confident that the game is going to sell like hot cakes! However, these are the people who either don't care about supporting an evil company or are taking their chances. I'm positive the game will be good. Actually, let me change that statement. I'm positive the game will be excellent, but it will probably experience game-breaking bugs and glitches in its first few weeks of release or maybe even longer then that.

This is a game that has so much potential, but who is to know if this game will release broken? Please, don't pre-order Star Wars: Battlefront! Let the reviews start coming in before you buy this game in particular or otherwise you spent your money on a poor excuse of a video game.

1TB Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle Announced - Is it worth a buy?

Hey Guys, before I give you guys the news story of the day I'm letting you know that I'm still working on my Rainbow Six Siege Beta impressions. Hopefully, it will be ready either later today or sometime tomorrow. Anyways, back on topic.

In the recent trend of Xbox One game bundles Microsoft has announced a new 1TB Xbox One console bundled with Fallout 4 coming this holiday season. Specifically, it will release on November 10th.

Interesting design?
This bundle will come with a download code for Fallout 4 as well as Fallout 3. Fallout 3 should be able to work due to the fact that Xbox One will have backwards compatibility by the time this bundle releases.

Before I go on to why or why you shouldn't buy this console, I have to say that this design does not look appealing at all. I literally gave the same criticism to the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Xbox One bundle. Sure most people will look past this since it's Fallout 4, but a lot of people without that knowledge of video games will probably look past this.

Should you buy this bundle? It's a 1TB hard drive with a game that has an insane amount of value for just $399. It may not come with Kinect, but does that really matter? If you don't have an Xbox One, please buy this bundle.

Fallout 4 is already worth its asking price of $59.99. Additionally, Fallout 4 will be having weekly updates as well as the ability to have mod support, so I'm positive that 1TB hard drive will come in handy.

If the Fallout 3 download code came with all its DLC and if it came with the Fallout 4 season pass, then there would almost be no reason not to buy this bundle. However, I feel that the biggest downfall are these two exact things as well as the fact that they don't include the physical copies of the game.

Regardless, this is a pretty good bundle. If you haven't pre-ordered Fallout 4, please do it! However, if you're like me trying to wait for a good pre-order bonus then wait it out a bit.

Fallout 4 Xbox One HDD Space Revealed

Hey Guys, it's been finally revealed that Fallout 4 will take up 28.12GB of hard drive space for Xbox One users. Don't believe me? Well, check out this screenshot I took from the Xbox Store.

This is actually very surprising. I was expecting anything between 30GB to 50GB for Fallout 4 considering the amount of content the game will have on its release date. However, 28.12GB is pretty small for a game this large.

However, I'm pretty sure this number will just increase even more when the updates and DLC start rolling in. Believe it or not, there is a large portion of storage that was used for the dialogue for the game.

I'm willing to bet that this game will take up at least 40GB by the end of this year just by updates alone. I call it first.

Xbox Live: Free Games of October 2015 - This kind of sucks....

Hey Guys, I know I'm kind of late on the reveal of which games will be free for Xbox Live Gold members on October. However, I did it intentionally because I was pretty disappointed to see which games are free.

Image Provided by Major Nelson's blog

Before I go on to my thoughts, I need to announced the games. Xbox One users will be able to download Valiant Hearts: The Great War and The Walking Dead: Season 1(This will come with 400 Days as well). Valiant Hearts will be free all month while The Walking Dead will be free from October 16th-November 15th. Why that long, I'm not sure.

The Walking Dead: Season 1 will also be free for Xbox 360 users starting on October 16th. It will be free until October 31st. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will also be free for Xbox 360 users starting on October 1st and ending on October 15th.

Okay, time for my thoughts. Wow, October's Games with Gold really sucks. Realistically, you're only getting one new game. If you have an Xbox One, then you would know that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was free back in July! Personally, I have The Walking Dead: Season 1 on Xbox 360, so I really don't see the need to have it on Xbox One.

Yeah, it's cool that both consoles get to experience the same game, but what about for people who have already played The Walking Dead or Ground Zeroes? If you've played Ground Zeroes on Xbox One, maybe you would download the Xbox 360 version just to try it out of curiosity. However, Ground Zeroes is not meant to be played on a last-gen console. People would be turned off of the idea to even buy Phantom Pain on last-gen consoles, so why even bother?

I've never played Valiant Hearts before, but I've heard good things about it. I'll give it a try, so I guess this moth isn't that bad, but it still sucks nonetheless.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Review

Hey Guys, it's been about 3 weeks since Metal Gear Solid V released. Critics are praising this game like it was the second coming of Jesus. However, does the game really deserve perfect scores? To be completely honest, no it doesn't. Please, just be sure to hear me out and understand where I'm coming from. I will keep this Spoiler free as I'll have a spoiler talk in a separate article. Anyways, onto the review!

Story: 7 out of 10
That's right, I'm giving this story a "solid" 7 out of 10. You want to know why? Well, the game does have strong voice acting, despite the fact that Big Boss barely talks in the game, and the story rarely has a dull moment during Chapter 1. This game will keep you on the edge of your seat. However, this game lost 3 whole points due to the fact on how weak Chapter 2 was. Please, don't even get me started on that ending. If you've beaten the game, then you'll know what I mean. This has to be one of the most polarizing endings I've seen all year. The ending is both genius and disappointing. Essentially, the second half of the game is a huge slap in the face. Most of the missions are just challenges from older missions once you get to Chapter 2. Just enjoy Chapter 1 for as long as you can. The story will keep you busy though. I think I put in above 40 hours worth of gameplay once I finished the story.

Graphics: 10 out of 10
We all already know how awesome the Fox Engine looks! This has to be one of the best looking games on current-gen consoles. I played this the Xbox One version and I have to say that it can stack up the PlayStation 4's level of graphics.

Gameplay: 10 out of 10
It's clear as to where all the focus was at. This is an open-world stealth game. It's similar to Far Cry, but it's so much different in every way at the same time. You don't even have to play stealthy either! The game doesn't penalize too much for going guns-blazing other than making it more difficult to survive and a lower score, but most of us really don't care about the score.

I would also recommend taking full advantage of the buddy system. D-Dog and Quiet are especially helpful buddies that can really help you out if you're feeling stuck. D-Dog is more for stealth-players while Quiet is pretty much versatile. The more you use them on the battlefield, the more your bond with them grows. Once they reach a certain bond level, you can unlock new commands for them as well as new outfits.

How could I forget to mention Mother Base? It's amazing getting to upgrade Mother Base while progressing through the game. You have to gather resources in order to do this as well as recruit some soldiers for your base. You can even play as some of them as part of your Combat Unit! FOB Mother Base really isn't that good. I think it's just there just to be there. However, make sure to upgrade Mother Base as it allows you to develop new weapons and new weapon upgrades. The Fulton device is a huge help, so make sure to upgrade that, so you're able to capture vehicles and larger weapons such as turrets and mortars.

VGT Score: 9 out of 10
Look, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain does not deserve a 10 score. However, it doesn't change the fact that this game is awesome. This game has an insane value for only $60, so I would highly recommend that you get this game at full price. Trust me, it's worth it.

Black Ops 3 will not have a campaign on Last-Gen consoles: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Hey Guys, it's been recently announced that Call of Duty Black Ops III will be lacking a single player campaign on PS3 and Xbox 360. I know some of you may be angry about this, but I'm pretty sure most Call of Duty players really won't care. However, there are pros and cons that I believe should be addressed about this.

The Good: I think this would encourage more people to actually buy the current-gen version of this game. It sure doesn't warrant buying a new current-gen console, but Call of Duty: Black Ops III is best experienced on a PS4, PC, and Xbox One. There really is no reason to be buying this game on last-gen console unless you don't have a current-gen console or don't want to pay full price for the game for any number of reason. You'll still have multiplayer and Zombies, so be happy about that. Did I forget the $50 price tag? I believe it should be much lower than that to be honest.

The Bad: According to a blog post by Activison, "The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware". I wish I could facepalm so much harder. Everybody knew that the 4 player co-op mode would not be possible on last-gen consoles ever since the game was announced, but did it really mean that the campaign had to be removed? You could still play Borderlands by yourself and it really wouldn't effect the story. I guess Activision was too cheap to make sure the game's campaign can still function even if a player is playing on his/her own.

The Ugly: This game is no where near the technical hardware limits that Grand Theft Auto V or even The Phantom Pain have reached. Black Ops III is not really a next-gen looking game. Sure it may have a buttery smooth framerate, but it doesn't mean that it's really that beautiful. The game looks good, but not THAT good.

Honestly, I wish I could say more, but then I'll just be rambling. However, I will say that last-gen users have to understand that they are getting left behind each year when a new game releases. I anticipate by next-year that most AAA games will not be releasing on last-gen consoles and most of the games on last-gen will probably be kids games and sports games.
