Halo Anniversary Supports Kinect

Microsoft: "This will not affect the core gameplay experience."

June 20, 2011 June 20, 2011 June 20, 2011

Microsoft confirmed its Halo: Combat Evolved remake for Xbox 360, dubbed Halo Anniversary, will utilize the Kinect motion camera.

Microsoft Game Studios VP Phil Spencer said in an interview with GameSpot: "As a first party we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse -- even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration."

When asked for comment, a Microsoft spokesperson said the Kinect functionality will "not affect the core gameplay experience" and is merely an additive feature.

"It's no surprise we're exploring ways Kinect can enhance game experiences in authentic and meaningful ways," a spokesperson told IGN. "The Kinect features we're exploring with 'Halo: Anniversary' are additive and will not affect the core gameplay experience or alter our mission of delivering a faithful recreation of the original game. That said we have nothing else to share just yet."

In a separate E3 interview with IGN, Spencer said bringing back Master Chief with Halo 4 is a huge move for the franchise.

Halo Anniversary is set to launch on November 15.

Killcams, In or Out?

Hey Guys, today in this segment of Video Gamer's Tribune we will be talking about the Killcam and should they return in any other future FPS game.

Killcam bo.png

Games such as Call Of Duty have Killcams which comes as an advantage to other players. They help you locate a camper (if he or she is still in the area) or to see what you did wrong that killed you in the first place. But at most times, people these days don't seem to be using the Killcam because they want to respawn quickly or they find it annoying. And this why people stopped playing Modern Warfare 2 online because there was a lot of campers.

Games such as Halo, Battlefield, and Medal Of Honor don't use Killcams. Which is kind of annoying itself because it doesn't become an advantage to other players but the person who is playing and camping. Now this is my opinion, I think that these companies that made these games didn't want to add a killcam to their game because, they want to promote camping. Like seriously, I want to play a game with a Killcam because you're able to know an enemies position or know how you died!

Okay, would you the people prefer Killcams in any FPS games which comes as an advantage and disadvantage? But it's your choice, but I choose to use a killcam so you know what your doing.

Wii Tech: PDP Headset and Wii Speak

Hey Guys, The PDP Headset is a new voice chat unit for the Wii. It's pretty hard to find a Wii Speak now a days, but some stores still sell them. Lucky me, I own a Wii Speak. But in my opinion, Wii Speak is better then the PDP Headset because it is compatible with a wide variety of games. You can use the PDP Headset with only two games. Which are Call Of Duty Black Ops and Conduit 2.

Also, it's confirmed that the PDP Headset won't work with old Wii Speak compatible games such as Animal Crossing City Folk and The Conduit. And Wii Speak won't work with PDP Headset compatible games. But both the PDP Headset and the Wii Speak must be plugged into the Wii console in order for them to work. And the wire for the PDP Headset is much shorter then the wire for the Wii Speak.

So Overall who's better? The PDP Headset or the Wii Speak? It's up to you guys in your own opinions to choose which one is better.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, there are two versions of the PDP Headset, the White one and the Call Of Duty Black Ops version.

Wii U

File:Wii u.jpg

Okay let's start with the basics, first of all this is Nintendo's first Console to support 1080p HD Resolution.

It's also been said that there will be a built in Blue-Ray Disc Player in the system.

Nintendo states that the Wii U can be 3D compatible but the 3D TV sales must rise first.

The tablet controller is touchscreen which is pretty cool. You can also play a game on it even when the television is turned off.

Nintendo also says that the graphics will be better then the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 graphics.

Note to you all, it is a rumor that the console may cost $250 dollars or more.

The Wii U is planned to be released around the year 2012. (Doomsday) XD

Also you can still use the Wii Remote as well, instead of just using the tablet.

It is said that you can still play regular Wii games for the Wii U.

Now, IGN will have more detailed reports on the Wii U. I explained the system function in plain English so you can understand it better. I am looking forward to the Wii U when it is released, hope you guys are too.

1. Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3

One of the most anticipated games of the year, I bet this is going to be good. Also Call Of Duty Elite will be used in Modern Warfare 3, which is pretty much who's the best in Call Of Duty. So you would want this game for sure.

2. Battlefield 3

At first I thought this was just another installment in the Battlefield series and nothing to special. But when I seen the Fault Line gameplay trailer, I was so amazed! The graphics are just perfect and they make it more realistic with the gestures. And your able to see your body as based on my knowledge. Man you would want to get this game.

3. Assassin's Creed Revelations

If you played the the other three games then you need this game. You can play as three characters in the game. Also the online multiplayer will return in the game. There is also a new weapon called the Hook Blade. So like I said, if you are a fan of the series, get the game.

I was going to add Prototype 2, but I couldn't find an image. I do recommend this game to you guys if you played the first game.
