Rainbow Six Siege Skull Rain: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, more information for Skull Rain was presented yesterday during the Season 2 Pro League Finals. I didn't get a chance to see the reveal stream, so I checked it out before I started writing this. If you want to see the stream from yesterday, you can check it out through YouTube.

"Kept you waiting, huh?"

I'm not going to go over everything that was announced in the stream; I am merely giving my opinions on what I find interesting from the stream.

First off, let me start off with what I don't like. Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of the new operators. If anything, they just feel like a gimmick. Seriously, am I the only one who got a Metal Gear Solid vibe when they first looked at these operators? I just see Big Boss or at least a channel of Big Boss whenever I see images of these guys.

By the way, Capitao is an Attacker and Caveira is a Defender.

Well, I get more of a Big Boss vibe from Caveira since she's the one with the stealth skills. Capitao only gives me a Big Boss vibe solely because he wears an eyepatch.

Anyways, Caveira's ability is unique in the sense that it can be used for an "unlimited" amount of times with a cooldown of course. She can interrogate an enemy to find the locations of the enemy team for a certain amount of time. In concept, this sounds incredibly OP. Well, it will be OP for new players in casual. However, veteran players can easily work around her skill because of either communication or pure strategy.

Capitao is essentially Smoke, but he has a crossbow! Smoke is a good operator, so I could imagine Capitao can be useful to the team if they need a smoke screen or some asphyxiation smoke. Otherwise, he's just an additional operator that can help with crowd control.

What I do like is the new map. My God is it awesome. Ubisoft wasn't kidding when they said this was going to be the most destructible map in the game. Shotguns have a purpose on this map because of how small the inside of the building is and the destructive capabilities of the map. I even like the new feature where you can see the loadout of your entire team. It's convenient during situations where you want to know who has a certain item that can be of use.

I can safely say this has to be the best DLC map that has released so far. I mean the operators aren't anything special, but I'm looking forward to the outer-layers destruction.

Overwatch: Is McCree too Powerful?

Update(7/26/16): Not even a day passed and McCree was changed once again. Essentially, he's more effective at short to medium ranges as his damage falloff range was decreased. It's kind of a mix between a buff and a nerf.

Hey Guys, if you remember one of my old posts you would know that I purchased Overwatch about a month ago. I haven't talked about it much because frankly I haven't been playing it that much when I initially purchased the game.

Anyways, I've been playing a shit ton of Overwatch in my down time for the past couple of weeks. How stupid was I to not pay attention to it? I'm loving every moment I've been spending on the game. I know for a fact I put in about 20 hours or so into the game, so I do have a moderate understanding of what I will be talking about.

Because I am a "new" Overwatch player, I was not around to see old McCree. However, I heard horror stories about how OP he was. Hell, some of you might have seen that one forum post that was dedicated on taking about nerfing McCree. I though these people were full of it. However, I was just shocked when I seen old videos of players taking down tank heroes by simply using McCree's Fan the Hammer attack.

If you have not noticed, McCree has undergone the most changes than any other hero in the game. Seriously, he was nerfed and then he was recently buffed again.

Personally, I started off with McCree because I think he's just a cool character. Maybe it's because I just like cowboys and revolvers, but that's not the point.

I tend to switch off between McCree and Tracer, but I have more time spent with McCree. Is he too powerful? Yes and no.

Unlike Roadhog or Junkrat, it takes skill to be good with McCree. In the hands of a good player, McCree is a nightmare to go up against. My aim isn't great, so I am not a great McCree player. However, I can easily take down other 200 level health heroes with a couple of well placed shots. Keep in mind that I do play on consoles, so it's much harder to aim.

I think McCree is okay in the state that he is in. He's not an easy character to use. Before he was buffed, there really wasn't much point in playing as him. Honestly, I felt that either his weapon could use some more damage or his Fan the Hammer could be buffed a bit. However, letting him be able to snipe again is still useful nonetheless. He is pretty much useless in close range because his Fan the Hammer attack doesn't do much anymore. Unless the person playing McCree goes for headshots using Fan the Hammer.

By the way, if you want to improve your aim with McCree or any other character that has a non-automatic weapon, then use custom games to your advantage. There are plenty of videos that will show you the benefit of using bots in custom games to improve your aim.

Regardless, I am sick of hearing people bitch about McCree being too powerful without realizing how hard it is to get good with him. Remember how I mentioned Roadhog and Junkrat? I wasn't kidding about how it takes no skill to use them. My first try with Junkrat went well and this was in my early days in Overwatch. A good chunk of my deaths come from Roadhog's annoying hook. If anything, those assholes need to be nerfed because they are borderline overpowered.

Before I wrap up, I want to address that McCree's flashbang isn't that powerful especially if the other player being flashbanged knows what they are doing. McCree isn't a fast character and his footsteps are loud. He's already an easy target, so please stop saying he needs a nerf.

Xbox Live: Free Games of August 2016- Help me...

Hey Guys, this might be the earliest that I've been able to report the free games for Games With Gold. I know at this point in time I really shouldn't be having high expectations. Honestly, it's just always been a gamble when it came to Games With Gold.

Image Provided by Major Nelson's Blog
For Xbox One owners, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate will be free from August 1st-31st. Then, WWE 2K16 will be free from August 16th to September 15th.

For Xbox 360 owners, Spelunky will be free from August 1st-5th. Then, it will be replaced by Beyond Good & Evil HD from August 16th-31st.

Okay, now it's time for my thoughts.

I personally believe that Microsoft is more concerned about the value of the games rather than just the quality of the games. If I am not mistaken, I think this is the first time that a $60 game has been set to free for Games With Gold.

The first $60 game and they already mess it up by including a game most people have never heard of. However, I will give it the benefit of the doubt because it might be a good game. I don't like sports games, so WWE 2K16 is just a complete waste for me.

I don't know what's up with Microsoft and Xbox One when it comes to Games with Gold. Seriously, the free Xbox 360 games are so much better than the games on Xbox One. Last month, I didn't like either, but I prefer the Xbox 360 games because it at least had one game I enjoyed. Maybe it's because the games are more expensive on Xbox One or the developers are making it harder for them to choose which games should be free, but I'm not sure.

That's it for now, guys. I have another post to finish and it'll be up by later today. I'm also still working on the Rainbow Six Siege post, but also expect my thoughts on the new DLC for Rainbow Six Siege once more details are released this Friday.

Project Sonic 2017: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, a new Sonic game was announced yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con. Of course, it's an honor due to Sonic's 25th Anniversary. There was also a 2D Sonic game announced, but I'm not going to be focusing on that. I really want to talk about the brand new game that Sega called an "epic title".

If you haven't already, you can check out the trailer here
I want to first talk about the visuals. Just looking at the screenshot shows how beautiful the art style is and the atmosphere. I find this reminiscent of Crisis City from Sonic 06. Oh God, please don't even get me started on that game.

I noticed a lot of people bitching in the comments section about Classic Sonic being playable in this game. First of all, they do have a right to their opinion. Personally, I don't really care about the addition of Classic Sonic. However, I can see where the dislikes are coming from. People complain that either Classic Sonic doesn't add anything new or it's because Classic Sonic made Sonic Generations feel different.

Although most modern Sonic games have been disappointing or bad, I actually have hope that this game will be good. This game is being developed by the same team who made Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. Both of those games were great, so I doubt that this game would be bad.

Additionally, this game is releasing in the Holiday of 2017. There is plenty of time for the team to make the necessary changes to make sure that this game is great.

I also find it interesting that this is Sonic's first major adventure on Xbox One and PS4 if I am not mistaken. This game is also coming on NX for those of you who are interested in getting the NX.

Poodlecorp: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, remember Lizard Squad? Yeah, I almost forgot about them and I already regret bringing them up again. I have more respect for the shit I took this morning than I do for Lizard Squad. I feel bad for even using shit in the same sentence with "them". Unfortunately, they are still active.
Provided by Twitter
I'm already taking a big risk talking shit about Lizard Squad, so as soon as I talk about Poodlecorp I'm pretty much going to get anally penetrated. Well, it depends how "popular" this post gets. If they see this, I can kiss my sorry ass goodbye. By the way, if I ever disappear assume that I've been hacked.

In order to inform those of you who don't know about PoodleCorp, I will provide some background. Basically, they are a new hacking group that have been casing issues to big YouTube stars. Leafy and WatchMojo come to mind when I talk about PoodleCorp. They even took League of Legends offline at some point.

Why am I talking about them now even though they've been around for about a month? I was scared to talk about them and their attacks weren't as serious. Sure, League of Legends is huge, but it wasn't offline for a long time.

Today, they actually attacked Pokemon Go! They DDOSed the serves and now claim that it was a "lil test".

If you haven't already noticed, millions of people play Pokemon Go. Seriously, it's like everyone and their mothers plat that game. I don't get the appeal, but I do respect it.

If PoodleCorp can hack big YouTubers and take down a popular video games, imagine what else they could do! Maybe they might take down Xbox Live and PlayStation Network or maybe even Google itself! Okay, maybe not Google, but you know what I'm trying to say.

What really frustrates me is that there is nobody trying to take them down. There probably are some hackers who are trying to stop Lizard Squad and PoodleCorp. However, clearly there aren't enough efforts to take them down. Additionally, I will never understand what PoodleCorp gets out of this. Do they just get off on other people's misfortunes?

Internet security should also be improved, but hackers will always find a way around new securities being set in stone.

I do personally believe that they will be taken down some day, but I don't see that day coming anytime soon. Anonymous, please I beg of you to fight these good for nothing neckbeards.

Should you buy the Gears of War 4: Loot Crate Edition?

Hey Guys, I'm positive most of you are aware of Loot Crate. Personally, I don't know much about it. All I know is that it's a monthly service that gives you crates filled with "goodies" or something like that. The only "experience" I have with Loot Crate is from seeing boxing videos on YouTube.

My opinion on this may be a bit bias since I'm relatively indifferent to Loot Crate, but I do love the Gears of War franchise. I'll try to be as fair as I possibly can.

Image Provided by GameSpot

If you want all the details about what is included in this crate or at all interested in buying this for whatever reason, you can check it out on Loot Crate. No, I am not sponsored by Loot Crate. My blog is too small to be getting any kind of sponsorship.

Anyways, what caught my attention is of course the different versions of this Loot Crate. Yes, there are two "versions" for this Loot Crate. Essentially, one version goes for $129.99 and $74.99.

Exactly why is one $74.99? Well, the cheaper one doesn't include the game itself and only a smaller Lancer replica. The $129.99 one has a 7'' replica Lancer and the cheaper one is 4''.

My main issue with this Loot Crate is the fact that you only get a digital code. I get that the game doesn't release until October or some people just don't give a shit if they get the digital copy of the game. Personally, I love having a physical game, so I am being picky. However, I will say that there is a benefit of getting the digital copy of the game due to getting access to the PC version and getting every game in the series for free.

Speaking of the game itself, we aren't sure if it's going to be worth a pre-order. I can say this for pretty much any game. I always say to just wait for the reviews to buy a game than to go out and pre-order it. Gears of War 4 looks visually stunning, but the core gameplay has not changed much. Whether that is good or bad thing is up to you.

Regardless, the Lancer replica is too small in my opinion. However, I'm 100% sure that apparel makes up most of the $129.99 Loot Crate. I hope that hoodie included in this Loot Crate isn't just some laminated logo of the game. However, I'm going to assume that it is.

The only reason you "should" be buying this is if you are a collector. The apparel isn't going to mean anything once the game has been out for a year. You're better off getting the digital copy of Gears of War 4 and if you really wanted to you can get the $74.99 version of the Loot Crate.

With all this being said, Gears of War 4 will be released on October 11th. I am excited for it to see where the game takes off from Gears of War 3.

Freddie's Restaurant and Pizzeria: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, this isn't a review on a restaurant at all. If you haven't heard already, this pizza joint has been getting bombarded with phone calls having to do with Five Nights at Freddy's. If you want to read more about it, you can check it out either on GameSpot or Kotaku.

At a glance, this is pretty funny. Sure, it's funny getting a few calls from kids-yes most of these calls were from children- asking about Five Nights at Freddy's just because the restaurant has the name "Freddie" in it. However, it's another thing when it's starting to become a problem for business. I even read that the manager had to open up an additional phone line in order to deal with the absurd amount of calls.

Can you imagine trying to order from this restaurant, but are unable to because some 12 year old little shit is asking about some video game that has no connection to real life?

I get that kids are stupid and don't know any better, but they have to be taught that calling a business is meant for business. Additionally, they need to know that Five Nights at Freddy's is just a video game. Video games are meant for entertainment. Even if the game was connected to real life restaurants, then I'm sure they would let the public know, so this kind of shit doesn't happen.

It's not like Freddie's Restaurant and Pizzeria is a huge-chain restaurant. This is a small family owned restaurant. Well, I'm not sure if it's small, but it's definitely no McDonald's.

On the bright side, this restaurant is getting some major promotion. It's not everyday that a small business gets this much attention from a restaurant. Sure, it's not under the best circumstances, but it's still free promotion.

That's going to be it for me today, guys. Sorry guys it's the summer. I just don't have all the time to be writing especially when there is not much going on.

Update: My recent game pickups

Hey Guys, it's been days since I made my last post. Since it is summer, there really isn't much going on right now. However, I am actually in the middle of writing a relatively lengthy post on Rainbow Six Siege tips.

I know most of you aren't interested in Rainbow Six Siege, but I play the game almost everyday and want to write something that can helpful for both current players and new players alike.

Remember how I mentioned not much is going on in the summer? I actually went binge shopping at GameStop for the past couple of weeks. I actually have a photo of every game I've been buying for the past couple of weeks, so I don't waste the time simply listing them. Besides, I can I have proof to say that I have them.
FYI, I only bought 2 of these brand new

I know this is laughable when compared to other people binge shopping at Gamestop, but it's the best I could do with my current job. I know I definitely spent around $200 for all of this. Word of advice, take advantage of the Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Pre-Owned products.

Overwatch was something I kept my eyes on for the past month. I didn't want to pay full price for it, but there were no pre-owned copies of the game at the time that I purchased it, so I ended up paying full price for it. However, I'm having fun with the game and would say it's worth the $60.

Some of you may hate me for this, but I still have yet to even play Shadow of Mordor. Literally, I have no space on my hard drive, so I need to beat a game before I can install Shadow of Mordor.

I currently have yet to complete Doom, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, Alien: Isolation, and Evil Within.

I didn't get far into Doom. I'm sorry, but I think Overwatch got the better of me that prevented me from enjoying the game. I like Doom, so please don't get me wrong. I just need to find the time to actually beat the main game and do whatever I want in the game.

I only completed the first episode for Resident Evil: Revelations 2. I have yet to even start up the game again.

I've been playing The Evil Within a lot longer. I'm on Chapter 6, but I'm stuck on the part where you have to kill that huge mutated guard dog. Don't judge me. I've wanted The Evil Within since it first released, but I never found the time to buy it.

I think I'm getting close to finishing Alien: Isolation, but I am not 100% sure. That game is much harder than I originally anticipated to be, but it's not impossible.

Before I actually wrap this up, Red Dead Redemption became backwards compatible yesterday. I installed that game even though I have very little space. Time is just not on my side. I love Red Dead Redemption and am totally happy to start the game over.
Till Next Time!!
