Should you buy the Gears of War 4: Loot Crate Edition?

Hey Guys, I'm positive most of you are aware of Loot Crate. Personally, I don't know much about it. All I know is that it's a monthly service that gives you crates filled with "goodies" or something like that. The only "experience" I have with Loot Crate is from seeing boxing videos on YouTube.

My opinion on this may be a bit bias since I'm relatively indifferent to Loot Crate, but I do love the Gears of War franchise. I'll try to be as fair as I possibly can.

If you want all the details about what is included in this crate or at all interested in buying this for whatever reason, you can check it out on Loot Crate. No, I am not sponsored by Loot Crate. My blog is too small to be getting any kind of sponsorship.

Anyways, what caught my attention is of course the different versions of this Loot Crate. Yes, there are two "versions" for this Loot Crate. Essentially, one version goes for $129.99 and $74.99.

Exactly why is one $74.99? Well, the cheaper one doesn't include the game itself and only a smaller Lancer replica. The $129.99 one has a 7'' replica Lancer and the cheaper one is 4''.

My main issue with this Loot Crate is the fact that you only get a digital code. I get that the game doesn't release until October or some people just don't give a shit if they get the digital copy of the game. Personally, I love having a physical game, so I am being picky. However, I will say that there is a benefit of getting the digital copy of the game due to getting access to the PC version and getting every game in the series for free.

Speaking of the game itself, we aren't sure if it's going to be worth a pre-order. I can say this for pretty much any game. I always say to just wait for the reviews to buy a game than to go out and pre-order it. Gears of War 4 looks visually stunning, but the core gameplay has not changed much. Whether that is good or bad thing is up to you.

Regardless, the Lancer replica is too small in my opinion. However, I'm 100% sure that apparel makes up most of the $129.99 Loot Crate. I hope that hoodie included in this Loot Crate isn't just some laminated logo of the game. However, I'm going to assume that it is.

The only reason you "should" be buying this is if you are a collector. The apparel isn't going to mean anything once the game has been out for a year. You're better off getting the digital copy of Gears of War 4 and if you really wanted to you can get the $74.99 version of the Loot Crate.

With all this being said, Gears of War 4 will be released on October 11th. I am excited for it to see where the game takes off from Gears of War 3.
Till Next Time!!
