Rage 2: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, a few days ago Bethesda released the official announcement trailer for Rage 2. If you've been following the game, you would have known that the game has been teased for a while now. Regardless, its announcement came as a surprise. Out of all the franchises that id Software could have brought back, they decided to bring back Rage.

Image Provided by DFTG

Rage was released all the way back in 2011. I didn't play the game back when it first released, but I heard about the PC port being damn near unplayable. However, I did play the game a year after its release and have some relatively good things to say about it.

Rage is a good but flawed game. In retrospect, I understand why some people would call the game disappointing. The story wasn't great, the characters weren't interesting despite giving us a Borderlands-like tone, and the driving combat felt a little tact on. However, the combat itself was great. I also was impressed with the game's graphics despite being seven years old.

It's been a while since I've played the game, but I can say for certain that it's underrated. The game did sell moderately well for a new IP, so a sequel wasn't out of the question, but seven years later is unexpected.

Based on the two trailers that have been released on Rage 2, I can say that this game does look promising. I would love to see more gameplay on it, but I'm still getting that Mad Max and Borderlands like vibe to this game. Maybe this game will have more of a narrative than the original? I sure as shit hope so because this is a game that can benefit from a good story.

id Software has been killing it these past years especially with Doom and Wolfenstein II. I'm confidant that the same can happen for Rage 2. If they fix all the criticisms that I mentioned, I'm sure the sequel will be superior to the original Rage.

If you haven't played the original Rage, I would say give it a shot. Don't expect to be blown out of this world, but it's still a damn good time.

The Evil Within 2: A Cult Classic?

Hey Guys, I know I'm a couple of weeks late on making this post, but I had to go back and play this game as much as possible to give my opinions in the most genuine way possible without sounding like a complete fanboy of The Evil Within 2. I'm just going to say it how it is, this is easily one of the best survival horror games released in recent years and one of the best games of 2017. I'll try to be as structured as possible when talking about this game.

Image Provided by VG247

The story in The Evil Within wasn't really memorable, but it had a very interesting concept. In the first game, you're just tossed in without much knowledge and is just an overall confusing plot. I'm not going to spoil what happens in terms of the story, but I will say that you do find out that you're actually in the mind of the antagonist of the game via a machine called STEM that links people's minds together. Honestly, the first game is all about survival and it did its jobs well for what it was.

Think Inception, but this isn't a dream.

The story in The Evil Within 2 feels vastly different compared to the first game as I mentioned back in my impressions post. Not only is this game about survival, but it's about finding your daughter who you thought was dead back in the previous game. I don't believe she was shown in the first game, but it's mentioned she died in a house fire, but I guess she ends up being alive for plot convenience.

For the most part, the story is interesting for what it is. Mobius turns out to be the true villain of the franchise because they were responsible for the creation of the STEM in the first place. I'm not spoiling anything as this is all revealed within the first 10 minutes or so of the game. Regardless, you're in a pretty shitty world that you need to get yourself and your daughter out of. While the story itself may not sound like something original, the characters are a lot more likable this time around and what they go throw compels you to see through the end of their stories.

One of my main complaints from the first game, was the boring main protagonist. What makes a survival horror game feel so tense is the character you play as. Do you honestly feel scared if you're character is something like John Wick? How about the way they react to what they encounter? In the first Evil Within, Sebastian is so non-nonchalant to what's going on around him. It's probably due to the mediocre voice acting, but even if the voice acting was awesome the characters are not exactly well-written.

In The Evil Within 2, it's already established that Sebastian Castellanos is no longer a Detective. As a matter of fact, he's washed up. I personally like how the game introduces him within the first 20 minutes of the game because it shows how the events from the previous game effects him. Not even the first 20 minutes, throughout the whole game you see that there is a evil within Sebastian that continues to haunt him. This is especially shown when he blames himself for losing his daughter as well as the treatment he received after surviving the events of the first game.

Sebastian is more of a character in this game than he was in the original game. He's not memorable by any stretch of the imagination, but the game does a great job at exploring him as a human being. However, to learn more about his backstory you have to go for the collectibles.

The collectibles in this game do serve a purpose. It's worthwhile to collect them because some of them lead you to supplies that you can use to help you in combat as well as exploring Sebastian as a character. You can argue that these collectibles force you to explore in the semi-open world areas such as Chapter 3. I think I spent five hours on Chapter 3 alone just exploring the area without a guide in order to find collectibles and supplies.

The open-world system is okay. Other than the collectibles and supplies, there really isn't much of a purpose to explore these open-world levels. There are side missions, but they only occur whenever you do meet a new character. They reward you with supplies and not much else. For a game like this, I really want them here, but they help with getting ammo and green gel.

Much like the first game, enemies drop green gel that you can use to upgrade Sebastian's physical abilities from shooting to health. Believe me, once you unlock the right abilities you become an unstoppable killing machine. It helps with going back for multiple playthroughs, but does kill the immersion. However, you can't do this on the Classic Mode which I think is a godsend because I think that's the way the game should be played. The limited saves and fight-or-flight mentality help to get you immersed in the survival horror feeling. If you want a real challenge, play this game on the harder difficulties to make it feel like a true survival horror game.

Before I wrap up, I do want to mention how clunky the combat mechanics are at times. Before upgrading your shooting abilities, the weapon sway will ruin your experience if you don't have the best aim. Imagine playing this on classic mode, you're going to want to run more than fight. Don't even try close quarters combat! The camera zooms in way too damn close whenever you take on enemies, so put in some good distance. You do have the option of using either a knife or an axe, but you have to find the axe and the knife doesn't do much damage.

I also mentioned this during my impressions post that Sebastian's movements are too slow. It's one solid reason why you will be discouraged from exploring the open world. I get that it's survival horror and you're supposed to move slow, but not in an open world like setting.

It sucks that this game is pretty much under the radar. If you didn't already know, it's not doing so hot sales wise much to my expectations. Anyone who is a fan of survival horror games needs to play The Evil Within 2. It's easily one of the best survival horror games I've ever played and is a significant improvement over the first game.

The Evil Within 2 Impressions

Hey Guys, it's been three since the release of The Evil Within 2. I did get the game on the first day of release, but I didn't get a chance to actually play until Saturday. I still haven't finished the game and as of writing this I'm on Chapter 9. What do I think of the game so far? Remember, this is just my impressions and not a full on review of the game. I may or may not release a review of the game. It all just depends on how much time I have.

This is a screenshot I took from the Xbox One version of the game. I think this is miles more beautiful compared to the first game.

If you've played The Evil Within, you'll notice that there is just an immediate shift in tone when you first start up the game. The first game started you off as a Detective simply working on a case without knowing what he was getting himself into while the second is about the same detective(now an ex) who is on a mission to save his daughter knowing what he's getting into.

The Evil Within is undoubtedly a survival horror video game. Sure, the difficulty of the game will effect your experience, but for the most part you had to be careful about how much ammo you used and what abilities you unlock to help you get through the story. This game is pretty difficult once you start playing on higher difficulties because resources are a lot more scarce and you're pretty much forced to use stealth in this game to conserve whatever supplies you want.

The Evil Within 2 is still a survival horror video game, but it plays differently compared to the first game. What major difference is the semi-open world.

Personally, I feel like the semi-open world is going to be divisive among players. I like it because it pretty much forces you to explore the area to find both supplies and collectibles. In my opinion, it's worthwhile to go for the collectibles because not only do they provide backstories, but some of them actually provide set pieces or more supplies that you need to survive.

However, due to Sebastian's slow movement speed you might be turned off from exploring the open world. I get that you're supposed to be moving slow in survival horror games, but this movement is unnecessarily slow given the size of the environment around you. Remember Resident Evil 4? You moved slow, but you could sprint for faster movement without a stamina bar! I feel like the stamina bar hinders exploration because you could only sprint for so long and it's barely faster than the standard movement.

In all honesty, the controls aren't the best especially when it comes to close quarters combat because the moment you aim down the camera zooms in a bit too close to you for you to miss an enemy that is in your face. Why I can't shoot from the hip is beyond me, but I guess it's done like that for the survival horror feeling.

I'm trying to avoid wording this like a review, so bear with me. All I can say that gameplay wise the game isn't too different from the original The Evil Within. With the implementation of open world elements they did take some risks. I don't really want to talk about side missions because there aren't a whole lot in the game, but just know that it's worthwhile to complete them in order to keep getting supplies.

While I'm playing on medium difficulty at the moment, I can say that The Evil Within 2 is slightly easier than the original because of the crafting system. You can upgrade your weapons, craft ammo, and even craft healing supplies!

So far, I'm liking the game. The story is nothing special, but I still find it to be interesting. Just don't expect to see award winning voice acting or memorable characters. If you played the original game, I say try this game out some time. Maybe I'll give a full fledged review of the game if I either absolutely love the game or just have second thoughts on it.

Will The Evil Within 2 fail Financially?

Hey Guys, I was browsing NeoGaf and stumbled upon an article that I found to be interesting. Instead of making a post responding to multiple threads on NeoGaf like I usually do, I decided that I want to talk about this topic in depth because I'm very interested in The Evil Within.

Image Provided by Bethesda

Okay, I understand what the OP was trying to get to when he mentioned that back in 2014 The Evil Within was released into a market where we didn't have a Japanese Survival horror game available in October. Additionally, he mentioned that the game was hyped up way ahead of its launch due to its artwork, "slow cross gen period" and the developers behind it.

I personally became hyped up for the game when I heard the director of Resident Evil 4 was working on The Evil Within. I don't believe there was a gameplay trailer until E3, but that is what solidified my hype for the game. At that time, people who were really into Resident Evil were hyped for this game due to the disappointment of Resident Evil 6 for not going back to its survival horror roots.

The OP was right about there not being enough promotion to The Evil Within 2. I don't even think I seen one commercial on live TV promoting the game while the first game has plenty of commercials for the game-at least when I was watching AMC. Additionally, Resident Evil 7 released this year! Who wouldn't want to buy that game over The Evil Withing 2? Promotion is going to be the killing blow for this horror sequel since the only sources promoting the game's release are gaming outlets and a couple of retail stores!

I chuckled a bit when he mentioned Sins of the Father Curse. This actually made a lot of sense. Titantfall and Watch Dogs weren't bad games, but they ultimately ended up as some of the most disappointing games at the time. While I never played Watch Dogs 2, I can say that Titanfall 2 is a significant improvement over the first game and easily one of the best games of 2016. However, it was wiped out due to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 demolishing the gaming market. I even forgot to mention the other games that came out in October which even include the Skyrim remaster!

Another thing I feel like should  be mentioned was the fact The Evil Within released on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. See where I am getting at? Since it was available on so many consoles, it's able to have a much bigger audience, so the fact that The Evil Within 2 will only be available on three platforms means that sales are going to take a hit.

Going back to the Sins of the Father Curse, I wouldn't say that The Evil Within was a bad game. I agree with the author that it's flawed, but I never really encountered the problems the OP listed. My main issue with the game is the main protagonist not really having much of a personality.

I don't believe that the game is going to be a complete commercial failure, but I do feel like it's not going to exactly match its predecessor's sales on day one. Based on early impressions of the game, The Evil Within 2 is an improvement over the first game. I know I'm getting it through Amazon on Friday, so I'm personally excited for the game.

If I'm wrong about the game not being a commercial failure, then I can definitely see it becoming a cult classic much like Titanfall 2.

Was Bethesda's E3 2017 Conference THAT Bad?

Hey Guys, I know that Bethesda's conference was a couple of days ago, but I wasn't sure if I was going to talk about any of the conferences. To be honest, this has to be one of the most disappointing E3 conferences in recent years. Out of all the companies that were at E3, I noticed that Bethesda has been getting shit on the most. I didn't see the conference day one. I went back to watch it to see what the fuss is about. Was it that bad? Well, let's go over what happened during the conference.
Image Provided by Reddit

Let's address the elephant in the room. Why the hell are we getting another Skyrim port? I get that it's a way to increase the library of games available for the Switch, but there are so many superior versions of Skyrim available. If you have the options of playing Skyrim on either PC or the Nintendo Switch, I'm 100% sure you would say PC.

Skyrim is a great game, but Bethesda can't rely on Skyrim ports to win over fans. Hell, at this rate we might be seeing Fallout 4 getting ported as well. I'm just hoping that Skyrim doesn't end up going the Resident Evil 4 route in terms of porting.

Fallout 4 and Doom are getting the VR treatment. You see a trend right? So far we are seeing games we have played before, but they are getting updated. While it's cool that Fallout 4 and Doom are getting VR upgrades, I really don't want Bethesda to keep going back to its older games. Doom is a year old and Fallout 4 is going on two years in November.

As a side note, can you imagine playing Doom in VR? The fast movement is easily going to cause motion sickness, so how the hell is it even going to be playable unless they slow down the game's pace?

The Evil Within and Wolfenstein are getting sequels. Great. I'm not being sarcastic at all. I liked The Evil Within and am happy that we are getting another game. It does have its faults especially for the lead character who seems to be nonchalant about everything going on in the game.

Wolfenstein: The New Colossus was an unexpected announcement. The New Order is a criminally underrated game. I liked the gameplay as well as the story. If you haven't played The New Order, you can pick it up at a dirt cheap price.

Do you really want me to go into the Creation Club? I don't know if those credits are going to cost real money or not, but I'm sure they are. Paid mods have never been okay to me. However, there are people who pour their hearts and souls into these mods that do deserve to make a profit. I prefer to not come to conclusions yet as we still have to wait to see what comes of this.

I have yet to finish Dishonored 2, so it does suck that I won't experience the new DLC until I do complete the main game.

So was Bethesda's conference that bad? Well, it wasn't good. However, I wouldn't say it was a trainwreck. There were some good announcements made during the conference, but I guess the Skyrim port and the Creation Club is what really killed their show.

Fallout 4 Nuka World Impressions

Hey Guys, sorry for the lack of posts recently. I figure it's time to release my impressions of the Nuka World DLC I have so far. Keep in mind that this isn't a review. I have no clue when I will have the review up because I need to find the time to play the game. I made a good amount of progress, but I have yet to finish it.
This is the first thing you will see when you first enter Nuka World
Let me start off by saying that this DLC doesn't waste any time and gets right into the action. I don't want to spoil anything, but let's say you have to go through a jigsaw-like maze in order to actually enter Nuka-World. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world especially towards the end, so I recommend you stock up on ammo and Stimpacks.

Although I'm still early in the quest line for Nuka World, I feel like there is too much being thrown at you at once. As soon as you meet up with the other Raider factions, then you're bombarded with quests. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but to have so much to do at the same time is just way too much. Additionally, you'll be confused as to which quest is important to the main quest line.

Minor spoilers but you are given a collection tasks that involves you going around the park looking for Star Cores to power up the park or something like that. I should also add that they are not marked. The area they are located at are marked, but the actual Star Cores are not, so you have to play detective in order to find them. Honestly, I feel like that's just cheap! It was probably done this way in order to add more to the total length of the story.

However, I will admit that it's fun exploring this park. It may not be as big as Far Harbor, but there definitely is a lot more life and activities in Nuka World. It is confusing to navigate through the park. I honestly have no idea where to find a vendor, so I'm stuck without any Stimpacks. It does take some time to at least get familiar with the layout of the park, so you'll have to do a lot more exploring on knowing where the hell you're going rather than just doing the quests.

I can't say much about the DLC as I still need to complete it. I will have a review up for the game once I have time for it as I need to complete Witcher 3 first.

Was the Fallout 4 Season Pass Worth It?

Hey Guys, with the Nuka World DLC coming out this month and being the final DLC for Fallout 4 I believe that it's time to evaluate the value we got from the season pass. Although I should be waiting for the Nuka World DLC to release in order to get a definitive evaluation of the season pass, there is more than enough content to talk about the season pass. This is going to be a lengthy article, so get your drinks ready. However, I will include a tl;dr for those of you who are either lazy or unsure about the point I'm going to make.

I loved Fallout 4. The base game was fun to go through, but once you finished the main quest and a majority of the side quests there really wasn't much to do. Before any DLC released, starting a new game was an option, but it wasn't the best option because of the dialogue system being downgraded.

If you are a veteran Fallout player, you would know that most of the DLC released in the past Fallout games(specifically Fallout 3 and New Vegas) were story-driven. You could easily put in 10 hours alone for the Broken Steel DLC for Fallout 3. Additionally, all the DLC for Fallout 3 was story-driven. New Vegas had majority story-driven DLC, but there was a couple of miscellaneous DLC that also released for it.

Fallout 4, as of 2016, only has two story-driven DLC. I am not counting Automatron has one of them because it can be beaten in less than 3 hours. Additionally, it is mostly made for crafting. This means that 4 of Fallout 4's DLC available is made for crafting.

I think you got a clue as to where I am getting at. Fallout 4's DLC gave us access to the expansion of the crafting system. Not to say that they are bad, but they were just painfully mediocre. The recent Vault-Tech workshop DLC isn't that bad, but it isn't great. However, the first workshop DLC was just terrible because there really isn't much to do on your settlements to begin with.

Crafting isn't one of my favorite things to do. Minecraft and Terraria just don't peak my interest because I don't like crafting. I prefer to play games with a story rather than just playing a game with no goals. I know I can make my own goals with crafting games and spend endless amounts of time crafting, but it just doesn't give me the same satisfaction of going through a story.

Honestly, I feel like the season pass wasn't worth the $30 I paid for because I just don't enjoy crafting as a whole. However, I am glad I only paid $30 instead of $50. If you enjoy crafting, then you probably got your money's worth out of the game.

However, I believe this was done on purpose because Fallout 4 is clearly not meant for veteran Fallout players. It was dubbed down to appeal to new fans because not everyone is going to be a fan of the slow-paced, complex nature of Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

td:lr: Season pass is not worth it for players looking for story based DLC.

Anyways, I hope that Nuka World is a fitting conclusion to the DLC for Fallout 4. Maybe it will be the best DLC or maybe it will disappoint.

New Fallout 4 DLC: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, before I talk about the three new pieces of DLC coming to Fallout 4. Did you know that ThinkGeek has made this Pip-boy replica that is ready to pre-order? It's probably a lot better than the original Pip-boy that was originally released back when the Pip-Boy Edition for Fallout 4 was selling out.
Image Provided by GameSpot
The main difference between the original Pip-Boy and this one by ThinkGeek is that this Pip-Boy has a built-in screen, so you don't have to attach your phone to this Pip-Boy. I should also add that this costs $350. Wow, this thing currently costs more than an Xbox One.

Anyways, let me present both the DLC and my thoughts on them.

The first DLC will be Contraptions Workshop. This will be released on June 21st, 2016. Yes, this is really coming out next week. It hasn't even been a month since Far Harbor came out.
Image Provided by Gameranx
Look, I really don't care about this one since it is customization. If you want to know more about this, please check it out over at Bethesda's main website. I guess what you should know about this is that it comes with elevators! You probably have to build it with materials you don't have at the moment.

The second DLC is Vault-Tech Workshop. This will be releasing sometime in July. Yes, even more customization-centered DLC.
Image Provided by Gameranx
Although I am not a fan of customization, I would say this looks interesting. Imagine being able to create your own vault and conducting "experiments" on your people. Yes, you can actually do experiments with your vault dwellers. I have no idea how many times I am going to say "yes" in this post.

The final DLC for Fallout 4 is Nuka World. It will be released sometime in August. Could this be the best DLC? Maybe. However, anything could happen in the months leading to its release.
Image Provided by Gameranx
Not much is really said about Nuka World other than the fact it will add more quests and more locations to explore.

To sum up what I said, I think the Contraptions DLC is going to be useless to me, so I don't even know if I will be downloading it. Personally, I feel they should have added more story-driven DLC because I think I would spend more time doing quests rather than just cutimzing my settlements or what not.

Should the Skyrim Remaster be free on PC?

Hey Guys, E3 is officially in full swing. There was a number of things that were announced yesterday that I want to talk about, but I don't think I'll be covering everything. I'll only talk about anything I personally find interesting or won't like. I will be making some mentions here and there.

Anyways, let me get back to talking about the Skyrim remaster.

Yes, that's right. There is a Skyrim remaster on the way and will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th.

I do not really have strong opinions on Skyrim. I don't remember much about Skyrim since it has been a while since I played the game. I should also add that I purchased the Legendary Edition of the game that came with all the DLC. All I remember is playing through the main game as well as the DLC quests and just stopped playing because there was not much to do. Yeah, I might have missed a shit ton of things, but I got bored of the game after a while.

Although it may look like I'm rambling, I'm not and you'll know why I went on for so long. I was indifferent to the remaster until I saw this...
Image provided by Twitter

Although I own the game the game on console, I laughed my ass off on this. Literally, Bethesda practically said "Fuck You" to console players. However, we get to have mod support ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)! Let me explain.

Because of mods already available on PC, Skyrim already has been remastered. Arguably, modders have done a better job remastering the game than Bethesda did, but it is my lousy opinion.

Realistically, Skyrim should only be remastered on console because the PC version of the game was the superior version of the game when it released back in 2011. Should the Skyrim remaster be free on console in this case? No, it still takes effort to remaster the game on consoles, so Bethesda should make a profit out of it.

I feel the game is only free for PC players because Bethesda already knows that Skyrim has already been remastered on PC a long time ago.

I'll be posting a couple of more articles later today depending on how much is announced today. I want to talk about the Fallout 4 DLC, Dishonored 2, and maybe Titanfall 2.

Don't buy the Wasteland Workshop DLC for Fallout 4

Hey Guys, sorry it's been a while since I posted anything. I haven't really been getting the time nor motivation to write anything. A lot of things have been going on in the gaming industry lately such as the release of Dark Souls III, which I totally forgot about.

Anyways, the Wasteland Workshop DLC released back on Tuesday. Because I have the season pass, I had to download it then load it up. Because this wasn't a huge DLC pack, it took less than two minutes for me to install it. As soon as I loaded it up, I was greatly disappointed.

I am going to admit that I will be kind of bias because I am not a huge fan of the crafting system in Fallout 4.

My biggest issue with this DLC is that you have very limited space on your settlements to make these new crafting items. It's not too limited, but it does feel like you don't have enough room to make what you want.

Additionally, the time to take you to get all the supplies needed to craft these cages will tire you out and not want to make them.

Don't get me wrong. There is a ton of great ideas that are presented through this DLC, but the way that this was executed really hinders all these ideas.

I have the season pass for Fallout 4, but I feel like this was still a waste of $5 even though I did not pay anything for it. Easily, this has to be the worst DLC pack by far for Fallout 4. It's clear that this was intended to keep players busy for the bigger DLC pack Far Harbor.

I'm done talking about this for now. I'll be back if I get the Gears of War 4 Beta code in time. Apparently, the Coalition is having issues distributing them.

Mod support is coming to Fallout 4: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, most of us were waiting for this moment for what seems like forever. However, mod support is coming out in April.... for PC. This should not come as some surprise to any of us since it was already announced that mod support would come to PC.

According to Todd Howard, "It'll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4". Should we really think it would be a good month before we Xbox One users get mod support? Probably not. We might have to wait a bit longer for mod support to come to consoles. Additionally, PC modkit tools are a lot more advanced than what we can get on a console. If mods did not work properly on a PC, then how do we expect to use them on weaker machines?

The point of this article isn't me getting pissed off that console peasants such as I have to wait longer. The point of this article is to address how grateful we should be that Bethesda is taking their time trying to release mod support in its best state possible.

New Fallout 4 DLC Announced: My Thoughts

Hey Guys, I'm back with some great news from Bethesda. First of all, it's been about 3 months since the release of Fallout 4, so the time has come for DLC. Seriously, having to go save settlements in a repetitive manner gets boring after a while. I'll save that for the ultra late review though. I'll show you the DLC in chronological order and give my thoughts on each of them.

If you want to see full report from Bethesda, then you can check out their official page here. For copyright purposes, I do not own the images. Anyways, let's get to the news.

Automatron
Release: March 2016
This DLC is basically about some Mechanist who releases a horde of evil robots and you have to hunt them down while using their parts to make your very own robots.

Depending on how the story behind this DLC is handled, it might be intriguing. Hopefully, people in the commonwealth will be able to react to these robots in order to make the DLC more meaningful. Additionally, if I could make the most badass looking robot with the most effective weapons then I would be more than happy with the customization. Although I might sound stupid for saying this, but no amount of badass robots will replace my Dogmeat as a companion.

Wasteland Workshop
Release: April 2016
This DLC basically allows you capture live creatures and people. Once you do this, you can have them face off against each other or your settlers in a gladiator-like battle. There is also some added customization features in the settlement building thing.

Although this sounds cool on paper, this easily has to be the worst DLC for the game even though only three were announced. Seriously, if there is no added story then why even add it to the game? However, this is just my opinion. Maybe most of you guys could get hundreds of hours worth of gameplay into this "DLC".

Far Harbor
Release: May 2016
This is the largest DLC of the three based on its $25 price tag for owners without the season pass. Apparently, it is the largest world that Bethesda has made for a DLC, so there must be a lot to offer for this. New armor, faction quests, and more have been mentioned. Check out the website for more information about this DLC.

Before I wrap up for today, I have to mention that the price for the season pass is going to increase. For North America, the price is going up from $30 to $40. However, you have time to pick up the season pass for $30 before March 1st. You will not be paying anything extra if you pay the $30 for it.

Fallout 4 Impressions #1

Hey Guys, I know this is way overdue. I wanted to release this as soon as possible since the two week mark of Fallout 4's release is quickly approaching. In all honesty, my feeling towards the game have been very bipolar. You have critics praising this game like no tomorrow and you have YouTube reviewers saying things that critics have not been mentioning.

Currently, I am level 34. I know that I am not very skilled at the game. I had my difficulty on normal for the entirety of the main story quest line. I changed it to hard after I completed it. I think I was on level 28 when I changed the difficulty.

Word of advice, if you can handle it try playing the game on hard or even go further beyond. The game is not hard unless you do not have any good weapons or armor. You could go through the whole game in power armor, but you would have to keep searching for fusion cores to keep them going.

Personally, I hardly used power armor in the game. I think I only have about 4 sets of power armor. The reason why I do not use power armor is because I like to have a challenge. If there are moments where I literally am stuck, then I will use power armor as an ultimate last resort. Additionally, I like the look of my character and I just think the power armor just hinders it.

How about the main story? Well, I do not want to spoil anything, but I thought it was okay. The twist was pretty good though! I honestly was not expecting it. However, I really was not satisfied with the ending. In case you're curious, I did side with the Brotherhood of Steel. They have firepower and armor! I may not agree with everything they did, but I got to do what I've got to do to get some awesome weapons.

I do not know if it's just me, but I think Ghouls are a lot more powerful in Fallout 4 then in Fallout 3. Seriously, I remember that I could literally just shoot a Ghoul in the chest and they will go down. In Fallout 4, I try my best to avoid them in pacts! I got this Electrified Chinese Sword that will take most ghouls in a hit or two, but it is pretty much useless if there are too many of them!

However, I do really love the fact that Fallout 4 is a lot more challenging. Well, at least a lot more challenging if you are not using power armor and/or playing on hard.

I think I finished the main story at around the 24 hour mark. I still have a wealth of activities to do, but the problem with that is the fact that you literally have to go on the Fallout wiki to find these side quests if you do not want to have to keep searching the Commonwealth blindly.

I do not know how long I will have a review up on this game. I'm actually going to have to include screenshots for it.

Fallout 4 Has Gone Gold!

Hey Guys, great news has come from Bethesda about Fallout 4! The game has finally gone gold meaning the game is ready to ship.

You can check out the original tweet here
Although the game is ready to be shipped, I don't want Bethesda to release it any earlier because there are probably some tweaks that they might want to do with the game to make sure it's in the best state possible.

If you didn't know this by now, but Dell will be selling an Xbox One bundle that comes with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Fallout 4 for just $300.

Check out the Limited Edition Fallout 4 Xbox One Controller

Hey Guys, I know that I have a schedule that I said I would stick too, but I have to make up for the missed articles over the weekend. Anyways, I thought this was a cool thing that I have to share.

Before I say anything about the controller, Bethesda is having a sale at their online store. It's only lasting a week and these are probably the coolest Fallout merchandise that I've seen in a while. I believe it's like a 20% most products besides video games.

Take a look at the controller,

Remember, this is literally a limited edition controller

Only 5,000 of these will be made for sale starting tomorrow. The price hasn't been revealed, yet. Keep in mind that this controller is wired, so you won't even have to worry about charging any batteries.

This is a cool-looking controller. If you can get your hands on it, I would highly suggest buying this controller before it's gone because it will become a collector's item.

There's also this Great War t-shirt that looks awesome as well. You can get it for $16 or get it for free if you pre-order Fallout 4 through the online store. That's actually a pretty good deal considering the design of the shirt.

Don't forget to sign up for the giveaway that the store is doing as it's literally going to giveaway Fallout 4 merchandise to people every Monday until November 9th. All you have to do is give your e-mail address.

1TB Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle Announced - Is it worth a buy?

Hey Guys, before I give you guys the news story of the day I'm letting you know that I'm still working on my Rainbow Six Siege Beta impressions. Hopefully, it will be ready either later today or sometime tomorrow. Anyways, back on topic.

In the recent trend of Xbox One game bundles Microsoft has announced a new 1TB Xbox One console bundled with Fallout 4 coming this holiday season. Specifically, it will release on November 10th.

Interesting design?
This bundle will come with a download code for Fallout 4 as well as Fallout 3. Fallout 3 should be able to work due to the fact that Xbox One will have backwards compatibility by the time this bundle releases.

Before I go on to why or why you shouldn't buy this console, I have to say that this design does not look appealing at all. I literally gave the same criticism to the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Xbox One bundle. Sure most people will look past this since it's Fallout 4, but a lot of people without that knowledge of video games will probably look past this.

Should you buy this bundle? It's a 1TB hard drive with a game that has an insane amount of value for just $399. It may not come with Kinect, but does that really matter? If you don't have an Xbox One, please buy this bundle.

Fallout 4 is already worth its asking price of $59.99. Additionally, Fallout 4 will be having weekly updates as well as the ability to have mod support, so I'm positive that 1TB hard drive will come in handy.

If the Fallout 3 download code came with all its DLC and if it came with the Fallout 4 season pass, then there would almost be no reason not to buy this bundle. However, I feel that the biggest downfall are these two exact things as well as the fact that they don't include the physical copies of the game.

Regardless, this is a pretty good bundle. If you haven't pre-ordered Fallout 4, please do it! However, if you're like me trying to wait for a good pre-order bonus then wait it out a bit.

Fallout 4 Xbox One HDD Space Revealed

Hey Guys, it's been finally revealed that Fallout 4 will take up 28.12GB of hard drive space for Xbox One users. Don't believe me? Well, check out this screenshot I took from the Xbox Store.

This is actually very surprising. I was expecting anything between 30GB to 50GB for Fallout 4 considering the amount of content the game will have on its release date. However, 28.12GB is pretty small for a game this large.

However, I'm pretty sure this number will just increase even more when the updates and DLC start rolling in. Believe it or not, there is a large portion of storage that was used for the dialogue for the game.

I'm willing to bet that this game will take up at least 40GB by the end of this year just by updates alone. I call it first.

Fallout 4 won't have a level cap

Hey Guys, Bethesda has confirmed that once players have completed the main story to Fallout 4 they can still continue to level up. Here's the post itself,

Fallout 4 is proving itself to be Game of the Year worthy every time something new is announced for it. Additionally, this game is proving itself to have some serious replay value as there is pretty much hundreds of hours worth of gameplay that this game has.

Fallout 4 will release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 10th, 2015. I'm definitely looking forward to this game as much as anybody is.

You can romance companions in Fallout 4

Hey Guys, some more news came from QuakeCon 2015 about Fallout 4. Much like most RPGs, you can romance the companions that you have in the game.
Image Provided by GameSpot

There is a total of 12 companions that are in the game, but it's unknown how many you can have at a time. You can even romance any of them regardless of gender.

However, Bethesda recently announced that you can only romance human companions only. I'm positive nobody would want to romance an animal or ghoul. Sorry for anyone who wanted to romance a Deathclaw or something like that.

Fallout Anthology coming to PC and it's amazing!

Hey Guys, if you thought the Pip-Boy Edition for Fallout 4 was awesome then you'll be in for a treat with this bundle.
Image provided by Polygon

This has to be one of the best video game bundles I have ever seen. Literally, this comes with pretty much ever game in the franchise but Fallout 4. The only real downside to this bundle is the fact that this is just available to PC users.

This bundle will be available on September 29th in the US, October 1st in Australia, and October 2nd in Europe. You ready to hear the price? Well, be prepared to get a heart attack. This bundle is only $50.

You get 5 games that are filled with over hundreds of hours worth of gameplay for just $50. They all come in this replica mini-nuke too! If you have not played Fallout before, there is pretty much no reason for you not to buy this. Trust me, this bundle is worth the price tag and is just a steal at this price.

The only reasons why you wouldn't get it are you either don't play on PC or already have most/all the games. Otherwise, you need to get this if you never played Fallout or are a diehard Fallout fan. Great job, Bethesda! You guys did it again!
